  1. Bakers done a lot more then Leonhard. No offense to him but I'd like my ss to be tall enough to ride the roller coasters at six flags. Hows his coverage ability? Whats his vertical?
  2. Either way the safety issue was going to need to be addressed. Whether thru the draft or free agency. It just means no matter who we draft at ss will have to play sooner. I'm still holding out hope vincent gets cut, but I guess they figure they need one veteran presence in the secondary. Not suprised by cement shoes Campbell getting cut. Good riddance to him.
  3. Coy Wire in a cover 2 I hope they draft someone or bring in someone. Anyone but Coy Wire.
  4. A little shocked at milloy. I was hoping it would be vincent who got cut.
  5. My favorite Bills player since Thurman. I just cant help but wonder with some consistency at the qb spot what kind of #'s moulds would've put up. I thank E Moulds for the memories, and wish nothing but the best for him professionaly. Thank you Eric.
  6. The more and more I think about it. The more I believe we'll end up taking broderick bunkley. The cover 2 relies on smaller quicker dts who can push the pocket, dont get that confused with interior pass rush. I'm just talking about a dt who can get into the backfield to force bad throws or blow up running plays. Felwel(sp?) and jauron might feel that a bunkley could be our version of Tommie Harris, or they could go ngata, as Jaurons best defense in chicago are when he had keith traylor and Big Ted. In other words I dont really know so this post is useless it could go this way or that way who knows?
  7. well Moulds actual salary I believe is a little over 6 million, but when you factor in bonuses his cap hit is 10 million. Either way it's still a lot of money. I hope something gets worked out. I cant say I blame him though. At this point in his career, he'll probably sacrifice the money to play for a contender. Most any pro athlete would tire easily of ever changing systems. I hope something gets worked out though
  8. Maybe I'm missing something about Krafts stadium debt issue. To me it seems akin to if I'm rich and someone else is poor. I privately build my own home, while the poor person takes out a loan in order to build his home and then I turn around and complain about it. He put his own eggs in the basket he should be responsible for it.
  9. http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=42325 It's about halfway down the page
  10. Moulds as he wont cost us a 1st and 3rd rd pick. Not that it matters since this is it for the cba, and we wont be able to compete with higher revenue teams, but yeah Lloyd would cost us a 1st and 3rd as he was tendered with such.
  11. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2348417 Well we're hosed
  12. Reggie Bush- This isn't college anymore reggie. The players are faster, you wont have as great of a line, and you're gonna have to find an inside game. Dont get me wrong I think he'll be a good runningback, but not the superstar everyone is expecting. I keep hearing the marshal faulk comparisons. I just dont see it. He's great when he can get around the corner, but it's much harder to run outside in the nfl, then it is in college. I also think at 201lbs he's too light. I dont really think he'll ever be a premier rb in this league. Given the choice I'd rather have Lendale White. Jay Cutler- way too much hype for this guy. He went from a nice 1st rd prospect to being considered the top qb in this draft? He's gonna have a lot on his shoulders if he gets drafted high. Especially if a disaster team like the jets take him at 4.
  13. the knock on jackson is he's kind of soft. I'd rather get a premier te, or someone like maurice stovall in the 3rd
  14. I wasn't big on this before but if we cut moulds I'm hoping on the vernon davis bandwagon. I think evans is good enough to excell as a #1 receiver, as long as theres another presence around, and vernon davis has the ability to be a great te, in the class of gates and gonzalez.
  15. I like Manny Lawson but he's a lb at the nfl level. I believe he's listed at only 241, and the most he's ever weighed is 247. I'm still not a big Vernon Davis fan, but yeah he's a beast. However he was labeled as a workout warrior so this isn't all that suprising.
  16. maurice drew is about 25-30lbs heavier then sproles. They're nothing alike
  17. Depending what we do in free agency I wouldn't mind maurice drew. I think he can become a starter in the nfl, but even if he doesn't, he's an upgrade over shaud williams and would a good change of pace back.
  18. If we had more cap room I'd be hoping to get abraham. When Healthy he's argubaly a top 5 pass rusher in this league. There are serious questions about his attitude, and heart. Like when he sat out of the 2004 playoffs with an "injury". When he wants to, he can be dominating, but you cant overlook his character questions. Will he stay motivated and excell or be an annoyance and detrimental to the team? His talent is top notch, but in this case I'll reluctantly pass.
  19. Bills | Team will meet with Ngata Sat, 25 Feb 2006 15:41:15 -0800 During his NFL Combine interview, Oregon DT Haloti Ngata said he will meet with the Buffalo Bills at the Combine. Ngata said he has seen himself projected as going to the Bills. He added it would be cool to play with Bills DT Sam Adams and to learn from him.
  20. I'd like to add an Ian Scott for depth at dt, but our #1 target should be bentley.
  21. to say eric king is fine at nickel back is grasping at straws. Billsfanforever19 is right. We are getting a little too line happy here. yes games are won and lost in the trenches but you also need skill players. Our safeties are old. King and Greer are still question marks but with potential. We need to find safeties to eventually replace a vincent and milloy. There a few safeties in this draft worth looking at. Edit- Not to mention we're also in need of depth at lb. Takeo Spikes return from injury is a big question mark, although I'm hopeful, and our depth behind fletcher/spikes/crowell is weak. Stamer and Haggan have proven nothing other then being good on st's. An eventual replacement for fletcher is also probably needed.
  22. Yes I do. Players have a right to find ways to get more money. NFL contracts are not guranteed money, and the pct of nfl players who actualy see any significant money is relativly slim. It is in the best interest of the players to look out for themselves. The Revenue the league generates is huge, players should be entitled to more. They're what make the game possible in the 1st place. The main problem for the players is • Neither side can agree on the percentage of total revenues that will go to the players. Upshaw wouldn't elaborate on where the numbers were in the negotiations, but he has publicly said he wants a percentage number in the sixties. Reportedly, the sides are four percent apart but that number wasn't discussed by Upshaw. "We want to have a higher percentage," Upshaw said. "We want more dollars to come into the system." How significant is the percentage differential? Upshaw said each percentage point is worth $2 million of cap room per team early in any CBA agreement, $2.5 million in the middle and $2.9 million in the end. So Players basically want total team cap room to increase, which would make it easier for teams to keep their good players, without getting rid of the salary cap, but yeah I'm sure it's still the players fault. • The NFLPA won't agree to any type of CBA extension that doesn't have a new revenue sharing plan in the future. The differences between the high and lower revenue sharing teams have grown as much as $100 million dollars. The league owners aren't close on any revenue sharing deal among themselves, and Upshaw considers that something the union would never accept in a new deal without revised revenue sharing. It's basically all on the owners to sort out their differences before the NFLPA can even come into play.
  23. I'm hoping they look at Charlie Whitehurst, but I like croyle as well.
  24. Willie Mcginnest is really old. I'd rather get a de in the draft, or go after a proven commidity in free agency like a raheem brock or darren howard. I'm also not sure how mcginnest would fit a cover 2 system. He's good in a 3-4, but I think a lot of that is the pats defensive system.
