    You say ugh, but this is a one year prove it deal. That means no one who knows him, including our coach and GM, were willing to commit long term. I am going to trust that this means they were not convinced this would be a good move for the Bills.

    I cannot see this actually happening, and if it did it is a pure luxury move, but damn would it change the team. If we were to get Bell, fix the Oline and add a receiver or 2 in the draft? Damn!

    Do not downplay the importance of taxes. I have heard many times that free agents prefer states like Florida where there is no state income tax.That is also why some of the agents are negotiating bigger salaries in the second year with the Raiders. No state income tax next year in Vegas.

    Exactly! He loves all of this attention. A hold out only keeps him in the news, which he loves.

    He is trying to dictate where he goes by refusing to sign with teams he doesn’t want to play for. This will ultimately mean the Steelers will either need to eventually accept less in a trade for a team he will “approve” or keep his contract and deal with eventual hold out. He currently has them over a barrel as long as he is ok not playing this season. (Which he claims he is.)

    Yup. This is exactly what I believe happened as well. It would’ve been great to have him, especially if the cost wasn’t too high, but if he doesn’t want to be here, move on.

    I know, But it is more fun to imagine him finding ways to increase his height instead. I remember there was a sumo wrestler who had collagen injected into the top of his head to meet the minimum height requirement. Maybe that is what Murray did…

    I don’t think I’ve ever seen a guy make so much money because he’s a couple inches taller than people thought he was. The only reason he didn’t do any other drills is because it is hard to move around with 2 inches of collagen injected into the bottom of your feet. ?
