  1. How exactly do we all know this? It is pure speculation on your part. Period.
  2. So throwing a ball far is the only indicator of success for a QB?
  3. We lost 6 games last year by one score. If we convert 2 of those this year because of better coaching or better play from some of our key playmakers, then we finish 9-7. Yes, I believe we were talented enough last year to have done better than we did. There is no way of knowing yet if the new system will be better than that of Rex and Rob, but there is definitely reason for optimism. As far as Beane goes, I have heard great things about his ability to evaluate talent, and I am sure he has already started looking at what we currently have, so I hope he is actively involved in the roster creation process.
  4. Can we speculate who he would be sending them to?
  5. So you would rather go 2-14 to get a "franchise QB" rather than go 10-6 and make the playoffs with the talent already on the roster? I can not get onboard with that. I am hoping our new system gets enough out of this years roster so that next years draft is adding to the vision already in place.
  6. Peter Schrager on Good Morning Football this morning was praising the Brandon Beane hiring and said that he is widely considered one of the best scouting minds in the NFL. The more I hear, the more excited I get about this hire.
  7. Not really. Peterman was not the pick that is tied to the Chiefs trade. The real question will be how Tre White does and what we do with the extra first round pick next year.
  8. ugh, so sad. Prayers to CB.
  9. Isn't it possible/ likely, that they had this particular combo in mind for some time, but they had to get the coach first to allow him time to get started before the draft? They may have wanted Beane with him all along but had to wait to pull the trigger until after the draft?
  10. Sorry, too many people around here making ridiculous comments, it broke my sarcasm filter. In my defense, others took it for genuine negativity as well.
  11. Which is why change is neccesary. So your theory is that the Bills suck because people hate being Bills fans? We are one of the most loyal fan bases in the NFL, no big surprise that there are vocal, negative fans on a team message board. You were right the first time... People from Boston are bad.
  12. True, and if we had dragged things out for too long, there is always the fear that they make him an offer he can't refuse.
  13. We often post the listings for outgoing Coaches, Players and Gm's. If you are not interested, skip the thread.
  14. He apparently lives in Jacksonville, so that stacks the deck against us. The good news is he probably already knows Beane from his time in Carolina.
  15. To everyone saying that Beane has no experience, I disagree. I consider guys like Elway and Lynch to be candidates with no experience (before they were hired). Beane is an NFL front office veteran with experience in nearly every facet of running an NFL franchise. Much lower risk than say, handing your franchise to Peyton Manning, or some other ex player. I understand that some feel there may have been other "more qualified" candidates out there, but in my opinion, we got a young, competitive up and comer with plenty of hands on training and experience already under his belt.
  16. thats great! Glad that you enjoy basketball so much. Best that you free up your seats to let real fans watch the game anyways.
  17. So you want to intentionally hate on the guy because you don't think Whaley was given a fair chance? Odd.
  18. I believe starting tomorrow, May 10, teams can start signing FA's without affecting next years compensatory picks. So I am guessing we will see some activity very soon.
  19. i am sure aristocrat manor has many rooms available.
  20. you say Beane accomplished nothing but an NFL "insider" a few posts above says his finger prints were all over multiple successful drafts. I'll go with his assessment over yours.
  21. been lying in the weeds waiting to pounce.
  22. Cool can I stay at your house when I come for the game in September? Sounds like you have the space.., 😃
  23. Over a year ago Peter Schrager named Beane a top 5 GM candidate in the entire NFL. We should be celebrating landing an up and coming Talent who happens to also have a strong relationship with our new Head Coach. ... Peter Schrager of Fox Sports Quote 5. Brandon Beane, assistant general manager, Carolina Panthers In three years as general manager, Dave Gettleman has done a marvelous job transforming the Panthers from an afterthought into an NFL powerhouse. His right-hand man is Beane, a 38-year-old Panthers lifer. Beane pre-dated Gettleman but was so valued within the organization that he kept his scouting job and even had it expanded once Gettleman took over for Marty Hurney in 2013. Carolina's last few drafts are loaded with home runs, and Beane's fingerprints are all over them.
