  1. we techies strive for excellence.
  2. In my opinion he did. When his knee hit the ground that ball was a yard further than where it was spotted by the officials.
  3. That's what Shannon Sharp said. They showed that highlight as being a good play by Buffalo.
  4. just scroll down...
  5. report that aired immediately following our game on Sunday. They showed highlights of our game and when they showed us going for the 4th and 1 that we "missed" Shannon Sharp said "look at that great extra effort by McGahee to stretch out and get the first down. Buffalo went on to score but lost the game by a safety in the 4th quarter." They showed it as a great positive play by McGahee. I decided to watch the play over and over in slow motion, which I hadn't done before, paying extra attention to where the ball was when his knee hit the ground. I know this is beating a dead horse but he clearly had the first. I heard people talk about Fowler getting blown off of the ball which made McGahee fall short but Fowler brought his man to the ground with him. It was the linebacker who caught Willis from behind who made the tackle, but without a doubt, he had that first down.
  6. You don't have any quality safties hanging around by any chance do ya? Good luck!
  7. Wow that was fast. Saw that one coming.
  8. The article attached to this thread claims that Vincent had a career high 102 tackles last year but as far as I can tell he only had 42 tackles. That's a pretty big discrepancy. Odd. Vincent went to the Pro Bowl five consecutive years from 2000-2004 as a cornerback. He's played in 199 NFL games in his career and entered the 2006 season as the NFL leader in interceptions among active players with 47. He tied for the team lead in interceptions in 2005 with four and set a career high with 102 tackles for Buffalo last season.
  9. That, and Wire would probably still have been available. I doubt he would have been picked up as quickly as Baker.
  10. As far as I can tell Leonhard is still available, we should probably pick him up, at least he knows the system.
  11. Peerless in officially the starter as well. I believe last week he was listed behind Josh Reed.
  12. Hopefully not, but maybe this year we get Joe Thomas in the draft. He is the Wisconsin left tackle that many people had us taking in last years draft until a knee injury kept him in school. 6'8" 313 pounds 4.90 40. p.s. I say hopefully not because I believe he will be a top 5 pick, not because I don't want him.
  13. That's it...you're next!
  14. You're not supposed to post that here, you need to start a new Aaron Brooks thread. Yeesh, you'll never learn.
  15. Impressive ain't it?
  16. I have recently discovered an amazing new tool that has greatly facilitated these types of searches. If you look all the way to the right of the window there is a vertical bar that actually moves the screen up and down when you click on it and drag. It saves me several hours a day.
  17. http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=51441 I had to search a while but I found it.
  18. The man was taken to hospital with head injuries. hmmm. which one?
  19. The Wonder Years had a voice-over from a different time period but I don't remember if they actually ever showed the "present time" version of the character.
  20. Um, that's what we do with our #2 CB on kick-offs and that works pretty well for us. As far as Parrish goes, I am still waiting for him to impress me, it just hasn't happened yet.
  21. No it was my kids fault, they kept coming into the room in the 3rd and 4th quarters making too much noise. Once they broke my concentration it was all down hill.
  22. He was not blocked into him IMO. To me it looked as though Moorman was hit by someone who was trying to get to the ball. I felt as though, at least on that play, Moorman was roughed and it was a missed call by the officials. Big surprise.
  23. I disagree. He was completely flattened at least one time which at the very least would be considered running into the kicker. I do not screem <sic> when this happens to us, except to complain that we were foolish enough to do it. There was a much lesser hit in the San Diego game last night that was flagged for 5 yards.
  24. http://www.realfootball365.com/nfl/article...ades120906.html All-Pro punter Brian Moorman shanked a couple of his attempts. In fairness to Moorman, he was roughed on two of his punts but there was somehow no call on either. The officiating deserves more blame than him in those cases. He is also complimentary of the coaches, giving them an A-, and states that if we can beat Miami this week we could be a real contender in the AFC East.
  25. I'm watching the second game now with Jaws and Dick Vermeil. They are doing a great job. Good insight, good color commentary. I wish they would be the permanent Monday night crew.
