It just felt different today
buffaloboyinATL replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I will neither confirm nor deny... No doubt. I felt relaxed and could enjoy their company more. Strange but true. -
Please excuse my LAMP moment, not normally my style, but worth it today. It was a great day for football today, and to me, this game just felt different. It was my birthday today and my family, wife, daughter (10) and 2 sons( 16,17) hung out with me watching the game. Normally, they check in with me throughout the game, listen to my excuses as to why I think we are playing better than the score reflects, feign interest, and go on with their day. But today, they actually watched the game and got excited about how well the Bills were actually playing. No faking to keep me happy, they were generally enjoying the heroics displayed by Josh Allen and company and cheering for the Bills. But much more than that, I was able to push through one superstition after another, things that I used to blame for the team losing their momentum, without getting nervous or losing confidence. Kids coming and going during the game? No problem. Son side tracking the conversation from the game to something he heard at school? Unfazed. Discussion about the commercials when the game comes back on? Still confident. Friend texting about ending the "wide right" curse during the 3rd quarter? I'm in, let's talk about it. Today, I felt like the team has gotten good enough that I can relax and have faith that they know what they are doing and have the skill to win or at least not beat themselves. My family hung out and watched the game with me, cheering out of actual appreciation, rather than empathy and we all had fun watching the Bills play at a high level and make the city of Buffalo, and our many fans throughout the globe, proud. I am hoping this lasts, because the feeling of confidence during a game, definitely makes the game more enjoyable. GO BILLS!

They had to make adjustments for lane integrity, it slowed down Barkley, but eliminated some of the edge pressure. Turned out to be a beneficial adjustment.

Beasley had a clutch catch on a rocket from Allen that was already past him when he snagged it. Awesome catch. -

Week Two: Bills at Giants
buffaloboyinATL replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LOL. Yeah, cuz the Jets are the team who was gonna threaten the Pats* this year. What a dumbass. Like I stated earlier in the thread. I am hoping that they start chanting for Daniel Jones during this game and we leave the Giants organization in disarray, just like we did with the Jets. -
Astro's 2020 Mock Draft-September Edition
buffaloboyinATL replied to OldTimeAFLGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That looks like it would be a great draft based on what I know about these players and our needs at this time. -
That would be the best case scenario. Would love to see the Browns lose to a back up QB on Monday Night Football.
-
More likely that the Fins take QB with the #1 pick and Jets trade for Rosen.
-
Now if only Belichick would retire and the Pats* would hire Gase...

With Monday night games like this, I'm ok if DirectTV loses ESPN. ?
