  1. At a quarter to never
  2. I think he's a better prospect then Ted Ginn Jr. #1 #2 is all semantics. The guy will be a playmaker, as a return man, and contribute offensively. Yeah he won't ever win jump balls, or run many fade routes. If used right, he'll make an impact.
  3. Don't interject facts like this. Everyone knows a monkey with a clipboard would, automatically produce results. Just because he isn't Fairchild. Like a select few people, I really don't think the talent on this offense is "that bad". Just really misused. It would be nice, to use parrish, on some quick screens, slants, and hitches. Letting him use his elusiveness, to get yards after the catch. Let Reed work the slot, and the middle of the field to move the chains. As far as Evans goes, with all his speed, he isn't all that adept at getting yards after the catch, unless he has a db smoked. Let him do what he does best, working the deep outs, posts, and fly patterns. While picking up a receiving te to work the seems, and in the redzone. A Fred Davis, or Martellus Bennett. Who imho would have much more of a positive impact. Then any "#2" wr ever could.
  4. We're going for a Expect the worst philosophy this year. Better then those Kool Aid drinking winos
  5. The Bills organization will Rue the day they Cut Leon F'n Joe!!!
  6. I'm part of the "I don't expect this team to make the playoffs next season regardless of what wr they reach for at 11, cause they could get the same production for a 2nd or 3rd round wr this year" As well as the "This team is another 1-2 good drafts and 2-3 years away from really competing" alliance. Which is why I much prefer the drafting of defensive players right now. As well as a card carrying member of the "Chris Kelsay should see the bench, because he's really not starting material" alliance.
  7. What you and UB said is both spot on. It's why Simpson when watching him is rather impressive. I also feel that other then clements he was a huge reason in 06, why our pass defense was 7th in the league. Why I also believe the bills had the fewest 40+ yard pass receptions against them in the league that year. Quite an impressive feat, when you're starting 2 rookie safeties. As good as Simpsons closing burst is. He does have one minor problem. He did it in college too. Instead of making plays on the ball, he'll choose to go for the knockout hit. Which is why at times he'll lose ground on receivers, instead of playing the ball. There's nothing I appreciate more, then a safety who's willing to knock your block off. Simpson has to learn the fine line, between taking chances, and intimdating receivers. Clean up on his timing a little bit, and I really believe he'll be a hell of a player. I actually thought he was the more impressive safety between him and Whitner in 06. Not a knock on Donte. Just the small things I noticed.
  8. I cant see any ot's past Long going in the top 16 picks. The vikings should have their choice of Clady,Otah, Chris Williams.
  9. Eric King. lol I wonder what ever happened to that guy who called everyone parrots if they didnt like King, and Justin Geisinger. I think his name was LaDaris, or something like that
  10. I could feed 17 cannibals, and kick the backside of 28 snot nosed rugrats. I'd probably just offer the cannibals an exchange of the 28 5 year olds.
  11. Any wr at 11 i.e.- Limas Sweed, Malcolm Kelly, Devin Thomas, DeSean Jackson A defensive tackle at 11 i.e- pat simms, kentwan balmer (unless dorsey or ellis fall) Goes without saying I dont want them the draft a rb. Matt Ryan, or Brian Brohm. Kenny Phillips- Not that hes not a good player, cause he is. Another safety isn't what we need. OT- Jeff Otah or Ryan Clady OG- Branden Albert. That about covers it for me.
  12. No offense, but he sounds like the next Drew Haddad.
  13. As one of the few who wouldn't have a problem drafting Rivers. Rare is the lb, who comes into the pros who excells in the most underrated aspect of pass coverage. With the signing of Kawika Mitchell it's probably out the window though. If it were to happen though. It sure gives the Bills a lot of leverage, when Crowells contract is up I believe after this season?
  14. Fewell last year actually used a lot of 3 safety sets in pass defense. The problem being that the safeties we had out there Jim Leonard, George Wilson were ill equipped. There were times towards the end of the season where they used Scott up in run defense, and Whitner, and another safety in coverage. I think we'll be better off this year, when the safeties back in coverage are Whitner and Simpson, and not Leonard, or Wilson. The talk about letting Donte play more free safety, is hyperbole. Simpson should still see plenty of time. Barely any defense, strictly plays base defenses anymore.
  15. I think some people miss one minor detail in this issue. While Harvey may/may not be aprreciably better at dend then the best wr is. Harvey is a better de then anything that will come off the board after him, for damn near the rest of the draft. A lot like the difference between Dorsey/Ellis every other dt. The dropoff at dend after Harvey is pretty large. Filled with tweeners, and projects. Which might be fine for the people who disillusion themselves, into thinking we're anything above mediocre at defensive ends. Even that's a stretch to say. As far as the wr's go. From the best of the prospects to damn near the 4th rd. You can pretty much get comparable talent. From Limas Sweed/Malcolm Kelly to Adarius Bowman/Jordy Nelson. We're not talking about taking a Calvin Johnson over say Gaines Adams or Jamaal Anderson via last year. We're talking about the difference between, a legit fringe top 10 pass rusher, vs the need for "someone better then josh reed". 10 times out 10 you take the pass rusher in this scenairo. We took a #1 receiver in the top 15 in Lee Evans, passing up guys like Tommie Harris and Vince Wilfork in the process. Taking a wideout because he'd make a good #2, over a potential top tier pass rusher, just doesn't make good football sense.
  16. I dont see that happening but say the following 10 are gone in no particular order 1. gholston 2. chris long 3. dorsey 4. ellis 5. mcfadden 6. mike jenkins 7. matt ryan 8. jake long 9.harvey. 10. DRC If this were to happen I'd look for best available trade down. Assuming someone wanted to trade up, for a Keith Rivers, Kenny Phillips, Talib, or Johnathan Stewart, or Clady or someone like that. Then and only with Harvey gone, would I'd entertain the thought of a trade down. It would make taking a wr a little bit more realistic, and more in line with their correct value. As far as the wr I'd take with a trade down scenairo. I'd probably go with Devin Thomas. His yards after catch ability, and speed is intriguing. Believe me though after that I'd be hoping a Lawrence Jackson, Phillip Merling or Calais Campbell made it to the Bills in the 2nd. I have no problem taking a wr. I have a problem overdrafting, for a wr, when there will probably be a better player available, at one of the most important positions in the game. I just can't buy into. That a complimentary wr, is more important then a pass rusher. I don't understand that sort of logic.
  17. Easy decision for me. De- Derrick Harvey University of Florida.
  18. What a shame. Prayers go out to his family. God rest his soul
  19. Im not much of a a Dwayne Robertson fan. He hasn't lived up to his draft status. He's not quite the bust that say a Ryan Sims was for KC, and mixed in with the scheme change the jets went under from the cover 2 to the 3-4, probably didn't help. On occasion he's held his own. There's also a lot of times when he just gets completely driven off the ball. He plays rather high, and it's a nasty habit for him, cause when he shows good form, he can drive opposing centers and guards right into the backfield. I wouldn't trade a high pick, but if the jets wanted a 5th-6th rd pick for Robertson. It would be worth it. Pretty much setting our dt rotation.
  20. Gonna give a listen to it in a few. Thanks for posting. Don't mind the asshats that give ya sh--
  21. More reason to draft Derrick Harvey
  22. One would think without addressing it now, that next years problem will be the obvious of defensive line, by nothing other then default. Better to do it now, and let the d build cohesion, and get a later round wideout/te. Who odds are in this draft. Won't be much different then any wr the bills would otherwise overdraft in the 1st.
  23. In all fairness it was a pretty bad haircut
  24. DT isn't nearly as bad off, as we are at defensive end. Like I said in my post, we can get that 3rd-4th round player, to fill out the rotation. Horrible was a bit of an overstatement on my part. More like razor thin, and severly lacking, especially at defensive end. .I'm not convinced with our current ends that we'll have anything resmbling a good pass rush yet. All we would need, if one freak injury to Schobel, and we're talking about one of, if not the worst pass rush d in the league. I'm not all that fond of Kelsay. Ryan Denney to me is actually a better player. Denney is ideal in that Israel Idonije role, as the 4th de. A guy with some inital quickness, height, and good technique, who you can move inside on passing downs, and disrupt the pocket. I don't know what exactly Kelsay offers. That you couldn't get from just about every average dend prospect that comes out nearly every season. We're sort of stuck with him due to contract. Maybe he could play that Alex Brown role for us. Although not as talented as Alex Brown, can be a decent #3 type end, who can spell a starter during the rotation, to keep bodies fresh. I just don't get the appeal of having a chris kelsay on your roster. The guy isn't quick, isn't overly strong. Doesn't have a wide array of pass rush moves. Not that good against the run. His closing burst is lacking. He might have some value as a wave player. He just looks out of place as a starter. I actually thought our defense performed better, when Hargrove, was playing for an injured Kelsay. I'd rather see the bills do everything they could to address this area, then rely strictly on hope that somehow a mediocre end will play above and beyond his ability. All because we added a dt. Who the bills are hoping regains his form. I'm not seeing it.
  25. When Haggan was used in redzone packages I thought he played pretty well. Also a valuable st's player. Hopefully he gets re-signed.
