  1. lol I thought it was pretty humorous.
  2. Yeah seriously. It's not right to ever see another Bills player wearing #34.
  3. Robert Felton , Arkansas He’s a powerful run blocker, but he’s not all that athletic and needs help in pass-blocking. On the plus side, he has played all five line positions. That versatility will help him stick as a free agent. Project at C perhaps?
  4. I don't necessarily have a problem with drafting st's players. Although I feel in the recent past the bills have dedicated far too much to players who only profile as st's players, with zero upside. We'll see though.
  5. Well if Hardy made a consistent effort, to commit domestic abuse, and Ellis repeatedly went out and got arrested for disorderly conduct, I'd have serious reservations. Cincy makes taking guys of questionable character a theme. They unsurprisingly, get arrested for similar offenses repeatedly. Until it becomes a trend, they should get the benefit of the doubt. Although the Hardy incident worries me. Hopefully it was just a very poor lapse in judgement, that will never be repeated. It's a shame really. Chris Henry for instance had Randy Moss esque talent. It's fine to take chances on talent, but that shouldn't be the whole basis for your draft strategy.
  6. James Hardy beats up babies, and Chris Ellis had off the field incidents as well. So it's not that "cut and dry". He's a te who failed in another place. That seems to be right up Buffalo's alley of going after te's. Seeing how they're relying on Courtney "4 teams in one year" Anderson, and Teyo "I haven't been in the league in awhile" Johnson.
  7. Maybe UDFA OG Robert Felton, Arkansas that we signed can play some center. sh-- I figure if everyone has this Viti guy down, as some all star fb, why not the Arkansas guard moving to center. He did block for McFadden and Felix Jones.
  8. Most people probably wouldnt start over Randy McMichael. Byrd might be worth a shot.
  9. It seemed to positive, I figured someone had to balance out the verbal fellating that was taking place. Anyway I'll be pissing around the corner now. Cheers
  10. Probably, but no ones even seen him play. It's just a little silly. He might struggle vs Darian Barnes for all we know.
  11. Agreed man. Mostly so there's zero chance of ever seeing Jim Leonhard on the field for the bills again. Here's to blowing coverages, and being useless in Baltimore Jim. Go Get em champ
  12. Man can we at least get to training camp/preseason before you people fall in love with the udfa fb?
  13. Hard to say I mean Jake Reed did have Carter opposite him, but he was decent enough in his own right. They had a bit of a qb shuffle there. He finished second in 96 in receiving yards. Is second all time on the vikings with 12 plays of 50+ yards. On the colts he wouldn't had the luxury of playing opposite carter, and the colts weren't really a good team in the early 90's. Really hate to knock his talent though.
  14. I think he looked it up
  15. They should have a great shot at a wc based strictly on playing the NFC & AFC W. As far being a powerhouse team. They have some positions to upgrade as Adam alluded to a few posts ago. There's some potential for the bills to have a good team. Edwards needs seasoning, and a real te, and center, and the d needs a dominating pass rusher, if we're gonna take that next jump. As far as Jauron goes. I'm not a fan of blowing up coaching staffs again. It's a self defeating strategy, and why the bills are where they are. He doesn't have that upper echelon talent to compete with ne/indy/pitt/sd/jax yet. He does have a wc level team, who plays hard for him - games vs ne.
  16. I hope the bills prove me wrong. If they improve that much friggen fantastic. I just don't have that high of expectations. I think they'll be a solid group with some upside. Top 10 seems a little silly, considering theres still a lack of game changing talent in the front 7. They should definitely be improved vs the run, and get off the field on 3rd downs a bit more.
  17. Cause he's not a white farmer? I don't know either. We nabed a guy with pretty good upside, at a position of pretty important need. One of the better pass rushers still available at that point. What's not to like?
  18. You think pretty highly of the talent level of the bills. I disagree that this team is a pass to set up the run offense. There is no receiving option at te. As far as the run blocking goes. That's what happens, when you strictly can't pass the ball, and are consistently facing 9 in the box every week. The addition of James Hardy, should hopefully allow the bills oline to see the more traditional 7 men in the box. This offense strictly won't thrive as a pass to run offense. The talent level isn't there. What I mean by that is. There's only one wr on this roster currently who has the ability to be productive in yards after catch. Roscoe Parrish, lacks basic route running ability, and is actually a detriment, to his qb in this sense. If they used him more on screens, and quick hitches he can do some damage. This should be a balance offense, with a preference towards running the ball. Which is pretty much what I expect it to be. Top 10 defense? ughh they'll be lucky to be middle of the pack. The line talent, and playmaking lb ability isn't there. You're really asking a lot, of some improved corner depth, and the addition of 1 dt, who may not even be 100%. Are you relying on Chris Ellis, that much to improve the pass rush? Cause I'll be damned, if you really think Schobel + Kelsay/Denney give us anything above mediocre exterior rush ability. Maybe you're relying on McCargo's continued development. Ya know the guy who couldn't beat out Trips and Kyle Williams for a starting job last year. McCargo has natural talent, but he's highly inconsistent, and takes plays off. Are you banking on this unit as a whole to be some great tandem? What can you tell us about Spencer Johnson? Seen the vikings play a lot? Kyle Williams, in all likelihood is where he should be. As a 4th rotational dt. Good effort player, highly overmatched as a starter. The addition of Stroud even if hes at 75% of what he was, should be a massive improvement, over what we watched the past few seasons. Still one injury to this group, and we're just in a terrible situation. The Lb unit. Poz has a lot of work to do yet. Yeah he played well in limited action, still has a long way to go. Crowell has his ups and downs. He's better in coverage, then chasing plays down. He's learned to time his blizting better. He's not always the surest of tacklers, and has trouble shedding thru blocks. Good player hardly great. Mitchell? He played well last year for the gmen behind, one of, if not the best dline in football, when he was with KC he was pretty damn bad. He's not the fastest of guys. He's prone to whiffing tackles. I'll be watching him closely this year. The secondary should be improved. Greer should be moved to nickel corner, which will be perfect for him. He has the speed, and change of direction ability to match up with some of the best slot receivers in the game. Should be good to see him matched up against Welker, instead of Moss. I expect McKelvin and Mcgee this year to actually split kr duty, keeping Mcgee healthy throughout the season. The addition of James, and one of the rookies/youboty gives us really good depth at the corner position. Compared to last season, when it was just terrible. The safety depth worries me. It should be nice to have Ko Simpson back, to be one injury away, from starting George Wilson, Bryan Scott, or heaven help us, bringing back Jim Leonhard. The stuff nightmares are made of. Hopefully one of these corners we picked up, can play a little safety, and be a nickle and dime option. Overall I'm seeing the talent to improve on their miserable ranking from the last 2 years, and be an overall better unit. I don't see the talent of a top 10 defense. It's a good group who should make some plays, but we're an elite pass rusher, and dt depth away from really being a good defense. Maybe in the 09 season. This is a year too early imho. We should win 8-10 games based on the teams we're playing, and to call out Jauron is being blind to the level of talent currently on this team. High expectations, are never a bad thing, and maybe I'm just jaded, but I'll be happy, if all the bills do this year is not lay down like whimpering dogs, to the pats.
  19. And ironically that's the last time the bills had anything resembling a decent offense. I'm not looking for the next Winslow or Gates. Although that would be nice. Just a consistent option, who defenses are forced to respect as a receiving threat. Not Clowns, with cement shoes, or bad hands, who couldn't outrun molasses, or catch a cold. All good offenses, have at least an option at te. One day the bills will learn. It took them awhile to learn we needed to upgrade the oline. They're sorta learning, we used to be pretty good when we had a dline. Eventually they'll figure out the te position.
  20. Congrats to us nailing the first 6 picks move over Mayock 1 (1) Miami Dolphins - Jake Long OT Michigan (MattyT) 2 (2) St. Louis Rams - Chris Long DE Virginia (scribo) 3 (3) Atlanta Falcons - Matt Ryan QB Boston College (CJPearl2) 4 (4) Oakland Raiders - Darren McFadden RB Arkansas (bills_fan) 5 (5) Kansas City Chiefs - Glenn Dorsey DT LSU (HIGH MOTOR) 6 (6) New York Jets - Vernon Gholston DE Ohio St (PastaJoe)
  21. Lmao @ Laurinaitis over Maualuga Obviously the pick would be Taylor Mays. We need a dominating safety, with Ko Simpson not really living up to his hype, during the 08 season. Taylor Mays will remind people, of Sean Taylor. Forget the fact we could still use a dominating pass rusher like George Selvie, The bills seem content with their underachieving unit of High Motors + Chris Ellis.
  22. He's a 3rd round rookie with pretty good upside. If he plays his way into a starting role in a year or 2, and is productive he'll get paid. If he doesn't he won't. I wouldn't worry too much about that aspect. I hope his attitude stays the same. Too many hard hat "nice guys" on this defense. As long as he isn't out causing problems off the field, and shows up to play on game day. There shouldn't be an issue.
  23. OH sh--!! NOT A TOP RATED PASSER FOR THE PATRIOTS. Fear the Vaunted Double QB Offense!@!@
  24. What else can explain the large contingent the last 2 years of Brian Leonhard, Jordy Nelson, and Owen Schmitt fans
