Keep in mind the poster did not just pull this criticism out of the air. He was watching a replay of the Bengals game and reacted to it much like many of the posters do here after a game. I am hopeful that Kelsay continues to improve and is the player he has shown he is capable of being in flashes the last couple of seasons.
I was thinking; we have "wide right" "music city miracle" "no goal", a bunch of negative sports catch phrases. Other franchises have "the drive" "immaculate reception" etc. a bunch of positive sports phrases. Are there any tag lines in Buffalo sports that are positive events? I can't think of one. Anyone have one?
A bit later in the show they each had to pick one team in the NFL that was most improved in the off season and one of them chose the Bills. I hope all of this respect translates to the field.
I think this board is underestimating Ellis, Bowen and Corner. I am excited about the potential in this group which is all you can ask for in those rounds. And X-man will be the FB of the future.
By the way, one of the guys with Mayock (Charles?) talked about being at the game when Akron took on Ohio Sate and he was absolutely impressed with corner and believes he will be a solid player in the league. I love getting real analysis instead of a couple of lame jokes about his name on ESPN.
Wingo also called Bowen an offensive lineman, he had obviously never even heard of him before. On the other hand NFLN guys praised it as a great value pick. ESPN draft analysis gets a C- at this point in the draft, I don't care what they say.
He said Bowen will become a good starter in a couple of years but contributr to special teams immediately. Also stated that Corner was a good value and he liked the pick. NFLN is not anti-Buffalo like ESPN and are speaking highly of our draft thus far.
I keep flipping between NFLN and ESPN so I don't remember which one I was one but when we were about to make our second pick, they flashed to Chad Henne sitting on his couch, I screamed NOOO!!!. That was scary.
