  1. No it is not. wait, what were we talking about?
  2. Yes, but it’s not the droids your looking for.
  3. I’m sure you’re both having a good laugh. Just kidding
  4. Money alone? No. There are lots a teams that max out the salary cap but under-perform. (I’m looking at you Jaguars) that being said, we have a solid core of young talent on this team and the addition a the right free agents, along with another solid draft, can and hopefully will, build the foundation of a team built to make a solid run at the playoffs and beyond for the next several years.
  5. So I saw a story on ESPN last night that the Redskins had considered Kaepernick at QB but were probably going to go in a different direction. All I could think was "please sign Peterman instead!" What a statement that would be if they determine he is the better option of the 2.
  6. Lauderdale converted from TE half way through college, so he is obviously raw. Good size at 6'6" 300 pounds. Please be the next Jason Peters. From a write up on Niners site back in July: Why he might succeed in the NFL He’s remarkably athletic and has a significant potential upside due to his size and recent switch to the offensive line. Despite recently having added 20 pounds to reach NFL size, he showed great speed and quickness at his Pro Day. Keeping in mind that Pro Day results often seem inflated compared to the Combine, Lauderdale’s 3 Cone time of 7.27 was faster than any at the Combine, and his 40-yard dash time of 4.94 would have been second best. https://www.ninersnation.com/2017/7/23/16000544/49ers-roster-breakdowns-90-in-90-ot-andrew-lauderdale-jeremy-zuttah
  7. No. Already announced that there will be no suspension.
  8. Holy crap. The Jags should change to that color scheme immediately.
  9. If the throw is designed to be thrown to a spot then he needs to keep his head forward and get close to that spot before he looks for the ball. It is like in baseball where they say to turn and run under the ball before you turn back and track it. It is hard to believe something simple like raining your glove or looking back too soon can slow you down, but it does. That being said, it is a lower percentage play that takes chemistry between the receiver and QB to accomplish. Hopefully, that is being developed as we speak.
  10. So just business as usual for Hughes then, because they always seem to pay a little extra attention to him. (unless he is being held, then they ignore it)
  11. You guys definitely seem to be under-achieving based on the talent on your roster. You were due for a coaching change. Jim Harbaugh?
  12. I knew I believed this to be true the day they put Benjamin on the hands team for an onside kick and I questioned why he was out there because he can't catch. I was not being glib, I literally feared he would drop the ball if it came to him. That is not good.
  13. I can see the conversation that lead to Andre Holmes release right now McDermott addressing the team: “Does anyone here believe Kelvin deserves to be on this team?” <Holmes raises his hand to support his fellow receiver> McDermott: “OK, Benjamin and Holmes are both released. Does anyone else believe Benjamin deserves to be on this team?” <crickets>
  14. I guess they had to send a message. Other players surely noticed the lack of effort and wondered why nothing was done about it. I like the move.
  15. Winning is great, but smart fans know that this season was never really about making the play-offs, it was about finding out if we have a franchise QB. We do. Mission accomplished. Now let's be competitive next season and make some REAL progress.
  16. Now I remember why I loved that show as a kid. ?
  17. Finally, an election I can get behind. I voted, where's my sticker?
  18. Agreed. He is a very good rotational player when available.
  19. Very true. I loved the play where Josh put a quick move on him and just kind of tossed him aside when he bit on the fake.
  20. I would equate free throws with field goals. The “routine” and the repeatable mechanics matter more. General passing is closer to taking a shot in hoops.
  21. No way he is still there in the 3rd. I would love the Bills to get him but 2nd would probably be the latest he is available. He will probably go in the first due to lack of first round Offensive talent.
