  1. So, because this team elected not to kick a Fg at the end of the game....instead decided to go for it.....and when the Titans had the right defense called.....Losman had to scramble around and throw up a prayer because taking a sack would have given the Bills no chance....at least a hail mary prayer gives them a shot on the play.....Ralph Wilson is cheap, the Bills GM sucks, and the Bills coaching staff sucks? Wow.....and to only think.... if Lindell is brought in to kick that FG and he makes it....Wilson is brilliant for hiring LEvy, Levy is brilliant for hiring Jauron, and Jauron is Brilliant for drawing up another winning gameplan. Wow, you're not fickled.
  2. If the defense makes a stop here we have a shot still.....if not, it's over
  3. You may be missing the visual....but I can catch you up on the audio. It's basically a Vince Young lovefest with a " Oh by the way, the Bills are playing too" attitude.
  4. The Bills probably couldn't have gotten away with having Clements on Gates because they wanted to have Whitner in the box. I agree on plays where GAtes split out that Clements would have been a better option, but to have Clements in the box instead of Whitner on plays where Gates is lining up on the line is giving the Chargers the green light to run it down our throats. It sounds kind of stupid to say that after LT went for 185 and 2 TD's, but having seen what the Bills have done against the run this year...I actually expected worse. Jauron has got to do a better job on that challenge. Losing 2 timeouts is absolutely inexcusable against a team that you KNOW is going to go into clock mode in the 4th quarter with Martyball. None of it matter as the Chargers scored when they were in clock mode.
  5. For all of the complaining , the Bills are keeping this game close. Maybe they know what they are doing. Who knows.
  6. Just flipped on the Lions 49ers game and saw him laying on the turf. Wow he is injury prone.
  7. The way for the Bills to beat the Colts is simple. Simply stop Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne with two cornerbacks who are overpaid and underperforming. Stop Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeney with two tackles who are inexperienced Stop Peyton Manning from finding one on one coverages in our secondary with 2 rookie safeties Take advantage of their pourous run defense with our scrapheap/ journeyman/has been RB . Outcoach Tony Dungy/ Tom Moore/ Ron Meeks with Dick Jauron/ Steve Fairchild/Perry Fewell All of this happens, and the Bills will win. YIKES!!!
  8. I expected to see something more along the lines of..... " We'll do fine, but the real story is the comeback. The comeback is underway, and I'm making history. Win or lose, there is no disputing how hard I have worked to come back from my injury. Now, everyone please go to my website and order a TKO comeback T-Shirt"
  9. Good, maybe he'll run into our punter 2 times next year when we play the Patriots like he did this year when we played the Vikings. I thought Rashad Baker was an ok player with a lot of raw ability, just not a lot of good football instincts...........but at this point I think he is probably a guy who will float around the league getting cut 4-5 times a year ..............and will probably be out of the NFL in couple of years. Although, if he ever had a chance to make the most of his abilities it would be in New England.
  10. Clements is not a shutdown corner ( I am of the belief that there are really only a couple of shutdown cornerbacks left in football), but you will have to pay shutdown price for him as he is seemingly overrated. He is a good cornerback, and good cornerbacks are hard to find.....so it just comes down to how much the Bills are willing to pay for a good cornerback who thinks he is great.
  11. If you pay them, they will come. It could be argued that going into last season the most unattractive team for a free agent to sign with was New Orleans. Questionable stadium conditions, zero commitment from the owner on the long term future of the team in the city, and a complete losing culture....yet one of the premier free agents signed there ( Drew Brees). The Bills are just going to have to pay fair market price for every player they want......and they will have to be the highest bidder...because in case of a tie...Buffalo will probably lose out. Regardless, this current front office seems to believe in winning with a collection of decent to pretty goods as opposed to making an effort to get a few playmakers. One thing that will help Buffalo attract potential free agents is a strong finish. Final record aside.....if Buffalo finishes this season looking like a team on the come.....then that will help their image in free agency. Look at 2002. They finished 8-8...but they were a feasting ground for free agents.
  12. How about any cornerback in football that hasn't been beaten badly by Erik Parker, 36 year old Keenan McCardell, Deion Branch, or given up 200+ receiving yards to Chris Chambers in 1 game. You do realize to keep Nate as a Bill he will have to be the highest paid CB in the NFL. Yes, higher paid than Ty Law, Champ Bailey, Chris McAllister, DeAngelo Hall, and Ken Lucas.....all of which make at least 4-5 game changing plays a year. When is the last time Nate Clements made a game changing play( that was good for Buffalo anyway). Just because a guy was taken in the first round and knows how to dance when he makes his occasional INT doesn't make him a good CB. Again, it's not what he is rated in Madden. It's what he does on the field.
  13. Yeah, lets lock up Nate...so we have many more Randy Moss/ Nate Clements memories. Remember 2002 when Moss caught the acrobatic TD on Nate as a Viking that still makes NFL films highlight reels? How about 2005 when Moss came into the game on 1 leg and still managed to put a TD on our "playmaker". Yeah, lets lock him up A.S.A.P
  14. Completely understandable mistake. The past 6 seasons have all been one big blur to me. From Gregg Williams saying " we're not executing" to Kevin Gillbride.....Rob Johnson.......all of the drafts that have gone by with the Bills making " Bold moves"........to all of the free agents that have left town and been replaced by alsoruns.................Gregg Williams...Mike Mularkey...........Rob Johnson.....Drew Bledsoe......Does it really matter?
  15. I dont see how. D-tackle right now is one of our most glarring needs, and McCargo was finally starting to show something when he went down with an injury. You can't blame the Bills for picking a player who wound up on Injured reserve. Ont he bright spot...the Bills will have a first round pick returning next season at a position they desperately need. I agree though....we need to address the O-line in the offseason. My guess is, the Bills werent in love with Winston Justice who was very raw. This better be the last year of Mike Gandy as a starter. You can't penny pinch arguably the most vital position on your roster outside of Qb, like the Bills have been doing the past few years.
  16. Hey, so at least we're living up to expectations.
  17. Too close to call. Once they ruled it an incomplete pass on the field, it wasn going to be overturned. You shouldn't need a referee to overturn a call to beat an 0-5 Lions team.
  18. Thank god people are finally seeing this. All of this talk out of the Bills that they were happy with the play of Mike Gandy was a complete joke. My question is....at what point do you start leaving Robert Royal ( our " blocking specialist") in to help Gandy with James Hall? Perhaps after sack #2? At least after sack #3? I thought one of the strengths of Dick Jauron was his ability to adjust on gameday. I dont care if the film you studied showed James Hall as a guy that Mike Gandy could isolate on. On the field, James Hall is eating him alive. Leave someone in to help Gandy out.
  19. Im starting to think that the only elite player on this defense is Fletcher. Crowell Schobel, and McGee are very good....Whitner, Simpson, and Williams are too young to judge, and Triplett and Clements are drastically overpaid for guys who never get their names called on Sundays.
  20. The scary part is...Miami gets Green Bay next week, while we have New England. After everything.......we will most likely have the same record as Miami after next Sunday. That's awesome.
  21. The only thing elite about Nate Clements is his rating in Madden. Other than that, he is just another guy playing a position the experts still dont know how to rate.
  22. Also, for what it's worth....if Clements is in a Bills jersey next week...you can write it down now.....Doug Fn Gabriel will score a TD on him.
  23. For the last time...Nate Clements is not an elite CB in this league, despite what his rating is in your madden video game. When is the last time he made a game changing play? GAME CHANGING? I know...2004 against Tommy Maddox and the 2nd string Pittsburgh Steelers week 17. Everytime I hear some " expert" ( Adam Schein is the worst) call Nate Clements an elite NFL Cb....it makes me sick. He obviously never watches the Bills . Clements is just a guy. He is a very ATHLETIC player...but his football instincts still leave a lot to be desired. Anytime you want a big play...just put a pump fake/ double move on #22....and the Interception Happy " playmaker" will surely bite...leaving your WR wide open down the sideline. Clements has struggled now in Jerry Gray's Man cover system....and Dick Jauron's Cover 2 Scheme which is supposed to help CB's.
  24. Bingo. Believe it or not, this week is a playoff game. This game is arguably the most winable game left of the schedule. Beyond that, the difference between 3-3 and 2-4 is astronomical. If you are 2-4, the Patriots come into the Ralph in 2 weeks with a chance to put us 4 games out in the loss column. If you're 3-3...you have a chance to equal the Patriots total number of wins for the season with a win. Losing to the Lions would make this season a rebuilding year in October. Beating the Lions puts this team at .500....and everytime you hit .500 before Thanksgiving....it whipes the slate clean for you to make a run. If he is healthy, he needs to play this week. Without a win this week, the 2-4 Bills will be hard pressed to beat the Pats coming off of a bye. At 3-3...who knows.
  25. Im not buying this..." Shelton was hurt, so we couldn't use our short yardage package" garbage. Thats crazy. Why did you keep Ryan Neufeld is our backup FB. In a goalline set, you have 3 TE's a FB, and a RB. You move Neufeld back to FB, you bring in Preston or Pennington to play RT, and you slide Peters over to the TE spot directly to the right of the RT...and you still have Everett and Royal in there as blocking TE's. If they really have to abandon their short yardage package if Shelton gets hurt....then they should have kept Joe Burns or Alan Ricard around. That's ridiculous.
