Best coaching staff since Knox era
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to jahbonas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
can we wait a full season before doing this stuff I remember a lot of people praising the gregg williams staff as well as mularkeys -

I thought it was pretty common knowledge. Pennington is captain dink n dunk. Smart and accurate with the arm strength of a 12 year old school girl.

Can I Start The 'Official' Game Thread?

Hopefully we can get some sort of passing game in the 2nd half, but good job by crowell to preserve the lead at the end of the half -

Not a fan of the playcalling at the end of that drive, but 3 points is still better then none. -
Id prefer de quentin moses over any of these ot's. Not that I think gandy is a great lt, but I think he's a better tackle then kelsay or denney is a starting de.

Ellison A Linebacker AT 228 Pounds?
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to true_blue_bill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was impressed with Ellison from the preseason on. He flys to the football, is a good tackler and just needs to gain weight and experience and I can honestly see him being our version of Lance Briggs. -
What a horrible and cruel act, that there is no excuse for. No possible justification. It's completly vile. I didnt know him personally, only from his posts. Nor was I aware of his family situation, and while words mean relatively little in the greater scope of things, Id just like to send out my deepest condolences to his children, and his wifes family for their losses. I cant even begin to imagine what they're going thru, but I hope time eventually helps to start to heal these wounds.

Alright boys : who will it be next week??
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to daquixers_is_back's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I voted Clements but I gave serious consideration to fletcher, just because I didnt expect TKO to ever be a whipping boy for the retard rodeo. Clements already has that red dot on his chest and there will be those waiting to pull the trigger as soon as he gives up a completion to chambers. -
Sounds like Spikes is pissed!

You Forgot Nate Clements, and with all these people gone Im sure the wrath of furry will turn on London Fletcher so eh what the hell get rid of them all -

Ive pretty much made it known I think Tiki Barber is the best rb in the nfl, however before the past 2 seasons he had an extreme penchant for fumbling so much so giants fans hated the guy and wanted to give ron dayne a chance to take tikis place. Rb's like LT for instance as much hype as he got has 2 seasons with sub 4ypc and also had early struggles holding onto the football. Alexander was never known as a great short yardage back as dibs pointed out. I dont think warrick dunn is on or near the level of some of these guys. It's also really not hard to put a finger on what Priest Holmes did. Unless its hard running behind the likes of Willie Roaf/Brian Waters/Casey Weigham/Will Shields/John Tait. Not that Holmes wasnt a good back, but when you have that good of an offensive line coupled with a qb who had seasons of 4000+ yards passing you're going to get rushing yards. Now I'm not gonna say Willis is on the level of a Tiki barber or LJ, but hes definitly in that 8-15 range which is more then ok by me. I'll take a Curtis Martin Esque consecutive 1000 yard seasons without huge rushes, any year. In order to put up rushing stats you need more then just good speed, and being able to hit a hole. You need to have patience, know your blockers in front of you and know the schemes used for blocking. Be aware of cutback lanes and have good vision to be aware of defenders looking to clog lanes. I dont care what kind of hole you hit. If you cant stretch the defense forcing them to keep the safeties off the los. You will more often then not fail when trying to establish a run game, without the threat of a passing game. Oh little factoid: Ladannian Tomlinson has 14+ runs of 20+ yards in the last 2 seasons and so does Willis Mcgahee -
TO: Negative nancy
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to NorthWesternBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont agree with either of these. The Eagles are probably a little better then I expected them to be, but I still expect the giants to win the nfc east. Why do you think the ravens suck? They have a very good defense, Mcnair is a huge upgrade from boller. Jamal Lewis looked good against a good bucs defense. The AFC North is going to be a real dogfight imo. -
And with the first pick, the Raiders take....
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to CJPearl2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I still say the titans are worse then the raiders, but the raiders are pretty horrible -
that was good

Forgive me if this has been discussed
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Slippery Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
that is pretty dumb but hes not the sole reason we lost. That was in the 3rd quater. Last time I checked we were still up 10 at the time, it was a combination of the defense folding the tent, and nothing going on offense that includes losman. I wont sit here and blame the refs or coaches. Good Teams Overcame mistakes bad teams dont -

Bills lose 17-19!
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Oneonta Buffalo Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Atrain has looked pretty good. We actually might have a good depth at rb. Can't complain much about this game so far. Hopefully they keep it up while improving on the run d -
thank you I've been trying to figure out wtf IIRC meant YA RLY
-
meh what slowed cowart was his knee injuries. No doubt achillies injuries are tough to get back but I believe Spikes will
-
No and no. Chad Brown is old and far to slow. As much as I liked Cowart back in the day he's also far to slow for this defense

Some Interesting Cuts Already
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to BillsGuyInMalta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I remember reading that if rogers did get cut the team that picked him up would be on the hook for 1 year 750k. The reward in this case seriously outweighs the risk, and the reward that he might be able to stay healthy. Rogers/Evans. Just for that alone I'd pursure it, worst case it doesnt work out no harm no foul. We really have nothing to lose there. -
Jets traded Bollinger to the Vikes
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to nodnarb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was hoping we'd go after bollinger or ryan fitzpatrick. Bollinger for the reasons you stated basically a poor mans jp losman, or fitzpatrick because he's familar with fairchild and would make an easy transition into the offense. -
Cheers to Alex Van Pelt!
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Orton's Arm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I knew someone would go there. The only rb coaching experience fairchild has is with the bills. The majority of his backround is quaterback coaching http://www.buffalobills.com/team/coach.jsp?coach_id=21 I believe they all deserve some credit if and when JP proves it when the bullets are flying for real, but so far job well done. Next time be more informed about the guy you're posting about before jumping to conclusions.
