With Drew there was false hope.
At least with this team, we know there is no shot.
Don't care how you rationalize it, or compare the fact that JP is worse, the way Bledsoe is playing with his experience level is pathetic.
I'll take JP all day, thanks.

Wow.
Anyone else see that interception at the goaline?

Well you sure seemed to bring me up here for no reason.
http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...ndpost&p=814300
That was a response to you and CoachChickQueerason.
He hopped on your bandwagon, and since I could only reply to one of you guys...

Again, not sure why you're getting upset with me. I have offered no opinion at all this year on JP. When I reply well certain Qb had these stats, but he sucks and Jp doesn't I ask for reasoning. You get upset. Why? Why so defensive? Again, I have posted no judgement of JP and his ability or lack there of this year since the season started.
wtf?
Nevermind VABills.
Where in the heck in that post you quoted, does it seem like I'm upset with you.
Also show me where I bring up JP please.
I'm not mad at anyone here, it's a freakin' internet message board.
I'm mad at the football team I root for, because they stink. It's about way more then one player, even though you'd never guess if you read some of the retards that post here. (not you this time VA)
-
...and I never said it was.
In fact, go back to last week where I post, FOR THE FIRST TIME, that I played QB in college.
I go on to say many here have forgotten more then I'll ever know. Also, that I never admitted I'd played up until that point, because of your type of response.

I have zero interest in Holcomb starting.
At this point, we need to see if JP will ever get it.
If JP isn't the QB, then Nall has to be.
As others have said, going with Holcomb is a step in the wrong direction.
I still have hope for JP, but the light is dimming.

Wow, let's have a pity party for you. booooooo.........
I'm a moron, you're a moron, we're all morons.
And so !@#$ing what that you were qb in HS and college. I think a lot of us did. Who cares? When you make it to the pros and can tell me the plays and each persons responsibility in a given system, we'll talk. Until then you don't know sh--. If you're so good how come you don't scout parttime for the Bills. You know that have volunteer film scout positions on almost every team. To help look at team film looking for tendancies and ticks that either the Bills players or upcoming opponents have. It's actually a good way if you like football to get a permanent scouting position with a team. I ahev known three folks who did it, one is now a permanent scout, getting pretty good bucks.
Until you break down NFL film from all angles and know the intentions of the play your guess is as good as mine.
...and I don't disagree with any of your points.
At least we both recognize that we're morons.

Internet tough guy tactics? lol.
I was a QB in hs and college, but don't know what the Bills run, so I can't fairly judge whether JP did good or bad, based on the gameplan. (to my ignorant eye, he needs to protect the ball better, and Evans need to catch a perfect td pass)
I am starting to have my doubts about JP, but he is down on my list of worries with this team.
VABills is a moron, who needs to stick to the PPP board.
As far as the internet tough guy routine, I'm not tough at all. I would also call clueless VA a moron to his face, along with yourself if we ever have the pleasure of meeting.
PM me if interested.
(oh nevermind chuck, you are the tard that talked trash about me before, and when I pm'd ya to have the balls to do it to my face, you didn't respond)
-
Leinart barely completed a third of his passes.
Not similar at all.
We won't even bring up quality of opposition.
VA, you need to get a clue. Ever think people get defensive, because you're a moron?
-
12 of 31 194 yds and 2 int. (could be more)
This is what happens when you draft a QB high, and have no oline to protect him.
Leinart is now 0-3, for those keeping score at home. (and are dumb enough to blame a QB for a losing record)
Matt will be fine, this was his first road game.

I think Run the Damn Ball put Losmans' performance against the Lions in the best perspecitve of anyone, in another thread. I am adlibing here:
Losman was bad at times, but he was the only reason the Bills still had a chance to win the game in the last 7 minutes.
Isn't that what most kinda thought we would get out of JP Losman, last year? Last season was a wash for him. Why so angry about it now? JP has some learning to do, to be sure, but he has improved some facets of his game. I fear that we won't give him the time he needs (almost any QB needs) to develop.
Marv will give him the time.
Luckily he isn't as impatient as some fans.

JP does that at times, but that doesn't make a QB great. (TD to Roscoe today comes to mind)
Flutie did that all the time, and was far from great.
There are tons of ways for QB's to be considered great. Some great QB's didn't have the ability to make the plays you speak of, but excel in other areas.
There is no concrete formula to be considered a great QB, other then to be a big reason for your team winning games.
Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are great QB's, but with totally different skill sets.
I don't think JP will ever be considered great, but he has the physical tools to be pretty darn good, if his mental talent ever catches up with his physical ability.
I guarentee you, most QB's (even the great ones) would give their left nut to have JP's physical attributes.
-
I didn't have a great sense of "feeling" the rush if it came in quick, I relied on that internal clock, that said get rid of the ball. I've always felt that only the great QB's have that "sense", and I was far from great. In fact I think average would about sum up my career. (and I'm biased, haha)
I don't envy JP at all, I usually had way more time to pass, and never got the decent results he has gotten.
That is why I'm so quick to protect him, I can't imagine getting hit after just hitting my 5th step in the drop. (when I was blindsided that quickly, I did tend to fumble)
Sure, poor pocket awareness and indecision will take away from your oline's performance, but there are a lot of cases where poor pass protection are the problem, and not JP's indecision. (believe me though, he is guilty a bunch of indecision, I think his pocket awareness is better then Drew's though)
I'm not down on JP for his lack of awareness, as much as I am on his inability to complete the deep pass, when his line gives him adequate protection.
I'm hoping with time he'll get it, but he needs to keep showing improvement. I was very disappointed with that sack right before the half, that was on him big time, and he still makes too many of them mistakes.

I played QB on a D3 college team, and know for a fact that my pass protection had EVERYTHING to do with my performance.
I don't ever bring it up, for the simple fact that you get slammed for being arrogant.
I also don't agree that you have to play the game to know anything. There are plenty of people here who never played at the college level, who have forgotten more then I'll ever know.
