  1. RJOSEPH IS MY NEW FAVORITE POSTER. WILLIS 4 MVP
  2. total garbage- sf qb alex smith deciding whether or not to be put into the recycle bin - jp losman I think that would be a more accurate descrpition of losman so far. He's been far from good, but he had some potential that just maybe you'll decide to hold onto him.
  3. To add something else. Football is a sport predominately played by young black males. The majority of whom probably listen to rap music. While happening to like rap music I dislike that song. The saying goes if you dont like something don't listen to it. There's a volume control on youtube just turn it down and watch the video without the music. With that said I didn't find LA's post to be racist, like someone else stated it was more tongue in cheek refrence to the words in the song. A little classless probably but I wont label him a racist. Too much sh-- these days is misconstrued as racism, to just be throwing around labels like that.
  4. So how about those highlites?
  5. usually when you run 60 yards untouched you're not slow. I've seen the run and he burned right by a pretty fast safety in dexter jackson. Man you people are picky. First it was "well he cant break long runs" now "it's he looks slow doing it" He looks faster then he did in 04 at least what I've seen so far, but watch most backs his size and they appear slower then they actually are. Take Larry Johnson for instance. He doesnt look fast at all, but he can break some runs. Its the running style that makes it appear slow but it's not "slow" at all.
  6. meh I dont see how Bledsoes done nothing to lose his job in dallas. Pretty stupid to justify that move based off one preseason game. Sounds like pure speculation from the media. Creating a controversy that isn't really there.
  7. Kevin Barlow is a good stop gap guy, good when hes sharing carries with someone but hes not a good starting rb. When hes been the main guy he's been fairly pedestrian, when he shares carries he can be effective. Considering the other option for the jets of trading for TJ Duckett, Barlow was by far a better move.
  8. It still says browns/philly for tuesday 12 noon on my dtv guide
  9. I wont argue the case that willis is better. That would be dumb, but sds line was not worse then ours. in 2002 yes our line ranked statistically better then sd's but since then they have better upfront then us. With that said. The oline is as much of an adequate excuse as the mularkey package and lack of a passing game. The reason tomlinsons stats are so "exciting" is because schotenheimmer has this novel concept of getting the ball into his hands. I know its crazy but when you give your playmakers a chance to make plays it usually works out well. Im yet to be convinced by the oline, but other then that. Whoever the qb is will have to make plays, cause most rb's will be pedestrian when they're faced with 8-9 man fronts. LT can atest to that he has 2 seasons of sub 4 ypc. The difference like I said is finding more ways to get the ball into Willis's hands. The one spot though where Willis can say hes better then LT,is LT's problem with fumbles 11 in his first 2 years 22 total. Willis 5 in his first 2 years. 4 in 04 only 1 last season. I stress once again. You find ways to get willis out in space and dont hinder his game to try to make him jerome bettis and he'll make things happen.
  10. Emmitt Smith never gets enough credit for being the player he was. Emmitt was the dallas offense. The whole thing revolved around him. If emmitt didnt go the cowboys didnt go it was as simple as that, and I think people forget that emmitt wasn't too shabby a receiver out of the backfield particularly in the early part of his career. 7 straight seasons with over 40 receptions From the 91-97 seasons. He was also a td machine scoring 108 regular season tds rush/rec and in the playoffs he was just nasty having the most rushing tds in the post season 19 and being 2nd all time tied with our very own TT with 21 total. Jerry Rice is 1st with 22 post season scores. Barry Sanders may have been far more exciting then Emmitt but Emmitt was a better pure rb then Barry.
  11. This is actually a valid point. We know guys like Willis and Lee fletcher, schobel, spikes and some others are virtual locks at their positions. I think it would be the right course to let the other backs get time with the 1st unit, whether its atrain gates or shaud, to get an idea of how they perform against other teams 1st string defenses. Id also like to see Ezekial or Watson at mlb with the 1st team defense just to have somewhat of an idea what have at the future for mlb. I understand giving starters reps just to get them ready for the season, but we already know stuff like Losman has a great rapport with each other, what Im more interested in is how is losman connection with other receivers. Evans is great and all but whos gonna be the other threat. I dont know Id just prefer to see some of the depth on this team in positions where the starters are set during preseason games.
  12. I hope they keep coaching him to stay in the pocket and look for plays. Id much rather hope he develops a mcnair approach of looking to make plays passing the ball then to run. I dont want Mike Vick v. 2. I want an actual quaterback
  13. Last time I checked the roster Craig Nall is on the bills, so I'll continue that nonsense and keep on supporting him
  14. The old "Well if you take away the long run" excuse. Willis= RJ let the flogging continue
  15. I just noticed that too but when I looked earlier today it did say bengals @ bills. Hopefully its just an error.
  16. I know what you're getting at but cmon. Is that really a valid comparison to the qb situation?
  17. I agree with this. Let Nall start the next game see how he does then name your starting qb and stick with that guy.
  18. thats a dt marcus lewis, but funny nonetheless
  19. to be fair RECEIVING REC YDS TD LG L. Evans 3 115 1 47 S. Aiken 1 18 0 18 J. Smith 1 15 0 15 L. Gates 3 14 0 9 A. Davis 1 12 0 12 R. Parrish 1 10 0 10 A. Ricard 1 9 1 9 R. Royal 1 8 0 8 D. Shelton 1 -3 0 -3 Other then evans nothing about the wr core stands out.
  20. Nick Setta will find himself with a nfl job for another team that needs a punter
  21. Cant watch the game till tomorrow and I just got in so I missed the pbp, but Im stoked. Seems like Evans and my boy Willis tore sh-- up
  22. I didnt know him personally, but I hope he's found the closure and happiness he long desired. May the gates of paradise be opened for you so can be reunited with your loved ones. R.I.P. Man you will be missed
  23. I was just about to post this. Well he's better then Monty Beisel so I guess that's a plus for the pats. Decent depth at this stage. I dont know what else to say. He's no longer an intimidating lb, but he wont hurt them.
  24. Cincy still has a paper thin defense. Yeah I know they can run up the scoreboard, but they remind me of the chiefs the last few years. Great offense, but their defense just isn't good enough to play up to snuff. Their dline is questionable, bryan robinson, sam adams, thornton, justin smith. We all know Sam Adams penchant for looking like an allstar when he wants to, or being completly irrelevant. Their lbs are plagued by character issues of odell thurman, ahmad brooks and aj nicholson and the current starting unit just doesnt seem like much of anything with pollack/simmons/landon johnson. Their corners while ball hawks are not good cover corners. Madieu Williams is a young improving safety while ss dexter jackson is on the downside of his carrer. I just cant see this unit improving enough to compete for a superbowl. Yes Chris Henry is a tremendous talent, and probably could be a great wr, but I doubt he ever lives up to his potential. He'll probably foul up on his way out the league. Chris Perry is a good receiving back out of the backfield and makes up for the lack of hands that rudi johnson has. Speaking of Rudi Im not really a big fan of his. He just lacks certain elements I look for in great runningbacks. Great pouding it up the gut, but he lacks receiving ability, breakaway speed, and the ability to bounce runs outside. I think hes a lot like jamal lewis, while a good back just lacks that something that makes you think he's great. Still very good though. Theres no denying the offensive talent the bengals have. Enough to make it to the playoffs. I just find it difficult to concede that a team with as many character issues as the bengals a so so head coach, and a thin defense can make a push for the superbowl.
