I thought for sure I was going to open it and it would say Tim Tebow. I don't think they'll take Clausen. I like Clausen, but I am an untrained eye. If Nix and Gailey don't like him, then I hope we don't. Because if they do take him, it might reak of Ralph Wilson pulling strings like he did on draft day with Lynch.

Some stuff from Rotoworld about the Bills
Deep2Moulds46 replied to Steely Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Say what you want about Maybin, but the guy is clearly putting in the time to get better. He was green coming out and we all knew that, but it's not like he's pulling a Marshawn Lynch or a Mike Williams and taking his money and going home. He clearly has a desire to succeed. If he fails, it won't be for lack of effort. -
Oh come on, why was the JW thread deleted?

John, you're out of your league here. The guy stood around and watched other people write at the Pittsburgh Trib Review. He's clearly qualified to criticize your ability. -
UPDATED: Tim Tebow, QB, Denver Broncos
Deep2Moulds46 replied to Kingfish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not sure why Jim Kelly's opinion matters so much to people. The two people Tim Tebow needs to impress are Buddy Nix and Chan Gailey. Peter King already said Nix loves Tebow, and Gailey comes from a spread background, and had success with Thigpen in KC in 2008 in a spread, 1-read then run offense. I think Tebow is probably higher on their list than a lot of us would like. -
I say we draft Spiller in round 1 and Tebow in round 2. If we're going to be bad, let's at least be entertaining

UPDATED: Tim Tebow, QB, Denver Broncos

I disagree with one point. I think QB needs to be high on the priority list and if the value meets the pick, needs to be taken in the first 2 rounds. I.E- Clausen at 9 or McCoy at 41 But in no way am I in favor of drafting such a project at 41. -
Let's make a deal for Jared Gaither

I think this draft is overrated at tackle. After Okung, who in my opinion is a notch below Jake Long and Joe Thomas anyway, I see a bunch of physical specimens with character or motivational flaws......or I see guys who have great work ethic, but lack the necessary ability to be dominant at the NFL level. -
The same woman in Denver who broke the news about Andra Davis signing in Buffalo apparently has a connection with the Eagles too, and says the Eagles don't think the Bills are offering enough. JosinaAnderson My Phil connex sy ur team nds 2 cme w/ something better. RT @sdcartman: @JosinaAnderson I want him in Buff. That's a great point, aside from the fact you're completely wrong. Jason Peters sacks came Week 2 v New Orleans (1) Week 7 v Washington ( 1) Week 8 v Giants ( 1) Week 14 v NYG (1) Week 16 v Den (1) Week 17 v Dal (1) So, three came in the first half of the season, 3 in the second half. He also decided to let McNabb eat turf in the playoff game for a total of 7 sacks. Do you enjoy being wrong, or does it just come naturally to you?
-
Including the playoff game, Jason Peters played in 17 games last season. In only 5 of those 17 games did he make it through a game without giving up a sack or commiting a penalty. And in only 2 of those 5 games where his stat sheet was "clean" did he play the entire game. So, yeah..he's elite alright. LOL
-
Well, I'm assuming you're a Bills fan. Did you think Peters earned his trip to the Pro Bowl when he gave up 12 sacks in 2008? And yes, their opinion means nothing. Randy Cross is only an NFL analyst for CBS and Sirius NFL Radio and a former 4-time Super Bowl winning o-lineman and Carl Banks is an analyst for Sirius radio and the Giants color man on the radio, and a former pro bowl LB. They obviously have no idea what they're talking about. I'll side with you, who probably bases all of your opinions on Jason Peters' Madden ratings.

Did you think the Saints were more than a QB away when they got Brees? Did you think the Falcons were more than a QB away when they got Ryan? The Dolphins were 1-15 the year before they signed Pennington. A significant upgrade at the most important position on the field can boost a team more than you're giving it credit for. If you trade for McNabb, and draft a LT..... You have 2 good RB's, a # 1 WR, a pro bowl QB....and a young, improving O-line. The Bills have been 7-9 and 6-10 with Garbage at QB. They might be a McNabb away from being relevant again. Nobody is thinking they're 1 player away from the Super Bowl....but most of us would make the trade if it meant we would see the playoffs again. And once you get in, you just NEVER know. Ask the Jets. Ask the Ravens from 2008. Giants from 2007 and Steelers from 2005

I was listening to Sirius Radio coming in to work today and they were talking about the Donovan McNabb trade situation. Randy Cross ( former NFL O-Lineman) and Carl Banks ( Former Giants LB) were saying that McNabb's O-Line last year couldn't play dead at times. Then Cross made a point to say that if you had to rely on Jason Peters to keep you off the ground, you might want to go ahead and lay down before the snap, because he was awfull. Carl Banks laughed and agreed. Thought this would be a nice FYI for those who are always saying that the Bills lost out on the Peters trade, and you don't trade a franchise left tackle in the prime of his career. Peters hasn't played well since 2007, and now that Philly has lined his pockets with franchise LT money, he may never play well again. Stop being obsessed with him being voted into the popularity bowl.

On Sirius radio with Tim Ryan and Pat Kirwan, Mike Lombardi was talking about destinations for McNabb, and said that Buffalo should have been pursuing him months ago. Trent Edwards is leading them nowhere, and unless they're banking on Clausen being there at 9, there have nothing on their team that can excite the fan base and lead the team. When they were talking about Clausen they said a lot of his stats came on crossing routes over the middle to Tate, and he doesn't show elite accuracy on downfield throws. Also questioned his leadership ability and commitment level. All 3 hosts agreed the Bills are in the best position to make a move on McNabb, but if McNabb doesn't want to come here, he can pull a Richard Seymour and refuse to sign a long term deal...and unlike the Raiders, no other team would trade premium draft picks for a 1-year player.

[closed]How can any Bills fan NOT want McNabb?

Similar playing styles? On McNabb's worst day, he is 50 times the player Tebow will ever be. -

The only way you want McNabb is if we add to our FB depth chart? -
I've heard it all the past few days. "We're in the rebuilding process, you don't rebuild with aging vets." WRONG KOOL-AID breath!!! We've been in the "rebuilding process for 10 years. You know who you don't rebuild with? You don't rebuild with J.P. Losman or Trent Edwards. You don't rebuild with Ryan Fitzpatrick. "McNabb may only have 2-3 good years left" oh wow, ONLY 2-3 good years? Well, that's not even worth it. Let's just continue to suck for the next 10 years taking chances on unworthy draft prospects. God forbid we actually experience success for a short period of time. "It might hurt Brian Brohm's development" WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? more like...."WHO?" Oh, I know, the guy who 4 years ago was considered a first round draft pick at QB until his gimmick system HC left and exposed him for the fundamental mess he truly is.....the guy who was overdrafted by Green Bay and then shown the door after a year because they didn't even think he was worth stashing and trading...yes...LET'S NOT GET A PROVEN PRO BOWL QB, BECAUSE IT MIGHT HURT BRIAN BROHM'S DEVELOPMENT. You know what hurt Brian Brohm's development? Losing out to a 7th round draft pick with a jello arm in Green Bay. If Brian Brohm ever wants to MATTER again in the NFL, he needs to do it on his own. A team should not hold off on better options because this former 2nd round pick turned practice squader MIGHT be good someday.

Yahoo Article also talks about McNabb & Bills

Kelly didn't want to come here at first. Luckily for us, our front office wasn't as sensitive as you. -
Why are we drafting a running back??????!!!!

Has the draft happened yet? Are you new to this whole " Don't believe anything anyone says about draft intentions" idea? Relax.
