  1. Yup and for the most part they do it without, what one would consider all star players. Most people probably couldn't even name the de opposite trent cole, or their lb core without looking it up. Yet the eagles defense is consistently among the tops in the league.
  2. My top 5 choices would be 1. Marty 2. Steve Spagnuolo 3. Jim Johnson 4. Dick Lebeau 5. Brian Billick Not necessarily in that order
  3. In a second. I love watching Jim Johnson defenses. Fast, aggressive, and plays responsibilites well. Just a look at former pupils Steve Spagnuolo and John Harbaugh, tells me all I need to know. No defensive coordinator over the years has a more consistent bunch then Jim Johnson with the exception of Dick Lebeau and Monte Kiffin. I'd take Spags just as well, but Johnson is on the list of guys I would like to see replace Jauron
  4. That would be how the world ended. Fire and brimstone, and crappy music playing on galactic speakers
  5. Id rather have the show off jerk who coaches winning football and knows to build a football team. Then The loveable loser, who's a fantastic human being, but gets outcoached on a consisent basis
  6. lol what's there to decide? 0-6 in the AFC EAST 2-8 in the last 10 games. Epic coaching failures along the way. Poor game time situational awareness. If Jauron isn't fired it's just another case of an old man who's out of touch with what it takes to win in the NFL
  7. Crowell is a quality starter. The one issue I have is his inability to stay healthy. He's basically been hurt just about every year since he's been starting for the Bills. When healthy he's a decent lb, although he has some coverage issues. However he's a better lb then poz or mitchell. I'd take him back, and concentrate on adding starters/depth all across the dline.
  8. This team is never going anywhere until we can beat Our daddies the NE Patriots
  9. I'm hoping for an AFC C of Balt/Pitt and an NFC C of Philly/Carolina. I'm hoping to see a Philly/Pitt superbowl. 2 great defenses going at it in the bowl. I'd like to see McNabb win one for all the sh-- he's put up with From the philly fans/media over the years.
  10. Yeah man some pin point laser passes to heath evans
  11. I don't disagree in theory. I disagree that the Bills have the personell to be agressive. They just don't. If this team played a more agressive approach on defense they would yield 30 points a game on a consistent basis. They kept us in some games. Strictly on their ability to keep plays infront of them. Of course scoring will be low when you're on the field for a series of 6-8 minute drives during the course of a game. You can throw this lack of offense stuff around. At the end of the day teams like pitt/baltimore don't exactly have good offenses but they're superbowl contenders. Offense sells tickets. Defense wins championships.
  12. Hey I didn't really disagree with your post, but this dline is anything but good, or even average. Constructed as is will never be good enough to win in the postseason. The norm in the postseason would be those series of 8-9 minute 80 yard drives we've given up several times this year. If you wanna feel good about how they played today. Let's just be happy the weather was too sh------- for NE to pass. Otherwise the score would really reflect how inept the front 7 is.
  13. It was the efficiency of the drives. Yards per carry are never really a stat I look at. The real story was the depth at runningback for NE compared to Buffalo. You can look at the stats and say "it wasn't that bad" but sammy morris and jordan killed us when it mattered. Consistently putting the pats in good down and distance, and the Bills were helpless to stop it. Tom Brady is back next year. If a philosophy by the Bills isn't changed we will never beat NE, until Belichick retires. It's beyond disgusting at this point.
  14. Defensive linemen early and often. We got schooled Pop Warner style by a team that threw 8 passes all game. Embarrsing
  15. If Edwards can throw into this wind... Oh nevermind why even question it
  16. lol poor guy like thats something to be critical about today
  17. It was over when it started. The pats are our daddies, and this is just another spanking
  18. Unless the Bills seriously change their philosphy, we will never beat NE Until Belichick retires.
  19. Punting the anatomy of a !@#$en loser. NE 3/3 on 4th down conversions. With the Wind in their face. With the wind at our back with nothing to play for we punt. Im so sick of losing to the !@#$en pats.
  20. This team never wants to be NE. I'm no fan of Lovie Smith, but we need a coach who will come in with the mindset that the Bills #1 goal should be to beat the Patriots. The Way Lovie Smith went into Chicago, talking about beating the Packers. We've now been outscored in the last 11 games by ne 318-96
  21. Seriously. It's not like she was offering her lunch box for half price as a Friday Afternoon Delight. If anything when I was in school a hot lunch lady might've been reason enough to eat school lunch instead of bringing my own.
  22. I was pretty happy reading this. At least someone gets it. This is far from a playoff caliber defense. http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW/The+W...+It/default.htm Buffalo Dec. 25, 2008 By Matt Sohn Bills offense in better shape than defense entering offseason In football, only so much can be gleaned from numbers. Case in point, the Bills. Buffalo ranks 25th in the NFL in offense, averaging 307.1 yards per game, and its defense ranks 20th giving up 331.7 yards a contest. Yet the obvious need to upgrade player personnel this offseason won't be zoned in on the offensive side. With the exception of tight end, the Bills are mostly pleased with the performers on that side of the ball, and remain confident that their current group has the ability to take the offense to the next level. The defense, the statistically superior unit, can expect to see a good amount of changes. Much of the front seven has produced subpar play in a season that fell apart at the seams following a 5-1 start, with only MLB Paul Posluszny and DT Marcus Stroud earning high marks for their work.
  23. I have a championship game tomorrow myself. Granted not for 1000 dollars. Best of luck to you. I'm expecting a big day out of Rivers. I'm kinda in good shape with the players I have for the most part. Although other then my 2nd rb this week I'm pretty set. qb- Rivers- team fighting for a playoff spot rb- Matt Forte- same rb2- either Lynch/chris johnson/grant/jacobs. Jacobs probably won't play much. I expected the bills to be blown out limiting the running game. The titans will probably rest johnson. So mostly between Lynch/Grant. wr- Antonio Bryant- also fighting for playoff spot. My best waiver wire pickup. He's been a beast down the stretch wr 2- Vincent Jackson- playoff spot. Although he had a concussion last week. I don't have much in the way of wr's. After investing draft heavy in rb's. Since it's a keeper league. te- john carlson- my 2nd best non draft pickup. I had drafted winslow jr. Carlson has been a good fill in K- Matt Prater def- Tenn I feel pretty good about my chances. Best of luck to you. Hope you win that cash
  24. Culture of losing. Going cheap with poor personell men, and cheap on assistant coaches will do that.
