  1. Sounds like a day well spent
  2. Ok For all you fans of lost go to oceanic-air.com. Type in 815 for the flight # Click track and than on the chart click 815 When the seating chart pops up click #'s 4,8,15,16,23,42 and a season 2 promo shows up
  3. How dare someone want more money when they perform. Mcgahee should feel privileged just to wear a Buffalo Bills uniform and keep his mouth shut, and when the time comes and he doesn't take the vet min than get rid of him regardless of how good he is. I love alcohol
  4. Why do some people here think our line was "good" last year? CMP ATT YD YPA TD INT ATT YD YPA TD YD 262 461 3032 6.58 21 17 483 1874 3.88 15 4906 NFL rank - 27 27 27 22 18 18 9 12 24 12 24 ranking 24th in yards per attempt in rushing is a tell tale sign of a line that is not good. Now I don't know how many sacks we gave up last year i assume it was at 40 giving up a sack once every 11.5 pass attempts probably isn't all that good either. While we improved later in the season giving up fewer sacks. Our line gets no drive on run blocking. Most of the yards after contact were made by mcgahee. You can't really appreciate how good Willis was unless you watch him bounce off defenders like bowling balls. The fact he averaged 4 yards a carry to me is amazing. Right now there are 2 glaring needs that are keeping us from going to that next level an oline and a kicker, and until we get those things. We can bring in all those skill position players you want but we'll still end up as nothing more than an average team. I have faith in Mcnally but I won't be fooled into thinking our line was or is "good"
  5. NFL MVP may be a little too easy. It'll probably be manning, but I'm gonna call something else This years Defensive Player of the year- Nate Clements
  6. Well that just sucks, It's good to know that at least we're trying to bring in someone else to replace Lindell, would've been nice to get edinger.
  7. Yeah, let's build our entire offensive philosophy around a damn Kicker, because our coaching staff has no faith in him to kick long field goals evidenced by his horrible 0-2 in 50+ yard attempts in the last 2 YEARS. Both of those 50 yard attemps coming in 2003 . Building a team which gives a Kicker the best chance to succeed is the most moronic thing ever. Lindell desereves to be reamed. We also should bring in free agents to compete with him. Ya sometimes people hear of free agents because they're actually ya know GOOD!! 1-3 FROM 40-49 0-0 FROM 50 Yards..... Of course you're gonna have a high percentage when over 90% of your fg attempts are from 20-29 and 30-39. Rian Lindell must go at all costs. Edinger has proved he can kick from 50+. Martin Gramatica is known for having a leg. Even John Hall is as well. ANYONE BUT LINDELL!!!!!
  8. This whole time reading this thread I was just thinking..... I wonder if 90 million women are wearing the wrong size panties
  9. Bears | Edinger Perfect on His Last Day - from www.KFFL.com Sun, 22 May 2005 19:12:24 -0700 Bob LeGere, reports for the Daily Herald, former Chicago Bears PK Paul Edinger was a perfect place kicker his last day with the team Sunday, May 22. Edinger connected on all five of his field goal attempts from 28, 33, 38, 40 and 43 yards. One thing made clear at practice was that Edinger was his teammates' choice to win the job. Whenever he kicked he had no pre-kick distractions. When another kicker attempted a field goal they were greeted with catcalls by the other players. Despite the perfect day, Edinger was later released. Edinger and his agent, Ken Harris, appreciate the opportunity to investigate job openings well in advance of the opening of training camps in late July. Harris said he will spend the upcoming week pinpointing the best spot for Edinger. I bet Lindell would've missed from 38,40 and 43.
  10. Paul Edinger is a career 13-19 from 50+ and a career 40-57 from 40-49. In the last 2 years he is 6-9 from 50+ and 13-21 from 40-49 Rian Lindell is a career 7-14 from 50+ and 21-37 from 40-49. In the last 2 years Lindell is 0-2 from 50+(shows how much confidence we have in him kicking 50 yard fg's) and 4-10 from 40-49 I'd say it's worth bringing in edinger as he's shown he's pretty acurate from 50+, and at worst would be a training camp battle to either push Lindell or hopefully replace him.
  11. Willis Mcgahee is bigger than any silly curse. Madden, SI, OR TSW..... Willis Will rush for over 1500 yards and double digit td's or I will personally skip around my block naked and video tape it, and believe you me, nobody wants to see that :
  12. well now I'm just baffled. Several teams are expressing interest which will drive his price up. Obviousily other nfl gm's think shelton can play yet we're stuck with Mike Gandy and trey teague in what seems a lt by committee system. I don't know the ins and outs of the salary cap, but I do know we have a glaring need at lt, a glare which could be filled by shelton and yet we're stuck with nothing but guards who can play several positions yet no legit lt
  13. I'm not buying it either. Gandy to me is nothing more than a role player at best. A Finese rp at that. Shelton from what I've seen from him has some pop in the run game. I don't think he's that much worse than Jonas Jennings. The biggest thing I think is to have consistency on the oline. Not a rotating ol system where you plug in someone else who pass protects better than the other guy or a guy who run blocks better than the guy who pass protects. 5 consistent players across the board. All The Great olines have it. KC, Indy, Philly, Pittsburgh,NE Yeah you replace guys as they come in go in free agency but I'm just not keen ont the idea that trey teague will see time at lt, and gandy's our starting lt. A LT/LG by committie spells disaster to me. I'm just not seeing how shelton isn't better than either gandy or teague. With that said though I put my faith in mcnally and pray to god it all works out for the best.
  14. Sam Adams, Lawyer Milloy, TKO and Jeff Posey and I have a feeling E Moulds could throw down as well

  16. All Star Wars movies suck imo, but to each their own I guess
  17. I'll just miss Joltin Joe Benningo's late night tirades after a Jet's loss on wfan. Classic stuff. Herm Edwards is a great motivator, however in the marty schottenhimer mold lacks what it takes to win in the playoffs.
  18. Michael Bennett is more fragile than a crystal vase. Mewlde Moore is a great chance of pace type back from what I saw I don't think he can be a full time starter. I believe they drafted Fiatrick Fason who could turn out to be the guy. However Mike Tice is the most bipolar coach in the league. He can't decide to use one guy and stick with him. I honestly don't believe the vikings have a "STARTING" quality rb on their roster. They have a stable of good backs but no true #1. Thanks to Onterio Smith and The Whizzanator I am now forced to remember that Chumbawumba song. "Pissin The Night Away"
  19. Yeah lets help a fellow afc team fighting for a playoff spot fill a need....... I'd much rather trade henry to the titans or somewhere in the nfc
  20. Eh, maybe I'm higher on Henry than most, but I don't think a rb who's proven himself in the league and has back to back seasons with over 1300+ yards and double digit td's should be traded for anything less than a 3rd rd pick. I'm not gonna believe lamar gordon was worth a 3rd rounder and henry isn't. If thats the case I'd rather hold onto travis and force his hand. Worst case scenairo we have a disgruntled backup rb. Best case scenairo we have a rb who realizes all the crying in the world isn't gonna do him any favors and goes and produces in a backup role and we get one more quality year out of him, and get some type of compensation pick when he leaves after this season. It never hurts to have 2 quality rb's on your team.
  21. and the cards thought it was "Fair Value" to trade shelton straight up for henry, now we can get him and than still try to trade henry to another team. Not saying we will and not overestimating henry's value, but if Lamar Gordon can etch a 3rd rd pick, I wouldn't trade henry for anything less than that.

  23. I'm going to use 3 examples of Wr's during the same era. Someone tell me how Andre Reed is not A HALL OF FAMER......... I remember last year people were saying Michael Irvin should be a shoe in for the hof. He wasn't 1st ballot but if Irvin does make the hof there is no reason why Andre Reed should not. Chris Carter is a lock imo and his #'s are all similar to reed. Both Top 10 ALL TIME in receptions, yards and td's which should be the barometer by which The Hall of Fame is measured for receiver. Here are their Career playoff stats Chris Carter- TOTAL | 0 0 0 | 63 860 8 Michael Irvin- TOTAL | 0 0 0 | 87 1314 8 Andre Reed- TOTAL | 7 27 0 | 85 1230 9
  24. ummm who would be our de's? Aaron schobel and chris kelsay would get killed from the de position in a 3-4 they're smallish types. Most 3'4 de's are between 290-300+ Also we know next to nothing about the true extent of our lb depth. Who do we play at the other ilb spot next to fletcher? Speaking of Fletcher I don't see many 5'9 lb's playing in a 3-4 defense. Most of your 3-4 mlbs are bigger guys. We don't have the peronel to run a 3-4, maybe as a every now and than defense, but we're built for a 4-3
  25. Being only 21 I can't realy relate to any of this old time story stuff. With that said...... I've heard it all from my parents, how they're parents would lay down the law, give them strict discipline when it was waranted. However also knowing my grandparents if some "adult" and I use that term loosely dared to hit one of their kids that person would've been beaten like a red headed step child and rightfully so. Not knowing all the facts of the story, I can't place blame, other than on the teacher, for putting his hands on a child. When that is simply defined as child abuse. As he is not that kids parent. I can say when i do have kids one day if anyone who isn't me or their mother lays a hand on my child, I'd take them to the woodshed and wouldn't think twice about it regardless of why they took that course of action with My child. With that said, I hope to raise my children one day to know right from wrong, to respect their teachers and other classmates, but to also have enough common sense to know not to lay down, to be able to stand up for themselves, and never under any circumstances feel threatned by someone who is there simply to teach the required curriculum, not to harm my child in any way deemed innapropriate, physically, verbally or sexually.
