Probably the best quote you'll read from a Bill.
CoachChuckDickerson replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is NOT one persons fault. Is Travis Henry your brother? He has done more to help this team lose than Drew but nobody is crying about him. We are supposed to be a running team this year. Not a passing team. This whole offense is screwed. We are pinning our hopes on JP which means that we will not sniff the playoffs until 2006. So when JP comes in and goes through his rookie growing pains are you guys going to try and run him out of town too? Apparently the whole offense is QB using your logic. -
FROM AN EMAIL I RECEIVED THIS MORNING The war in Iraq may decide the 2004 presidential race. But, even at this late date, how well informed are voters? A new survey shows that, for many, the answer is: not very. The poll for the non-partisan Program on International Policy Attitudes (PIPA) reveals that a vast majority of President Bush's backers continue to believe, contrary to evidence, that Saddam Hussein had strong links to al-Qaeda and possessed WMDs or a major program for making them. Equally interesting, the new survey finds that if the Bush supporters knew (or accepted) the truth, some of them might feel quite differently about the war. Asked whether we should have gone to war if Iraq was not making WMD or providing strong support to al-Qaeda, 58% of Bush supporters said no. The poll was conducted in September and October, with three samples of 968, 798, and 959 respondents. Margins of error were 3.2 to 4%. PIPA is affiliated with the Center on Policy Attitudes and the Center for International and Security Studies at the University of Maryland. Here are the details: * On WMDs: Even after the final report of chief weapons inspector Charles Duelfer saying that Iraq did not have a significant WMD program, 72% of Bush supporters continue to believe that Iraq had actual WMD or a major program for developing them. And 57% also believe, incorrectly, that Duelfer concluded Iraq had a major WMD program. Kerry supporters hold opposite beliefs on all these points. * On the al-Qaeda link: 75% of Bush supporters continue to believe that Iraq was providing substantial support to al-Qaeda, and 63% believe that clear evidence of this support has actually been found. Plus, 55% believe, again incorrectly, that this was the conclusion of the 9/11 Commission. One in five believe Iraq was directly involved with the 9/11 attacks. Large majorities of Kerry supporters have exactly opposite perceptions. "One of the reasons that Bush supporters have these beliefs," Steven Kull, director of PIPA, asserts in a report, "is that they perceive the Bush administration confirming them. Interestingly, this is one point on which Bush and Kerry supporters agree." Indeed, 82% of Bush supporters perceive the administration as saying that Iraq had WMD or a major WMD program. Likewise, 75% say that the Bush administration claims Iraq was providing substantial support to al-Qaeda. But what's the deeper explanation for all this? Kull seems to let the media off the hook and direct attention to the receiver rather than the messenger. "To support the president and to accept that he took the U.S. to war based on mistaken assumptions," he explains, "likely creates substantial cognitive dissonance, and leads Bush supporters to suppress awareness of unsettling information about prewar Iraq." If true, this is pretty much a full-court suppress. Just 31% of Bush supporters recognize that the majority of people in the world oppose the United States having gone to war with Iraq. Fifty-one percent incorrectly assume Bush favors U.S. participation in the Kyoto treaty. Fifty-three percent believe he supports the International Criminal Court, despite his attack on that body in the recent debates. "The roots of the Bush supporters' resistance to information," according to Kull, "very likely lie in the traumatic experience of 9/11 and equally in the near pitch-perfect leadership that President Bush showed in its immediate wake. "This appears to have created a powerful bond between Bush and his supporters, and an idealized image of the President that makes it difficult for his supporters to imagine that he could have made incorrect judgments before the war, that world public opinion could be critical of his policies or that the President could hold foreign policy positions that are at odds with his supporters."

Shane Matthews logic
CoachChuckDickerson replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Apparently you have been since the end of 2003. Let me fill you in. You missed the coaching change and the "smash mouth" running system we have been playing this year. This offense is on the backs of the running game. Why don't you try and cry about that. -

Where is the part saying it is all Drew's fault? Oh yeah, that is just the numbnuts here. -

A bad week against the Ravens D and here we go again. The haters had to hide in the wings for 6 weeks. How about this answer. The answer is a lot deeper than the QB postion. The OFFENSE stinks. Is Shane going to make guys catch the ball, remember thier plays and block on runs too? -
Was it Bledsoe's fault that there were
CoachChuckDickerson replied to hamtenp's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You said it yourself. We have a brutal offense. Where was Henry yesterday? Where was Evans? Where was our TE? WE PLAYED THE RAVENS DEFENSE. They make QBs look bad. Why is this such a shocker? You and your WGR buddies had to wait 6 weeks to roll this crap out this year. Must have been driving you nuts. I can understand your anger. -

School district cancels Halloween...
CoachChuckDickerson replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Most school districts do not allow the kids to dress up for school. Like the article stated they usually have a "Fall Festival". My local disrict just had one this past Friday night. Had a great turnout and raised some much need funds for the elementary school. I think it is great that Washington is finally getting with the times. -
Please somebody console our D as once again they

Has any defense this year had a tough time handling the mighty Ravens offense? They were also minus the only weapon they had in Jamal Lewis. -
(OT) Boston Looking At Liquor Ban

You would invite me to tell her what? That people will fight stronger for their right to drink during a sporting event then they will for their privacy rights? It is an observation which I did not support or condemn. -

Some of you guys should go over to the PPP board. People die and they take away rights and abuse the Patriot Act and nobody bats an eyelash. An innocent person dies and they want to ban beer at the stadium to control the crowd and people crawl out of their holes screaming. Interesting. -
If it was a change of ownership, and it is a non-union position, she has no leg to stand on.

What is everyones opinion on Rice/Largent flap

I like how everyone speaks for Steve Largent. Did anybody take into account that he might not give a crap if Jerry Rice wears #80? -

Wow. I like the fact that you support the Bills but lets not be a homer when it comes to FF. The choices are clear. NO BILLS. Moore and Colbert. -
Guess who's tied with Bledsoe as sack leader
CoachChuckDickerson replied to NanaAnna's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is counted as a sack 15 yards downfield if they ice the puck first.....you can't be serious. -

Have we lost our marbles???
CoachChuckDickerson replied to DeeRay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We are a 1-4 team who could just as easily been 4-1. The Bills are not that bad a team. What we saw yesterday was team team that FINISHED in the 4th quarter thanks to Willis and the line. What we saw in at least 2 of the 4 losses was Henry falling on his ass when the chips were down. Go crap on somebody elses day. We are just fine thanks.
