  1. Funny, I was just thinking, if they go 0-7 to start the season, Gase may not last the year as head coach. That team will take on the personality of it's coach, which is erratic and inconsistent at best, which means they will self destruct under pressure. Hopefully, if he does get fired, he leaves them in shambles like he did with the Fins. LOL. and so it begins...
  2. I am really curious to see how good their Defense really is. Two QB's who had really big days last week, Dak Prescott and Lamar Jackson, seemed to be boosted by playing against relatively bad Defenses in week 1. I don't think either are quite as good as they looked in their first games. I am guessing this will show itself to be true over the next few weeks, when they regress and other QB's have big days against those Defenses. Not saying they are bad, just not quite as good as their opponents made them look.
  3. My hope for this game is that we beat them so badly, that the Giants fans start chanting for Daniel Jones somewhere around the 3rd quarter. Leave them in turmoil, just like we did with the Jets.
  4. You missed your opportunity to say “house”.
  5. He had already seen it and responded. Basically said, I’m glad I ended up in Buffalo.
  6. When Kimberly Jones discussed it on NFLN, she said that he said it in a way that appeared to be a dis. She said she waited a few minutes and then asked a clarifying question to give him an opportunity to walk it back, but he did not. She said the implication was that they felt maybe someday he would be good enough to start in the NFL, not that he would make an immediate impact or be a viable QB right out of the gate. Coaches usually kill their opponents with kindness in the press conferences leading up to game day, which is why his comments seemed a bit odd.
  7. I got a notice that this was my final free article, so that is why there is a discrepancy. There is a limited number of free articles before you are asked to subscribe.
  8. When they talked about Shurmur's comments on NFLN, they definitely made it sound like Shurmur was dissing Allen. Hopefully added motivation for Allen to make him eat his words.
  9. Great article, thanks for sharing. It is amazing to see how easy it is to continue sliding down a slippery slope once you make a few bad decisions. He is blessed that he had a skill to fall back on that rewards ability and performance and often allows employers to forgive past discretions if you have the ability and change your behavior. He appears to be making the most of his second chance which I respect very much.
  10. wow, that is a bummer. I like him as a player and hope he is ok. Maybe the Jets can get another QB with the #1overall pick next year like the Cardinals did. Of course they will have competition from the Fish.
  11. Not as long as there is a chance that he can pay her off and make this go away. If it was a criminal case and he could not buy his way out of it as easily, they might be forced to release him. I just hope the media fall out distracts them to the point it affects their performance on the field.
  12. Exactly! He would have had 287 check down targets. He could have set the all time reception record.
  13. Hard to argue with any of these as of right now. Good evaluation. I personally think the Colts will end up as Contenders when the smoke clears, but I get your hesitation.
  14. Belicheck must need a corner, so he ordered his disciple to release Colvin so the Patriots* could sign him.
  15. They should just play without a kicker and keep going for 2. (but they did sign a new kicker today)
  16. Trade within the division usually means the player is on his last legs. (I'm lookin at you, Bledsoe)
  17. Well, it is kind of fresh, since I just found out about it, but I think I can force myself to let it go and move on. Here's to hoping our seemingly endless quest for a competent TE is finally over. It already is unanimous. He made fun of our hotels.
  18. I agree. I am definitely not hating on him for the decision, I was just surprised I never heard that before. He didn't say it as a dig on Buffalo by the way. Cowherd made the statement that AB had no control over being traded to the Raiders and Gonzalez used the Buffalo example to say that some players, like him and AB, can control where they go in a trade. He was basically saying if Brown didn't want to go to Oakland in the first place, he could have said no.
  19. I just heard Tony Gonzalez on radio with Colin Cowherd. He was talking about AB and mentioned that when he went from KC to Atlanta, the Bills tried to get him to come there but he declined. That is the first I have heard of that. Was that common knowledge?
  20. Oh good. It usually gets entertaining when the wives chime in.
  21. not to mention special teams.
  22. I don't think this article "sugar coats" anything. The point he makes is primarily that Allen remained composed and did not let the mistakes get the best of him. Even though it was frustrating to watch as it was happening, it did not feel like the EJ Manuel turn-over-a-thon we have previously witnessed. I am glad to see we are able to over come some adversity and still keep the train on the tracks.
  23. I absolutely love hearing this. Go Bills!! Way to represent.
