He has replaced them with players like Gaines and Matthews and is stockpiling picks for the next couple of drafts to build the team his way. Can't judge him solely on this years roster that he inherited for the most part.
I disagree. Cincy is a decent team. They will keep getting better as the season progresses. We knew this would be a close game and it was. Don't over-react.
The good news is, we are building a team with the "next man up" mentality instead of a player centric system. I'm not saying all the pieces are in place yet, but we appear to be less dependent on individual players than in the recent past. It at least makes me hopeful.
Good question. I was at the game last week and when Zay made a catch all the Bills fans around me cheered the same way you do for a kicker that misses 3 FG's and finally makes an extra point. But I said at the time that I felt like something clicked in him, like he and Tyrod are starting to get on the same page. That coupled with the feeling he will step up when needed the most, leads me to believe he will make a positive statement this week.
I would not say great. Their defense was solid most of the game but that seemed to be in part because Tampa was afraid to take shots down field. As soon as they opened things up in the 4th quarter, the defense started softening up and giving chunk plays like they had all year. Tampa SHOULD have won that game last night.
On a separate note, not sure if you heard Romo last night when you were listening, but I really appreciated his energy and the insight he provided. He was pretty even in his analysis and not one sided, like many of the commentators on Pats* games.
Buy - I am buying Zay Jones. I think he will be breaking out this week and after this Sunday his price will go up dramatically.
Hold - I will hold the secondary. They have been getting a lot of deserved attention and will deliver on the expectation again this week.
Sell - Time to sell Mike Tolbert. I am anticipating (hoping) we might start seeing a bit more Taiwan Jones, or maybe even Banyard, as the season progresses.
