Bills looking at Rivera for Head Coach
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to seq004's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know what you're getting at, cause he has no coaching experience and I agree, but Rivera is one of the bettter coordinator choices for hc. As far as coordinators go my first choice would be Al Saunders, followed by Donnie Henderson with Rivera right behind them, but yeah I'd rather a hc with some head coaching experience. -
My Broncos will probably lose
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to RLflutie7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Look for denver to struggle with the run game against a healthy ne dline and lbs. Since Seymour has been back the pats defense has been pretty damn good. If Denver is gonna win this game they're gonna have to force turnovers to set up their offense or it's all gonna be on Jake Plummers shoulders, hopefully for denver they can force some turnovers, but I'll be pulling for the broncos. -
Ladanian Tomlinson 2005 sdg | 16 | 339 1462 4.3 18 | 51 370 7.3 2 Rushes- 5th in the nfl yards- 6th Td's-3rd Yards from scrimmage- 5th Rush/Rec tds- 3rd Holy Misuse The chargers are talented, but they have one of the worst secondarys in the nfl, and drew brees has only been a good qb for about a season.

Because? Schottenheimer has been/is one of the best coaches in the nfl over the past decade, and if he was in the event released by the chargers would be out of work all of about a half hour. He generally fills his team with young players. In essence he's a perfect rebuilding coach. I dont want to hear this stuff how his teams dont win superbowls, neither has bill cowher, that doesn't make him anything less then a great coach as well.

When did Dan Reeves ever win the big game?

MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives

Fearlessly Off-Base Coaching Prediction
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Arkady Renko's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll go have a good cry with him at the airport . I still prefer al saunders over anyone else though -
yeah it was wack yo

my honest guess is that cause so much was invested in losman that we'll keep him for another year, and if he doesn't show considerable improvement he'll be gone. Or a lot of coaches do prefer bringing in their type of players to their system so he could just as easily be gone. JP is on borrowed time imo. I think Something will be worked out with mike williams a restructure, and see where he's at next year.

WHO DO PEOPLE WANT AS "OUR" HEAD COACH
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Gardinier's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Haslett isn't on the top of my list but just for argument sake about aaron brooks he has 4 seasons with over 20 tds passes | 2001 nor | 16 | 312 558 55.9 3832 6.9 26 22 | 80 358 1 | 2002 nor | 16 | 283 528 53.6 3572 6.8 27 15 | 61 256 2 | | 2003 nor | 16 | 306 518 59.1 3546 6.8 24 8 | 54 175 2 | | 2004 nor | 16 | 309 542 57.0 3810 7.0 21 16 | 58 173 4 Seems Haslett was doing a decent job with him. The saints lacked the talent to compete with rest of the teams in that division, Mcallister had underachieved and or been injured, donte stallworth has also not lived up to expectations. The only consistency they had was from Joe Horn and their defensive line. They lacked lb's and a secondary. -

HC- Al Saunders OC- Josh McDaniels DC- Dick Jauron -
Serious Candidate for HC
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to bills_fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't mind Jauron as a defensive coordinator as a head coach I'll pass. I'd like the bills to take a serious look at Al Saunders. http://www.kcchiefs.com/coach/al_saunders/ -
Bills | Permission granted to interview Fairchild
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to nmas3's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont know much about fairchild, but maybe he learned from martz how to develop quaterbacks. That and well towards the end of the year there was a lot more of a balance in the rams offense, with more emphasis on the run, maybe he can bring that here? I wouldn't call it a bad move without knowing more about the guy. edit: I didn't realize he used to be our running backs coach. I think a runningbacks coach as an offensive coordinator would be a good idea. -
giants have their eye on clements
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to nodnarb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While I'm not advocating getting rid of Nate, If we can tag him then get the giants 1st rd pick, then pick up giants free agent cb Will Allen I'd consider than a pretty successful tradeoff. While Allen is a downgrade from Clements he'll solidify our corner position opposite mcgee, while we can use the giants first as well as our own to improve in the trenches. Win/Win really. Although I'd still like to see them reach a long term agreement with Clements. -
Pats will win the Super Bowl...again
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm pulling for the steelers. This is probably bettis's last season, and what a better way to go out then winning a superbowl where you grew up? He's a easy guy to root for so I hope the steelers win it all. And the wheels on the bus go round and round all through detroit. -
I was looking at the Panthers

Since we're posting "dream offseasons"....
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to BravinSeattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he has a knack for generally being around the ball and brings a more physical style of play at least compared to troy vincent. He's not there yet but I can see him getting a lot better fast with more playing time. I think he's played pretty good when given the chance especially for an undrafted free agent. Like in the chiefs game for instance. Theres not really a lot of games I can point out cause he doesn't start, but I'd like to see him get a shot. Mostly because I'd seriousily like to see a youth movement on the defense. -

A Few things... 1. No way we get Arrington. As much as I would love that, cause I still buy into his potential to be amazing. Cutting him will be a huge burden on the redskins cap. I believe he'll come around in gregg williams system. His problem is he's a free lancer. Once he realizes williams system fits his style perfect he'll live up to his hype and won't be leaving washington anytime soon. 2. Antonio Cromarite. I LOVE IT. Earlier in the year I figured if we were gonna draft a cb to replace clements it would be this guy. If not for his injury he'd be a sure fire first round talent. 3. I wouldn't cut Lawyer Milloy. he can still play, and has shown me a lot more then vincent. I know it's doubtful but I'd rather they cut vincent. I like rashad baker a lot and with some experience I think he'd be a damned good free safety. Coy wire on the on the other hand is a horrible ss and has shown nothing at all. Theres not really anyone worthwhile as a free agent. I imagine the dolphins will re-sign Lance Schulters. Maybe Tank Williams from tenn or Clinton Hart. I'm unaware of any potential safeties we can draft that can start from day 1, without drafting a 1st round safety. For this reason I'd keep Lawyer Milloy for another year. 4. Chris Kelsay does not deserve to start. As much as I would like to see a Darren Howard or Abraham brought in I'll settle instead for a Raheem Brock or take a look at someone like carlos hall. Both better pass rushers then kelsay and brock is better against the run as well. The Kelsay experiment should be over. 5. As far as the oline. I'm not really a fan of D'brickshaw. I think he's too finese and would prefer more of a road grader tackle like Marcus Mcneil. Also I dont think Preston has done much to garner starting at center. I've noticed he's played more guard. I'd like to see an oline of LT- Marcus Mcneil Lg- Mike Gandy C- Lecharles Bentley Rg-Chris Villarrial Rt- Mike Williams I'm hoping that we keep williams, and move jason peters to his rightful position of a blocking te. Peters can be jason dunn esque for us. -
Marcus Vick is the perfect fit.....
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Marcus Vick fell to the 3rd round I'd have no problem drafting him. Anything earlier then that then no. -
Watching the Jags play offense
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
lol other then fred taylor when he's healthy. Greg Jones. and jimmy smith their rest of their offense pretty much did nothing. Reggie Williams? The guy got knocked down to their 4th wr because he's been such a gigantic bust. I'll give you their defense though they have a very strong dline good lb's especially in Mike Peterson and Akin Odoyle, and their secondary is good as well. They like us lack an oline. Leftwich isn't also a qb who can carry a team on his back, but with a strong run game he can win some games. He still has to learn the meaning of "touch pass". -
If the top 7 players are gone at our pick....
MartyBall4Buffalo replied to BravinSeattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
kiwi and its not close -
Part of what I feared about Vincent when we signed him. Vincent was never known as one to play through injuries especially the last few years he has missed time. His standing in the NFLPA, and being a leader on this team thats bound to trickle down to the players with that lax attitude. If you're hurt and feel you can't go then don't go. While I like that vincent is a character guy this team needs leaders that will push their teammates to the limits, not take it easy, and everything will be ok.

anyone of those guards or tackles I left lised. The dt list isn't working for me either. But theres 2 prominent de's I'd like being John Abraham or Darren Howard. Or someone like carlos hall or raheem brock.
