  1. I wouldnt say he gets blown off the ball. I've noticed though he has a maddening habit paticularly on end arounds and reverses to bite and not stay home. I don't think he's as bad against the run as people make it out to be, but by no means great against it.
  2. I wouldn't say he's great/average or a fraud so I can't vote. I'd say he's an above average player who will consistentely be criticized because every good defensive end we have now and in the future will constantly be compared to bruce. The same goes for qb's being compared to kelly, and rb's being compared to thurman. Schobel is the only bills player other then Bruce to have 3 double digit sack seasons. He's an above average end who seems to be getting better. That's all I can really ask for. I think the bills could stand to upgrade LDE, but schobel is a very solid player.
  3. Evilly skulking around the Neighborhood Robert died while muttering death threats to anyone who would listen. Robert will be terribly missed by the shaddy guy who runs the toll booth. good stuff
  4. Cb- Nate Clements Lb- London Fletcher- Baker (Lance Briggs would be a pipe dream so I'll stick with Fletcher- Baker) Te- Eric Johnson everything else build thru the draft.
  5. Yeah Im wondering the same thing as northwesternbill. Chris Henry is a bengals wr. Travis the titans rb
  6. The Run where he jumped over a diving aneas williams along the sideline stayed in bounds for a td only to have it called back in the rams game? If that's the run you're refering to that run was sick.
  7. Friggen Amazing. Congrats to Hester on the new nfl kick return td record. Hester WOW
  8. Melvin Fowler. Honestly I thought he'd be another trey teague. While he's not great. I think he's been more then adequate at the position, making it less of a need. We could still use a new set of guards though. More so rg then lg. Roscoe Parrish- No offense to terrence mcgee but am I the only one who wouldnt mind seeing roscoe also return kicks? I remember reading awhile back that Mcgee put on weight in order to be more physical at corner, which I think in turn has hurt his speed on kick returns. Not that he's took some huge nose dive, but I just think Parrish would be a better return man and Mcgee could worry about improving at corner. Roscoe I think also has the potential to improve as a wr. Quickly turning into one of my more favorite players. Aaron Schobel- I was never a big fan of this guy. One of my biggest gripes is that even though he racks up sacks which is nice he just wasn't consistent in getting pressure as he was a one trick pony who would simply be ran out of the play. This year especialy as of late I've noticed he seems to get more consistent pressure. My only gripe is we've been getting burnt on reverses and end around. I know the basis of the tampa 2 is to always attack the ball, but damn stay home aaron stay home. Otherwise I think he's improved a lot. Robert Royal/Kevin Everett- More so Kevin Everett as I had pretty high hopes for him to be a good receiving threat at the position. Royal and Cieslak seem to be coming on as of late, but I would still love to get a real threat at the position more so then a #2 receiver. Nate Clements- I've always been a Clements fan and have maintained thru the past few years that he was worth throwing money at to keep. His play the past few weeks has been nothing short of magnificent, and he's laying some pretty damn good hits as well. With the cap room we have theres no excuse not to re-sign the Playmaker. Willis Mcgahee- Yeah I've been dissapointed. Not cause I think he lacks "heart" or whatever imaginary term you can think of, but simply because I expected him to be a bigger part of the offense. Yeah he's hindered by injuries the past few weeks, and he seems to rediscovered his nose for the endzone, so I'm still holding out hope, but I wouldn't mind seeing a good compliment type rb brought in.
  9. Hey Phil kudos to you to show up and take the loss like a man. I must admit being that I only live 15 minutes from giant stadium I'm feeling pretty damn good right now. It's been awhile since the bills dominated a game, so I shall enjoy it. With that said the jets are doing a real solid job of rebuilding their team. I dont necessarily agree with a lot of jets fans that pennington is done as a starter after this year. Yeah he's limited in what he can do. He'll never be a guy that can stretch a field vertically or lead a fast paced passing game, but he's smart and effiecent. With a true stud rb in next years draft, and working to improve the run defense. With the players the jets currently have maybe a switch back to the 4-3 would shorten the learning curve. The Jets are definitely headed in the right direction. Good luck to your team the rest of the season.
  10. Just a question what made you think Vilma would be good in a 3-4 scheme? Vilma is 6'1 230lb's and is made to be a sideline to sideline backer. He's not gonna be very effective as a ilb when he has to engage with guards in a 3-4 scheme. Ray Lewis looked like he was going downhill when the ravens switched to a 3-4. Not that Vilma is on the level of a Ray Lewis, but you would think you could tailor the defense to the centerpiece. Vilma is a great talent but completly useless in a scheme that negates his greatest strength.
  11. Yes to the first point. Yeah Brees is playing great but Phillip Rivers is by no means playing like a scrub. He's more then holding his own. It was also made easier that Brees tore up his shoulder last year and the chargers probably felt that with the injury they couldn't justify signing him long term.
  12. Drew Brees was the best fa pickup of the year. Hes got a strong enough but not rocket arm and hes accurate and doing it with a bunch of no names. Hes a fun qb to watch, but you think with all that money he's making he could do something about that hideous mole
  13. yeah pretty much either him or rod coleman. I also dont see dt as a primary need this offseason. As far as the defense goes lb is a much bigger need. Who knows how good crowell can come back, spikes is still a question mark, fletcher is a ufa.
  14. Most definitely. I mean the guy has turned Mike F'n Karney into a td machine
  15. Mangold is probably going to be a great center, but being that I was very high on McCargo pre draft I'm more then willing to wait to see how he does next season. It's still far too early to label this as a mistake.
  16. He said he'd be around by about 8:30 clock a tickin http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=56260&st=60
