  1. There's too much taking away from the game. Seriously.. Introductions.... commercial break National Anthem.... commercial break... coin toss... commercial break. 45 minute half-time show, commercials after every possession change and after every kickoff. It's just too hard to keep into the flow of the game.
  2. I don't. As soon as the game is over, they try to rope off the losing team and usher the stage on the field. It's not like a regular game where teams meet at midfield. They are trying to clear out the losers and guide the winners in the right direction, the whole time navigating through the biggest media population of any game of the season. It's not uncommon at all to not see handshakes at the end of a super bowl.
  3. This is the most hilarious/uncomfortable video I have seen in a long time.
  4. When i first heard that Russ Brandon was trying to talk to Mike Shanahan about the head coaching position, here was my reaction. Then they announced we hired Chan Gailey http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F10INRdCWtk
  5. Oh, I'll renew Sunday Ticket regardless. I love this sport and this league way too much not too. I'll just end up doing what I did this year....flip away from the Bills games.....and I can honestly see myself over the next year or so just losing all interest in the team.
  6. OK, so here is my life for the past 5 minutes. I see this guy predicts Chan Gailey is the new HC, according to what he is hearing. I laugh, roll my eyes and move on. Then, out of bordem, I decide to look at his previous posts. Much to my surprise, unlike the countless ying-yangs who said they had a source tell them Cowher was ready to sign or Shanahan was a lock, this guy has been nothing but spot on in his predictions. The best I can guess, he has a source close to Bobby April...and Bobby April and Chan Gailey go back to the mid-90's together in Pittsburgh. So, what I'm saying is...as much as I would hate the idea that Gailey would even be considered , the ONE guy who actually looks like he might have a clue is telling us he is. I think I just threw up in my mouth.

  8. Good point. Although, it doesn't do a lot for the Bills "Frazer is the leader in the clubhouse" story when reports come out that they offered the job to Harbaugh.
  9. lol good point. Truthfully though, he would make a nice addition as an O-line coach.
  10. Yeah, it's a movie quote, lighten up. I can't believe he wouldn't know a movie quote when he see's it. I do wonder though, how did you know his name was Francis?
  11. If the picture you've painted is as bleak as it is, and I don't think many of us would argue with you on that, why is Brian Schottenheimer or any other candidate more prepared than Leslie Frazier? We're not getting Cowher or Marty Ball, so the sooner you let that dream die and join the rest of us in reality, then you'll be back on the same page as us. Of the coordinators ready to be NFL head coaches, Frazier is considered by many NFL insiders to be the next big time candidate.
  12. I have a big problem with people comparing Frazier to Dick Jauron because he has a high football IQ and a relaxed personality. Let's seperate Dick Jauron the player motivator from Dick Jauron the game manager. As a player motivator, Dick Jauron had players constantly going to bat for him. Where Jauron failed as a football coach was his ultra-conservative, simplified, predictable ...play not to lose gameplans and his complete head scratching clock management and strategical decisions. Does Leslie Frazier's personality make him more apt to throwing the ball with a 4th quarter lead with 2 minutes to go in the Meadowlands, or running a defensive play that allows the Cowboys to get out of bounds on a 10-yard out when the entire stadium knows that's their only chance of winning the game? To me, hiring a head coach is like running the NFL draft. Do you draft for need or by best available. By all accounts, Leslie Frazier has been one of the top coordinators in the NFL to be an NFL head coach for a while, and might be the next great one. So, should we choose him, or a coordinator with an offensive background, because our offense stinks? Frazier is said to have great connections around the league and has the ability to put together a top staff, so does it really matter if we have an offensive minded head coach if we get a proven offensive mind like Al Saunders to come in and run our offense?
  13. Yes, it makes complete sense. THe Browns, who are admittedly in a rebuilding phase, are going to trade on of their best trade pieces and a draft pick for a 35-year old WR who is in the last year of his contract. If T.O gets traded, which he won't, it would only make sense to be to a team who is a top WR away from being a big time contender. The Bears and Ravens are the only two teams that make sense. And any dream Bills fans have of getting a 1st or 2nd round pick for T.O, let those go now. You'll be lucky to get a 4th for him.
  14. whoever I have financial interest in that week. Honestly, I have been betting on the Patriots a lot this season ( teasing points) and they have yet to let me down....so I feel pretty good about them right now. Until the Bills are relevant again, I'm going to watch and enjoy the NFL...not force myself to stomach this pitiful product.
  15. No, here's why. A good team, doesn't lose to an 0-3 team missing their starting QB and best defensive player. The reason WHY this game could be tough is because it's VERY debatable if the Bills are a good team or not. We're into year 4 of the Jauron experiment. We started drafting "Jauron guys" in 2006, and started signing "Jauron guys" in 2006.....so he has had 3+ offseasons to build this team. If they lose to Miami...which A LOT of us can see happening, it's not that they "lost a game they should have won"...it's more of...." they have gone nowhere in 3+ years under the same coach".
  16. I think the only two Bills who didnt practice today were Kelsay and Poz
  17. Per WGR postgame
  18. When Kevin Jones went down with an injury, the Bears immediately became a player in the backup RB market. With the limited number of backup RB options in Free agency, I think the Bills ( and maybe they did, we'll never know) could have attempted to get some sort of compensation for Rhodes, even if it was only a conditional 7th like they got from the Lions for Olandis Gary in 2003. By releasing him, I think there is a possibility that they try to get him back at a non-guaranteed rate. JW is right though. For a guy like Rhodes, being cut by a team like the Bills is a slap in the face enough. I bet if he has any other option, he will look into it. I really don't understand his appeal to being here anyway. You would think he would want to be in a committe situation where he could be productive, and get a better contract next year. But, in Buffalo, he will be lucky to get 7-10 touches the first three weeks, and will be a non-factor every week after that ML and FJ are both healthy. You would think a team like Jacksonville, Chicago, St. Louis or even Cincy would be interested in his services.
  19. A little surprised Bryan, at his salary, didn't get the roster spot of Denney or Kelsay. Oh well, apparently Kelsay has pictures on Jauron or something.
  20. Kelsay and Denney are the obvious ones. Florence, Walker and Parrish would all also not surprise me.
  21. They're not going to cut two players they have projected as starters. Ellison has been in sole possession of the first team reps at SLB
  22. I think it's pretty weak to be honest. If Chris Johnson is your best back, it tells me you had the 8th-12th pick, so you really should have come back in round 2 with a better pick than Calvin Johnson. Frank Gore, Andre Johnson, Larry Fitz? Any of them. Johnson is a freak, but he is all alone in detroit with a rookie QB. Looks like you fell in love with young players....like you were drafting for a madden franchise. Your RB depth is terrible. McFadden as your number 2, and Ray Rice, who might be the most overvalued RB in football as your number 3? Owen Daniels is a good TE, but he doesn't score enough to be elite. I don't see the identity of your team. You don't have a single fantasy superstar, and I'm not sure how that's possible.
  23. I probably would have picked Michael Oher. The idea of not having a decent option ( IMO) at left tackle would have scared me into reaching for Oher, who is very hit or miss. I would have also been confident with all of the DE’s still on the board ( Orakpo, Maybin, Ayers, English, Brown), that we probably would have been able to luck into one of them at 28. HOWEVER….once we got to 28…and Rey Mauluga was still available, I would have been VERY tempted to take him and either kick Poz outside, or put Rey outside. Obviously I should never be a GM, because I had no idea who Jairus Byrd was until I started watching his highlights after the Bills took him.
  24. I'm hoping the roster update has the Bills O-Line corrected. On the PS3 version, Wood is a LG, Butler is a guard and Chambers is the starting tackle. Nothing too severe, considering you can change all of their positions in the edit player mode. It would also be nice if Lankster was on the roster. I don't know about the rest of you, but generally I try to keep my beginning roster as close to the actual Bills as possible, but signing a tackle like Levi Jones is just too tempting. I haven't looked at his ratings in great detail, but Edwards seems to struggle with accuracy when you fire the ball in there. There were two passes yesterday where Reed was wide open on a crossing route, and I had to fire it before a LB jumped the route, and it went 5 feet over Reed's head.
