  1. Mcgee has played worse then clements. and isn't the answer to replace him nor is eric king, kevin thomas or jabari greer. I still think it's more the scheme then the skill of the players. Your secondary can only be as good as your dline allows them to be. The better your dline the better your secondary. It also doesn't help having a guy like clements play 10 yards off the ball and playing cover 2. It kills us over the middle and on crossing routes, allowing wr's to eat up catches and yards and they pile up. Also with a cover 2 if you get a reception over the middle all it takes is one block and the wr will get huge yardage as we've seen several times this year. The problem imo becomes not whether nate clements is worth re-signing I believe he is, but who do you replace him with? I also wonder if denver fans sit around and go "Champ Bailey isn't worth his contract" seeing how the broncos have the 29th pass ranked defense. I guess they don't cause of their record.
  2. That huge run by michael turner all but wraps up the chargers victory. No undefeated season for the colts
  3. I'm not a fan of terrence mcgee as a cornerback. I think he's adequate but by no means a star. I'm glad we signed him to an extension cause he's a great kick returner, but if we lose clements and mcgee becomes our #1 corner we'd better develop a great defensive line or it's gonna get ugly. About VIncent he shouldn't even be starting. It was a mistake to sign this guy to a long contract. I'd play Baker the final 2 games and see what he has.
  4. On the 2004 bills Holcomb would've been a more then sufficent starting qb, however with our current attrocity of a team it's better to go with the young kid. Although I haven't seen an awful lot from losman other then he can scramble and has a strong arm. I can't put that much stock in either of the qb's due to the current state of our oline, defense, no idenity, poor coaching etc etc etc, but I'd rather see the kid play right now. Not cause I think he's gonna be a great qb, I don't see that right now, but I want to see if he shows any true glimpses.
  5. show me a wr who catches 100% of passes thrown his way
  6. if thats what the new gm and coach decide is in the best interest of the buffalo bills so be it. I have no loyalty to a paticular person I just want to see this team win. Whether it's with JP Losman or Joe Schmoe.
  7. Tell this to the Texans. I think we've seen enough sh------- linemen here the past decade to know better then this. Our skill position players are fine, lets get some damn linemen on both sides of the ball. Ne plays well cause their linemen are quality and well coached. Our linemen are fat undisciplined slobs who fall over themselves. Having skill players is nice but you don't win in this league without quality linemen.
  8. Not only does mcgahee have to worry about getting hit in the backfield he has to worry about his own blockers getting turned around facing the backfield and avoind them or running over them coughmarkcampbellcough and then having the presence of mind to pick up some positive yardage. Mcgahee is far from the problem on this team. The Problem on this team is no idenity. Are we a passing team? Are we a running team? The Problem is that shaud williams should not be in the game on 3rd downs. Look I get it. Shaud Williams is better at blitz pickup, but as Bill Parcells said. You can't protect your quaterback all the time. There comes a time when you just have to wing it and play football. Mcgahee is a good receiving back at least decent enough that he should get more oppportunities. Mularkey is in over his head. He was never a great offensive coordinator to begin with, and is a worse head coach with no sense of direction.
  9. what game were you watching? Mcgee got toasted like a bagel, and when you have teams take several clock killing drives by basically running the ball the de's are far from the problem. These dt's are reserves at best, and the #1 problem on the defense. We have 2 quality starters on the line one of whom who will probably be gone in the offseason Sam Adams. So you're looking at revamping basically the whole dline.
  10. Actually Mcgee got lit up big time more so then clements. Most of rod smith's catches were with mcgee covering him. However with that said jerry grays version of a cover 2 which I hate in any form calls for zone coverage, once the wr gets past the corner backs zone it is the responsibility of another defender in that zone to pick up the coverage. So When people see wr's killing us it's not generally the cb's fault, it's more so the designed schme of the defense. This defense calls for very good coverage lb's and while I like fletcher he's a step slower then he used to be making him a liability, as is troy vincent at the safety level. We should be playing more man to man defense with the players we have. Our defense generally gets killed with big passes over the middle of the field where in the grays scheme it should be the responsibility of the lb to pick up the underneath coverage the fs to pick up deep.
  11. Is mcgahee injured or something?!?!?!
  12. it's kind of sad the only person with any heart on this team probably won't be here next season, but hey at least we're headed in the right direction
  13. if this game isn't a stunning revelation we need to draft a dt or go after a grady jackson well then I don't know what is. just killing the clock and making it look too easy.
  14. Memo to Terrence Mcgee: Next time you're trying to tackle a 200+ lb rb go low. You're already getting chumped this game bad.
  15. but..... he's a better blocker
  16. next time we're in the redzone if we get ther again how about leaving our best offensive player on the field and leave shaud williams on the bench
  17. wow look at that willis mcgahee gets a pass thrown his way and makes a 15 yard gain, yet we take him out on 3rd downs
  18. lol @ josh stamer falling in coverage in the endzone allowing wesley duke to get the td
  19. mcgee got owned there
  20. Chris villarrial needs to be benched and promptly gone in the offseason
  21. Lee Evans is zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz I know we're 4-9 but damn play with some motivation evans. Chris Villarrial as well
  22. I think if we have it in opposing team territory then wtf go for it every 4th down. Theres nothing to lose
  23. team B. Team A's receivers are gonna have huge weeks this week. I'd rather face the dude with Samkon Gado. Lamont Jordan is a blah rb, and gado vs ravens tips the scales for me, as opposed to jordan vs cleveland. Team B also has wishy/washy wr's and kerry collins so yeah choose team B
