  1. Indy 24- Chicago 17. Manning to reggie wayne in the waning seconds of the game.
  2. I understand what you're saying and agree about getting losman the experience to see if he is gonna be our future qb, but I don't agree that'll take that long to turn around. It's been proven in this league it doesn't take that long to field a competative team look no further then ne or this years bears team. 1-2 years tops for competeant gm and coaches to turn a team around. It's been done plenty of times.
  3. A Takeo Spikes throwback jersey a Bills head warmer and a knit hat and bills flannel pajama pants
  4. Holcomb is the most under appreciated player on this team, all because he doesn't have a cannon arm. He's good enough to not lose games, which if you have a strong run game and defense is just the type of qb you should have. I'm glad he's on our team. Losmans got a ways to go before he's as good as holcomb
  5. I believe Marcus McNeil will last to the 2nd rd McNeil LT GandyLG BentleyOC Prestonrg Petersrt Our guards right now are horrible. I'd like to do a little better then gandy and preston, but at least they're a little more mobile then the 2 current guards and would probably be able to pull. Bentley is a huge upgrade from teague, and having a hard nosed center is a must in any good oline. I'm not sure about peters at LT right now. I'm not saying he can't make the transition but it's not an easy one. Marcus McNeil is a nasty road grader who opened up holes for the likes of Ronnie Brown and Caddilac Williams at Auburn.
  6. Merry Christmas Everyone and may your day be joyfull and night be peaceful. May you get what you want, and bring a smile to the faces of loved ones. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night
  7. Hey lets go after Shaun Alexander I hear he's available after this season..... Seriousily lets stop running off every good player we have. This is one of the worst run blocking lines in the league. Neither of our guards are capable of pulling, which is a must if you want to be a running team, and our interior line in general get no push. Notice the goalline situations where villiarial and teague got turned into the backfield. Even Solomon wilcots was pointing this out. We're starting a journeymen tackle and a converted undrafted te at the tackle spots, a crappy slob guard, a tiring injury plagued rg, and one of the weakest centers in the nfl. What do you expect.
  8. quote=Buffal0 Bill5,Dec 24 2005, 08:10 PM]You rarely seem willing to give a guy room to develop. As TM is in this league, he seems to keep getting better. He is the type of guy the Bills need. 542071[/snapback] No doubt Mcgee has progressed very well. I'm just not a big fan of 5'9 corners. I believe he'd struggle big time as a #1 corner going consistently against teams #1 receivers. I'm not trying to take anything away from him, he's a playmaker.
  9. Terrence Mcgee is a stud kick returner. He's a decent corner. He's can change a game as a kick returner. I just dont want to have him as a #1 corner ever. I'm still not entirely comfortable with him as a #2.
  10. the most important part of a run game is attempts not yards to keep defenses honest. We put in the attempts so for that I wouldn't give a d. It's not worth beating the dead horse by saying this oline gets no push in the run game. Even solomon wilcots was pointing this out today. So no I dont agree with the d.
  11. Thanks for finally getting my original point in the other thread
  12. It's called a porous defensive line that generally never gets pressure. Also when you have a poor run defense like we do this season. It puts teams in shorter down and distance making it easier for offenses to pass, and generally make good corners look bad. Clements hasn't been good this year I'll agree with that. I just don't think he's been as bad as people have said.
  13. Losman had his chance to go to a big time school in UCLA he didn't. I'm not saying Losmans a bum so if it came out that way I didn't mean it. I think Losman has talent to be good in the right system. I just dont see him a franchise savoir just a piece of the puzzle who if built around can be successful.
  14. early yes he had his struggles however as the season progressed he began to get better and better. With good games against the ravens, browns, baltimore, and new england to end the season. A much better completion pct then losman as well in his 1st season. I'm not saying Losman has to carry our team or be as good as Palmer. I think we build a winning team with an adequate qb. Improve the lines on both sides, and with solid defense and power running limiting us to safe passes and the occasional deep throw I believe Losman will turn out ok, but I dont see how he was worth trading up for. The type of offense Losman could succeed in ala a Jake Plummer isn't something you give up that many draft picks for, and I think by the end of next seaosn if Losman still isn't "Getting it" well then it's been more then enough time.
  15. I can only go off what I've seen, and what I've seen is Palmer is worlds better then Losman in every aspect of the game he was when he came into the league and probably will be 2-3 years form now as well. I'm not a Losman fan, I hope it clicks for him, but He's no Carson Palmer
  16. JP Losman is no carson palmer and never will be. Palmer is a franchise type qb that can carry a team. Losman is a Jake Plummer type who has mobility and an arm but a qb you build around. I think we can build around holcomb and be just as well off. Losman hasn't proved anything to hand him the offense. I know we "gave up a lot" for him, but if it doesnt start clicking by next year then cut rope
  17. The good quaterback was sitting on the sidelines. We beat miami with Holcomb, would've beaten the saints with holcomb, probably not the pats though but I doubt it would've been that bad. This team minus the chiefs game has played better football with Holcomb then with Losman. That's not to say that Losman won't be good, just that right now Holcomb is better.
  18. I dont see the big deal. It's Chad Johnson not choped Liver. Johnsons only gonna lead the afc in receiving yards for the 3rd straight year. You wanna call out nate on bad play fine, but using the best receiver in the afc as a means to do so isn't being level headed. TJH lit up mcgee as well. Of course that's null and void due to an int, but For the most part the entire secondary played well enough to win the game and thats what matters
  19. that jerry grays scheme. He has his corners play off. Mcgee played well but he's not a #1 corner and never will be. He's an exciting playmaker and good as a #2 but I dont want him as a #1 unless we get a serious upgrade to our dline.
  20. Not all the time madden likes to pass too much. He had me calling play action passes 1st and goal from the 2
  21. yes Jim Kelly went to The U, but he's from pittsburgh, pa
  22. A Combination of the draft and free agency from the inside out. Strong hard nosed center ala LeCharles Bentley. Guards who are athletic and quick, capable of pulling on counters, traps and sweeps, who aren't top heavy. The inside of the line your center and guards are the makeup of any succesful oline. Yes tackles are important but if you don't have the bodies in the interior your oline will never be succesful. The majority of rushing attempts occur up the middle, and the most succesful rushing team have interior guards who can pull. My old highschool coach always said if you don't have good sleigh dogs your sleigh won't ride. I believe it. I'm not a believer in breaking the bank for tackles. Yes they're one of the highest paid positions, and yes important, but especially with a mobile qb I think the best way to build a line is inside out. I'm not saying go cheap on tackles, but I think you can get 2nd tier guys and still build a more then quality offensive line.
  23. Steve Heiden or Aaron shea. and Antonio Bryant
