I think that would be a good start to the Willis era at RB. I think you are going to see a much different team in 2005 with Willis and J.P in there instead of the Dump Truck and Bledsoe. I could see us averaging in the mid 20's in points per game next year which would be good enough to win with the defense we have. We need to add some lineman though to help Willis and J.P next year. J.P however is more apt to take off running when the blocking breaks down so we would see more positive plays which disguises the poor line play sometimes.

I know this and have known it for a long time. I just think something needs changed about it. I would have been able to accept the old system where it was just handed to each league every other year better then I understand this crap of giving it out in an all star game. -

Wrong. That's why the Wild Card system isn't perfect. The NBA is the only league that has their home court advantage perfectly set up. There are two (now 3 division) in each conference. They go completely by record. If the Pacers win their division with a 51-21 record and Philly gets second in their division with a 55-27 record and they meet in the playoffs Philly gets the HCA. I also don't like the Wild Card not playing a team in the first round because they are from the same division, that shouldn't matter. -
If you've been to a lot of football venues.....

Of the ones I've went to. 1. Buffalo - It just has the best tailgating around, period. 2. Cleveland- I have been to both the old and new stadium, the new one isn't set up that great for tailgating, but their fans make it work, the stadium is great. 3. Cincy- I haven't been to the new one, but the atmosphere at Riverfront was good. (The following two suck) 4. Indy- Dingy, boring. Tailgating sucks there too. 5. Detroit- The Silverdome (not the new field) was the absolute worst place for an NFL game, the parking was horrid, the fans were boring, and the Silverdome was the worst NFL stadium I've been to. I have been to the Vet for Phillies games, but I won't count that. -
Then why didn't you suit up for Drew??? Anybody that slept at the Holiday Inn the night before a game could do better than him.

We do have a hefty team salary, I won't debate that, but even ours at upwards of 100 million doesn't compare to 130 million or 180 million. Imagine how high the Yankees payroll is going to be NEXT year. I bet over 200 million. -
If he's not 100 percent I'd like to see him at 100 percent considering how badly he has outplayed dump truck Henry.

Thank you Cindy. I'm glad you finally said it.

It's about time, the Travis Henry era is OVER!!!! Now we just need to get the J.P era started.

Exactly, I'm not really "whining" I'm just pointing out a fact. As you said, Boston fans are the first to "whine" about the Yankees payroll when their own payroll is higher then the other 30 teams besides NY. It's all fun and good when it works in your favor, I don't know, I'm just a big fan of a team earning their homefield advantage. That's just me though. -

I think they are the best team in baseball. Homefield is an advantage for any team. Minnesota in 1987 is a great example. My whole point is, why even bother to play for the best record when it doesn't mean stevestojan? -

If I could pull up the posts from July when the All Star game was going on I could show you that I had just as much problem with it then as I do now. It's just not the right way to determine home field advantage. I also hate interleague play as well. -

The following players need to be let go
BF_in_Indiana replied to BF_in_Indiana's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I obviously understand that we can't get rid of all of these guys. These are just guys that I think we would benefit by cutting. Moulds could be cut in the offseason to make cap space for the future. What's the sense of keeping him? He is on the other side of 30 and is eating a big chunk of cap space up. If he would redo his deal I'm all for keeping him, he's been a great Buffalo Bill and good in the community. I just don't like his price right now. Bledsoe needs to go, we don't need him as a starter and surely don't want him as a backup. He can't handle that at this stage in his career. Next year would be the year to cut him, the third year of his new deal is when things start getting tough. Kelsay has shown me little. He's just a poor mans Schobel who is a poor mans (inster name here). -

It's funny that the Red Sox fans here think that this homefield advantage "rule" is fair. What would they think if it was working against their team??? I'm sure they wouldn't like it. It's always easy to say you like something when it favors you. I have a feeling I wouldn't be hearing this if the situation was reversed. I know my guys aren't doing it when it counts right now, but that doesn't mean I have to like the injustice that has been done to my team. I said the same thing about this situation all year, it's not right, nor will it be right until the team with the best record gets homefield advantage. That would be like awarind homefield in the NFL playoffs to the team that finishes 9-7. What sense does that make? -

Keep making excuses to justify your team having homefield advantage. You know it's not right and has never been right. -

That's fine. You can do that every year, I would rather have a shot at winning. Typical Pirates fan though. You guys are just like Cub fans. You have the losers attitude. -

You liked the idea about just letting everyone into a tourney and flipping coins for homefield? LOL. I just think the impact of playing 162 games is minimized when a team that finished almost 10 games worse then the Cardinals has homefield because Roger Clemens got shelled in a meaningless all star game.
