What's done is done but to beat a dead horse one more time. Henry was flat out awful in 2004 willis wasn't and showed a lot of promise. After Willis's 1st 100 yard game that season against the dolphins henry was actualy handed back the starting job for the ravens game that year. He was benched in the 2nd half and Willis took over for the rest of the season. Henry had a chance to put up and stake claim to the job or fold. He folded. People forget just how bad henry was in 2004. He whined and packed it in and deserved to go. I'm happy for him. He had a good season last year and seemed to revive his career, but he was downright awful his final games as a starter for the bills. While Willis showed a lot of promise. I'm as annoyed as anyone it didn't work out. All I hope now is the line is improved and the next rb doesn't have to run behind the same sh------- oline travis or willis did.

The Peterson Possibility is Pesturing Me...
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Have you ever seen calvin johnson play? Think Randy Moss Speed, with TO's ability for going over the middle and willingness to make tough catches with the class of Marvin Harrison. Calvin Johnson may just be the best wr to come out of the draft in years. With that said I agree with Coach. Adrian Peterson if he can stay healthy will be an absolute beast and worth getting, despite it trading up for him is without a doubt the best rb in this draft. I don't know how lynch got so many votes in the poll asking who people would rather have. I don't even see that as a fair competition to be honest. Peterson is bigger, faster, quicker, and a much better pure runner. If he passes the browns I'd trade up for him in a second without any thoughts about it. -
Well I guess you're gonna have to wait a long while from kffl hotwire NFL | Ginn will not work out at his Pro Day Fri, 9 Mar 2007 19:36:48 -0800 Mark Craig, of the Star Tribune, reports Ohio State WR Ted Ginn Jr. will not work out at his Pro Day Saturday, March 10.

yeah he is. He was their kick returner in 2005. I think he lost that job to cromartie this year.

Least favorite Bill of all time
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Mile High's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Least fav- Antowain Smith Most fav- Thurman Thomas. My current most favorite was Nate Clements with him gone though I'd say Ko Simpson and Evans for current. -
exactaly I always came away with the impression after watching OSU that gonzalez was a more complete wr. Yeah ginn can fly with some scary speed. His route running isn't all that good. He's a devin hester type player only with an actual position and someone will draft him higher then he should go for his speed alone.

1. Adrian Peterson 2. Michael Bush 3. everyone else My order of prefrence. If Bush didn't get injured this past year I see no way Lynch is ranked ahead of him. AP is the best rb in college football and I honestly believe will turn into a top 5 back in the nfl. Color me unimpressed about Lynch.

I have to ask this MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION!
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to mellaman101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh I agree. I was thinking more from the perspective of Average Joe Blow casual fan will see fletcher nate and willis are gone and go "wow they got rid of these big names" and not bother shelling out money for tickets. Winning cures all though and that's A OK by me -
I have to ask this MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION!
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to mellaman101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm sorry but this actualy a fairly good question. How does a team devoid of any star quality players outside of save Lee Evans market itself to the casual football fan who make up the majority of people who buy tickets? Yeah you'll have the die hards and football observers who realize they're heading in a positive direction and improving or at least trying to improve the offensive line. Outside of that though where is the marketability? -

MartyBall4Buffalo replied to bernie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nothing Earth shattering. Liked Willis. A lot of factors went into it. Best they could get. Interesting sidebar though Mike Florio from Profootballtalk.com is gonna be on point after on NFLN. PFT has sure come a long way -
MICHAEL TURNER IS THE ANSWER AT RB
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Welcome To Pegulavilla's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Id give no more then a 3rd and 6th for turner and a conditional 3rd that could become a 2nd if he meets certain goals, but to give up a 1st and 3rd for a guy who's been backing up the best rb in the league and who's carreer high in carries in a season is 80 is asking far too much. Maybe he is what people say he is, I just wouldn't want to bet the farm on it. -
agreed. Droughns would've been a much better option then the likes of rhodes or chris brown the giants got themselves a nice 1/2 duo with droughns and jacobs.

Adrain Peterson will be a beat of a runningback if he can stay healthy. I still prefer drafting Michael Bush 6'2 244lbs 4.5 40. That guy is gonna be a beast and much better then Marshawn Lynch imo

The Bill's Need Some Impact Players
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to JuanGuzman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1. Aaron Schobel 2. Lee Evans 3. Jason Peters One could argue that Derrick Dockery and Donte Whitner are knocking on the door. If J.P Losman continues with last years strong play you could include him and maybe a rejuvenated Takeo Spikes. Donte Whitner probably will develope into one. Potentially Angelo Crowell & Ko-Simpson. I thought about adding Terrence McGee but he seems ill suited in the cover 2. Agreed. Out of all potential impact players I like Ko Simpsons chances the best. I think he's going to be a beast at safety within the next year or two. Angelo Crowell I really like but he does have gaffes that make you pull your hair out. If he can be more consistent in some areas of his game such as taking approrpriate angles and wrap up tackles he'll be a force. I'm not a terrence mcgee fan outside of his kr ability. I think he's a relatively weak cb better in man then he is in zone. Would make a fantastic nickel back. I just seem him as more of a liability as a starting corner. Patriots impact players: 1. Ty Warren 2. Richard Seymour 3. Vince Wilfork 4. Tom Brady 5. Asante Samuel 6. Logan Mankins 7. Adalius Thomas Potential Impact Players: Laurence Maroney, Benjamin Watson, Rosevelt Colvin, Dan Koppen, Ellis Hobbs and Matt Light (6). and Maybe 1 of their recievers developes as well. Potential impact player Ellis Hobbs?!?! Otherwise Mostly agreed. Ben Watson is a favorite of mine too bad he's on the pats. He has the potential to be a premiere te in the mold of gonzalez/gates. I'm not sold on Maroney. I think he runs relatively weak and is best suited in a 2 back system. I thought Marion Barber was better then him in college, and Dillon protected him a lot last year. They have a good oline and Tom Brady is Tom Brady. Adalius thomas was great for the ravens, hopefully age will catch up to him. They have safety issues. NY jets Impact Players: 1. L. Coles 2. Thomas Jones 3. Kerry Rhodes 4. Johnathan Vilma 5. Shaun Ellis 6. Nick Mangold Potential stars: D'brickshaw Ferguson, Justin Miller, Jericho Cotchery, Dewayne Robertson. Chad Pennington gets the job done. Id take Shaun Ellis/Vilma/Mangold off this list and add Pennington/Cotchery/Leon Washington. As it stands now Thomas Jones/Washington worry me far more then any rb on miami or ne. Thomas Jones is a bruising type runner and tremendous on blitz pickup. Decent receiver and a young 29 years old with not much wear on him for a rb. He's got a few solid year left. Washington gives them a great change of pace, good receiver out of the backfield and with Jones in the mix will only make him more effective. There's not a more Methodical qb in the league then Pennington, and while his stats won't jump out at you. He's a leader and he makes the jets a dangerous team. Dewayne Robertson is awful and pretty damn close to being a bust. As much as I like Vilma he's not cut out to be a 3-4 backer. Miami Dolphin's Impact players: 1. Jason Taylor 2. Joey Porter 3. Zach Thomas 4. Chris Chambers 5. Channing Crowder Potential: Vernon Carey, Ronnie Brown, Daunte Culpepper ( if he recovers), Marty Booker ( solid year last year maybe an abberation) Chris Chambers is the most overrated wr in the league. He has a great skill set. Size, Speed, leaping ability, route running. However for all his god given talent he just doesn't bring it. Yeah you could point to their qbs during his tenure there, but just watching the guy as many great catches as he makes he'll also drop just as many. According to a great website footballoutsiders.com. Chambers had 153 passes thrown his way and only caught 39% of those passes.Worst pct for any wr in the league of any receiver who caught a minimum of 50 passes. Only 1 1000 yard season. Hype doesn't match up the production. Non impact player. Channing Crowder really hasn't made much of an impact yeah he had over 100 tackles this year, but oustide of that he didnt cause any fumbles, get any sacks or any ints. Ranking him as an impact player is a bit much. Jason Taylor Undoubtedly. Joey Porter to me looked pretty slow this past season. What he does offer is a vocal leader and intensity. He could be a good signing for them but as a impact player his best days are behind him. Marty Booker has always been a fairly solid posession wr. Ronnie Brown heh and people called willis a dissapointment. If I was a dolphins fan I'd be extremely dissapointed about the production of Ronnie Brown especially considering he was drafted 2nd overall. Culpepper is done. I think i tried to fair in evaluating the divison and i could have missed some guys, or over rated some players. But it just seems to me the Roster lacks true studs who will have opposing coordinators altering their game plan. This years draft is crucial; the Bill's need to add some players who can have an impact right away and maybe a few more quality FA's in they expect to compete with the Patriots and Jets for the division title. We dont need more fa's to be honest. I'd rather not be a team like the giants or chiefs who stocks their starting roster with free agent vets in hopes of buying a championship. Offensive linemen great. Skill position players I'd prefer to grab primarily thru the draft using the 1st 3 rounds as guys you want as starters not for depth reasons, and build cohesion on the team by bringing in your own players, not other teams garbage. -

Marv and Jauron wouldn't have traded McGahee
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Phlegm Alley's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is the vogue thing to do, and is a model I would like to follow however a lot of those rb by committee teams have 1st rd picks at rb. I just dont think this is the year to get a rb in the 1st rd. The only one I feel is worth it is Peterson. As Far as Booker yeah I think he's getable in the 3rd. http://youtube.com/watch?v=pvPumoZFpl4 -

MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Phlegm Alley's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Short of trading up for adrian peterson, I'd like to see someone like lorenzo booker. Pretty comparable player to Brian Westbrook while re-signing anthony thomas would offer great diversity, and a short term solution as a nice 1/2 punch and draft a better work horse back next year. You can split booker out wide and use him to create mismatches. Wouldn't cost you the 1st rd pick of Marshawn Lynch either. Basicaly would allow the bills to concentrate primarily on defense in the draft. -

Yeah it was a bad choice of words on my part, but yeah I just dont see the guy as an everydown viable option at tailback I'm just gonna leave it at that. I apologize for previous comments -

I'd just rather not see a white guy at tailback. When was the last time that worked out? I like watching leonard play he was undoubtedly a great player for the scarlet knights, but I think he's in over his head at playing tailback in the pros, at least a fulltime tailback. I'd just rather go in another direction.
