Do New Browns have worst 1st round run
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I present to you the last 10 years of Kansas City Chiefs Drafts 1994- 25TH overall- rb Greg Hill(played from 94-99. 94-97 with the chiefs 98 with the rams 99 with the lions, career backup) 1995- 31st overall- Trezell Jenkins(who?) 1996- 28th overall- fs Jerome Woods( Crappy player, now will be batiling it out with greg wesley for playing time. Considering that when woods was picked milloy was picked 36th overall. in the 2nd rd they picked Reggie tongue, Brian Dawkins was picked just 3 spots later) 1997- Tony Gonzalez- 13th overall- Ok I'll give em this one 1998- Victor Riley T 27th overall 1999- John Tait- 14th overall. No longer with the team now with the chicago bears. Proved last year that he's not so good without all pro guard and future hof will shiedls next to him 2000- wr- Sylvester Morris- no longer with the team or in the nfl 21st overall 2001- no 1st or 2nd rd pick traded to the rams for 31 year old qb Trent Green. 3rd rd pick- eric downing dt the cuse 75th overall 2002- #6 overall Ryan Sims- really lazy player on a crappy defense. 2003- 27th overall- Larry Johnson(they had more pressing needs than to grab a rb who was #3 on the depth chart even last year, and didn't get to start till holmes went down and vermeil saw he can outperform blaylock) 2004- traded out of the 1st rd to grab junior siavii (you would think that on a defense as crappy as kc he would start, and well you'd be wrong) In the last 10 years of 1st rd picks for the chiefs they have produced Tony Gonzalez and a 31 year old quaterback -
We hadn't done this in awhile

I happen to agree. Marcellus Rivers isn't better than our current te's, but adding him to our special teams would only make us stronger in that area of the game. Nothing wrong with solid depth, however we still need a legit te,who can stretch the field, if we can get the oline fixed in free agency I'd like to draft alex smith out of stanford. A Good te is a young quaterbacks best friend.

Demulling still available!!!
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Navy Chief Navy Pride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah god forbid we actually pay someone who is available and can help the team compared to converting a dt to og because he's cheap and "versatile" I think we're all getting a little parnoid about spending money. When the truth is the places you should be spending money is along the oline. Now in all honesty who would you rather have Demulling for 3 million a year or bannan as our lg protecting the middle for our young qb? -

OT: Amazing News For Horror Fans
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to BillsGuyInMalta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I loved Jason however after Jason X I don't think I ever want to see another Jason movie ever again regardless of who's directing it. I just can't get that horrible film out of my bleeding mind. Just let jason die already. It's not worth rehashing. The films were cool, but enough is enough already. -
While de isn't as much of a glaring need as our oline is. De is the biggest need on defense. Like you said I'm not gonna hold any de up to a bruce smith standard, but it would be nice to bring in a guy who can provide some consistent pressure. For now though I guess we wait and see how kelsay develops. Schobel is solid, but seems to have 1 big game than dissapears for weeks at a time. Denney provides good depth and is solid against the run. Kelsay I don't really have my finger on yet. He makes plays every now and than but in the mold of schobel few and far between.

Kendrell Bell signs 7 years with Chiefs
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Chilly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
from what I heard from someone I talk to who lives in KC. Apparantly the chiefs were lowballing samari rolle, and leaked the story about his injury to get other teams to back off so his price would drop. Holy Backfire, obviousily the ravens saw different. The chiefs have a habit of being cheap. Their gm carl peterson doesn't care about bringing in skilled players to improve their team as long as he can get enough people to keep them in the 7-9 and 9-7 range that is a... ok by him. Their owner Lamart Hunt has no problem with this as well. From what my friend tells me even priest holmes and tony gonzalez had to threaten to hold out to get their contracts. -
Hypothetically speaking if we can swing the deal for LJ Shelton, and sign demulling. Would you trade our 2nd rd pick for Saints de Darren Howard? Saints | Seeking Second Rounder for Howard - from www.KFFL.com Tue, 8 Mar 2005 12:33:11 -0800 Updating a previous report, ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports it is believed the New Orleans Saints are seeking a second-round draft choice in exchange for "franchise" player DE Darren Howard this offseason. Howards Stats Year Team G Total Tckl Ast Sacks Int Yds Avg Lg TD Pass Def 2000 New Orleans Saints 16 51 36.0 15 11 1 46 46.0 46 0 6 2001 New Orleans Saints 16 53 35.0 18 6 1 37 37.0 37 0 3 2002 New Orleans Saints 16 47 34.0 13 8 0 0 0.0 0 0 3 2003 New Orleans Saints 8 29 27.0 2 5 0 0 0.0 0 0 4 2004 New Orleans Saints 13 46 36.0 10 11 0 0 0.0 0 0 1 TOTAL 69 226 168.0 58 41 2 83 41.5 46 0 17 I think if we can get shelton/demulling we'll be able to address oline depth later in the draft and would have no problem with doing a deal for howard, as he'd be an imediate impact and give us a pass rushing de that we need good for 8-10 sacks a year.

Jermaine Wiggins - TE
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Happy Days Lois & Clark's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Say we do swing the trade for shelton than sign demulling It would be a good idea to go te in the draft. However I wouldn't do that in the 2nd rd I'd go 2nd rd- Kevin Burnett olb tenn- can take over for jeff posey next year 3rd rd- Mike Patterson dt usc - not sure on his starting capabilities, but gives us good deph at the dt position especially consdering adams is the wrong side of 30. 4th rd- alex holmes te usc- great blocker kind of a similar te to jason dunn of the chiefs. 5-7 fill it with safety, oline whatever -

Rolle signs with the Ravens
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to ganesh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
actually yes rolle does have a pretty bad injury. Got this off kffl as well Chiefs | Issues with Rolle's Health - from www.KFFL.com Mon, 7 Mar 2005 06:27:31 -0800 According to the Kansas City Star, the Kansas City Chiefs have lingering concerns about free agent CB Samari Rolle's (Titans) health. A spinal condition may prevent the Chiefs from signing him. Rolle has a narrowing of the spinal column, which the team discovered during a routine physical during his visit. It appears a deal is still possible and the parties are negotiating, but the team also appears more hesitant to complete a deal at this time. Another factor involved in the situation is Rolle's arrest in February for domestic assault; if convicted, he could face a maximum sentence of a year in jail. -
Would you be interested in Burress
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to RVJ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hell yes I'd be interested in burress if not for a few things 1. He won't come cheap. he wants to be a #1 wr and get paid like it 2. We need an oline right now more than a wr 3. I don't want the bills tying up that much money in wr. On the other hand it would be easier to say goodbye to moulds next season and have burress step in and have a wr duo of burress and evans. However this in all likelehood is not going to happen, and I'd rather get the oline upgraded and get a te and a cheap #3 wr a jerome pathon, ike hilliard type player. -
Not interested in a 12 yr. old for us but
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to AKC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm pretty sure it has something to do with not wanting to tie up too much money into wr's. Their better wr Hines ward is a free agent after this coming season, and I'm sure they would rather retain him than burress. -
Demulling in Buffalo today
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Dan III's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ross Tucker I think if we can sign demulling. Move Mike Williams over to lt. this too me seems to be our best option as there aren't many good lts out in free agency, and I'd feel better about having someone over there with experience rather than a rookie. Demulling at lg. Trey Teague at center, villiarail at rg, and draft a khallif barnes, anthony munoz just my $.02 -
Please list every team you would swap
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't speak for anyone else, but I'd take ne's defense over ours Maybe it's coaching or maybe it's because ne's defense would never allow 9 minute drives to 3rd and 4th stringers. They man handle teams when it counts. If any teams fans should know that it's us and the colts, and for what it's worth GREAT Quaterbacks don't win superbowls. GREAT TEAMS DO. -
Please list every team you would swap
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ne,Carolina and maybe philly and kc Ne- their defense is lights out especially in big games. Dillon can wear you down with the running game and Brady is Mr. Clutch Carolina- Julius F'n Peppers= the best de and maybe the best overall athlete in the entire nfl. Very few de's can change the flow of an entire game the way this guy can. Foreget Kearse Peppers is the real "Freak" On a whole I think they're the best team in the nfc and if not for all the injuries last year would've made the playoffs and the superbowl imho. Philly-Once again their defense. They may give up some yards but they don't allow you to score touchdowns and Their secondary is pretty good, Dawkins and Michael Lewis might be the best safety duo in the league (right now). Don't have much of a running game, TO is fun to watch and Mcnabbs pretty good too. Could do without freddie mitchell though Kc- If you're gonna trade for an entire roster that has offensive potential than I chose the team thats had a top redzone offense since 1998. The KC Chiefs. While their defense is worse than the colts. they did hand it to indy this past season. Priest holmes is out of this world.(I know I know it's the line) they got larry johnson who will give them a good 1-2 punch the best te in the game in tony gonzalez, a vastly underrated qb in Trent green and Vermeil>>>>>Dungy. -
L.Coles traded to Jets 4 S.Moss
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to 2003's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1st off.... Santana Moss does not "suck" he was just not a good fit for the west coast offense the jets were running. 103 of Penningtons 242 completions were to his rb's 31 to his te's. that means only 106 passes were spread out to his wr's. Santana Moss being the beneficiary of only 45 of those 106 passes. still racked up 838 yards an 18.6 average and 5 td's. Moss also had his best games when pennington went down and the jets had no choice but to put an emphasis on the vertical passing game which is moss's strong suit. great run after catch ability and the speed to get open deep and quickly. It doesn't suprise me that moss had his best season in 2003 when testaverde was the starting qb due to penningtons injury. I look for moss to have a similar season like that in washington as ramsey will get the ball to him deep. Laveranues Coles is a good wr. He fits in just about any offense. He's a better wr for the west coast system. A little better route runner than santana moss makes him a better fit. The thing I don't get is The Jets new o coordinator Mike Heimerdinger likes to throw the ball a lot and likes to throw it deep, which I think moss is better at than coles. With that said I expect moss to have a better season with the redskins this year than coles with the jets -
Bills new cap number per ESPN...
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to FTW_BillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Leave it up to a doofus with glasses to light a fire under tom donahoes ass to go out and sign some free agnets. Just wait till clayton readjusts his figures and has us over the cap we'll have ty law, mayberry, shelton, freddie jones and jerome pathon by the end of the week -
I was over at buffalo bills.com and saw someone post the following During the "Afternoon Blitz" on Sirius NFL Radio it was confirmed by both hosts to a caller from Syracuse that Ty Law will be in B-lo tommorow.... Can anyone with sirius radio possibly give the thumbs up or down on this?!?

[News] V-Coach - Bills sign QB Kelly Holcomb
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love this signing. This was the best possible backup to jp we could get and maybe a man who could even push jp in training camp and preseason, and if need be would make me feel comfortable going into the season if holcomb was our starter. I love it. However if he's not our starter how long before the impatient ones start clamoring for holcomb to start? Either way great signing and just gave us one less worry this offseason. Now we just gotta worry about lt/lg and a te. -
Hey all you OLine specialists and GMs
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to nodnarb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
From what I've read I'm just guessing he'll be depth for both positions ala a ross tucker type player who can step in and start if need be. Unless The Bills feel that he could make a quality starter, but my best guess would be backup guard/tackle -
