  1. uniforms looked sharp
  2. Talk about having a chance to absolutely steal a win
  3. Against a 30 MPH wind no less. Hey, no problem. This game is over . 2-0
  4. I agree, he played bad today. Im just saying that the stat junkies and fantasy geeks who didnt even watch weeks 1 and 2 and said he was awfull, will probably come back this week and say he is improving....when in reality, those of us who watched the game see regression.
  5. WHY CALL TIMEOUTS ON O?????????????????????????????????
  6. ( why call timeout at 2:02, you need them for defense to get the ball back) The thing thats interesting about Losman is his stats. Week 1 and 2 his stats were very pedestrian , but everyone who watched the game thought he played well. Today he is approaching 300 yards...might add a second TD here in garbage time......and everyone who has watched the game thinks he is in over his head.
  7. I agree, but maybe you should have mentioned in an actual GOALLINE package...not that ridiculous trips right formation then fake the toss sweep to McGahee for a backside naked Bootleg. SMASH MOUTH FOOTBALL!!!!! THIS IS THE JETS!!!! NOT THE JAGUARS OR THE BEARS!!!!
  8. The offense as no urgency, they got way too cute early taking 3 points off the board to run a gadget play....and they cant get out of their own way. They dont deserve to win
  9. Now why would they do that when they could draft the almighty Jason Allen. By the way, did he play on Sunday? I didn't hear his name called once.
  10. He has a potential superstar RB who excells at catching the ball out of the backfield ( Brown), but brings in a far inferior RB on 3rd downs ( Suggs). Reminds me a little of McGahee / Williams.
  11. I love how they use routine win. Routine how? The Dolphins haven't won a game this season. Routine against the Bills? Well, the Bills have won 3 out of the last 4 against the fish.....so Im not sure where the arrogance is coming from. I know, maybe they're putting a lot of faith in Daunte Culpepper. I mean, the man has thrown 6 whole TD passes in his last 12 starts
  12. Hollings was a suplemental draft pick by Houston a few years back....they thought he was loaded with potential....and it never panned out. He is extremely fast, although his speed doesn't translate to quickness on the field. He spent the summer in Colts camp, and got cut even though James Mungro wound up on I.R. Not a big deal, teams bring in players for tryouts every week. Its just part of the business.
  13. Yeah, if they new ahead of time that they werent going to convert......then they probably wouldnt have done it. However, I like the call. Try to put the game away while you have momentum. I cant complain when I was sitting here screaming at my TV for them to go for it. Im not going to be one of those hindsight is 20/20 fans. My emotions as a fan said go for it...........so even though the outcome sucked....its hard for me to criticize.
  14. Honestly, Im not too upset. Yeah, it was frustrating as hell. I have a million what if's. What if McGahee gets the spot.....what if they dont call that block in the back on Royal........what if they dont elect to throw it from their own endzone. ( although, honestly, I think the PAts had so much momentum they would have driven down and gotten the FG anyway)... But this game wasnt supposed to be close. The Bills were the more physical team out there for a good majority of the game. Rookies were forced into action and showed well for themselves. ( Whitner, Simpson, Ellison, Williams). Yeah, we lost.........very annoying...typical Patriot win.......but.. A) I dont think many of us had this game circled as a W on our schedule anyway B) I think maybe this Bills team is a little better than we all gave them credit for. This season could be interesting.
  15. Should I start Corey Dillon or Brian Westbrook? 10 rushing yards= 1 point 10 passing yards= 1 point 6 point rushing TD No points per reception
  16. I think in the end it will be Posey. Keeping him around as a 4th DE, also saves you a roster spot because your backup DE can also be a depth LB as well. Right now I think the Bills are very deep at LB, with Watson, Haggan, Stamer, and Ellison ....where they are very thin at DE. I think Jauron will simply do whatever he can to keep the best players around....and if that means a position switch for Posey, I think they'll do it. I don't think Posey is very smooth in coverage, and looks very stiff when he tries to change directions. Maybe just having the job of going forward in the pass rush role is what he needs. Unfortunately, in the little i have seen of him putting his hand down and rushing the passer....he gets locked up by the tackle and taken out of the play. Posey may not even make this roster. He's not that good of a football player. Wow, I just totally changed my mind in a matter of 2 paragraphs. That's a record.
  17. No, i don't think Big Arm means great QB. Mike Vick and Daunte Cullpepper have big arms...but I would take the pretty good arms of Tom Brady and Peyton Manning over them all day long. ***IF*** Pennington is healthy, you're right....he is a much better QB than Patrick Ramsey But, realistically Pennington isn't healthy....and hasn't been consistently healthy since his miracle season of 2002. So, when you factor everything in...I think Patrick Ramsey is the best Qb on the roster
  18. I thought Clemens was a horrible pick personally. Here is a guy who was projected to be a 5th or 6th round pick coming off of the season....and the Jets brought him in for a workout, fell in love....and now he is a second round QB that you hitch your wagons to? Patrick Ramsey is the best QB on that roster at this point.
  19. I believe the Rams resigned Jeff Smoker this offseason, and Ryan Fitzpatrick is also on the roster. If Nall is out for any extended period of time.............I could see the Bills jumping on one of those 2 Qb's ( whoever the Rams decide to cut).......because of their familiarity with Fairchild's offensive system. Unless the Rams decide to keep 4 Qb's....because they already have Frerotte and Bulger
  20. Well, Bannan is no longer on the Bills...........Lindell finished 10th among NFL kickers who played in 16 games last year with an 82.9% field goal average......ahead of Elam, Vinatieri, Jeff Reed, Josh Brown, and John Kasay ( just to name a few).....and spare us the " He only makes chip shot FG's argument. He was the ONLY kicker who started 16 games to go 100% on is field goal attempts from 50 yards or more...going 3 for 3. And I love how you know so much about our offensive line and our running game when we have a new offensive coordinator, new system, and 3 different starters from last season's opening day squad. You can "calculate" your draft opinions all you want to.....but until they step on the field...it's all opinion. So, using that as an argument at this point is really pointless. They wanted Whitner, and they didnt believe they could be guaranteed to get him by trading down....so it wasn't worth an extra 3rd round pick to potentially miss out on the guy you targeted as YOUR guy in the first round. Dont risk the first round for an extra 3rd round pick.
  21. He wont be throwing to scrubs. They'll just line Mike Vrabel up at WR and it will somehow work out for them.
  22. I dont see what the problem is really. A. J Feely is the only one on that list I would question. Anthony Wright, Kyle Boller, Joey Harrington, and Patrick Ramsey have all had just as many solid games as Holcomb...and have all shown the same inconsistency he has. Me, if I had 1 game to win....i would take Holcomb over A.J Feely and Charlie Batch. Other than that, I agree with the magazines opinion.
  23. The key word here is rebuilding. When you rebuild you get younger, and you fill holes. By getting younger, the Bills opened up a lot of holes. No doubt there are serius questions on the defensive line. However, Levy could only fill so many holes this offseason. If they hadn't taken Whitner, and taken Bunkley instead....the question we would all be asking today is who will replace Matt Bowen in 2007? Levy took the players who he felt were the best available at positions of need. In 2007, he will take the same approach, and this roster should be looking very close to his ideal football roster. You have to give a GM 2 offseasons in my mind to overturn a roster. Trying to grade one after part of 1 offseason is ludacris.
  24. This year reminds me so much of 2002. In 2001 Donahoe just came in and cleaned house and got rid of all of the contracts and talent, and started over from scratch. Levy at least inherited some talent in tact ( Clements, McGee, Spikes, Fletchers, Schobel, Crowell, Peters, Evans, McGahee). If you look at the 2002 roster, Donahoe was building towards a strong run in 2003. I think we all can agree that the team in 2003 ( that went 6-10) was a lot more talented than that record showed, and should have done more. Look at the roster as it is constructed. The first thing Marv did was bring in guys who fit the system, and sign them to long term deals. If you look at a team like the Colts, they don't have great cornerbacks. They have solid cornerbacks in Jason David and Nick Harper, but their studs in the secondary are at safety in Bob Sanders and Marlin Jackson...along with Mike Doss. If you assume Clements is gone after this season, the Bills secondary going forward is........ CB- McGee CB- Youboty FS- Simpson SS- Whitner again, if you project these players out based on their predraft rankings ( which is all you can do at this point)....you see solid corners, a complete Ball Hawk at SS......and Marv took a flier on a first day talent in Simpson who stuck around until day two. LB wise, the Bills have Crowell and Spikes locked up for the long term, with Posey and Fletcher free agents. Fletcher is getting older, and may not be able to resign. Marv went out and got Courtney Watson in a trade as an insurance Policy. Is Watson a future pro bowler? No. But in a cover 2 system ( a perfect scheme for his skill set) the Bills wont be stuck with a complete hole at MLB going into next season if Fletcher leaves. OLB- Crowell MLB- Watson OLB- Spikes D-Line wise......the cover 2 is all about pass rushers. We went out and got 3 technique 2 DT in Triplett, and drafted one in McCargo.....along with having Tim Anderson who is more of a nose. The Bills as they stand now have 1 good pass rushing DE....and 1 liability. Unless Kelsay makes huges strides this season, You can see where the Bills offseason priority will be. RDE- Schobel DT- Triplett/ McCargo DT- Anderson LDE- Kelsay ( upgrade area) if you factor in the money the Bills will have free'd up if they don't resign Clements or Fletcher ( although I'd like to see them keep FLetcher).......they will have enough money to go get a pass rusher ( Dwight Freeney is set to be a free agent)........or they can draft one as well. In the span of 2 years Marv has taken our defense that was looking old.....and injected young talented players that all fly to the football. Not exactly the 85 bears, but you can see the direction this team is going. Last year when this team was losing, the upside was minimal as our 32 year old QB was throwing passes to our unhappy 32 year old WR, while our 32 year old Strong safety couldnt cover run of the mill TE's....and our 33 year old run stuffing DT couldn't stop anyone from running all over our D............and our 32 year old center kept getting bull rushed back into the QB's face. Now, if/when this team stuggles, you at least see the upside of young talent. I dont know.....just a thought.
  25. Im not Drew Bledsoe's biggest fan or anything, but Peerless has zero room to talk on declining talent.
