  1. 1980 what? T if you are going to try to find a new team to chant for since you can't do it to Boston anymore, at least get the year right. Maybe you want to chant to Phillies fans? They are almost as bad as a lot of Chokees fans. I love how a fan of a team that just completed the biggest CHOKE in sports history will come bash a fan of a team that lost a series no one will remember in 5 years. They will remember the 2004 CHOKEES forever!!!!!
  2. What would you call Torre then? 'El Chokee?
  3. Congratulations, may you put the last 86 years behind you!!!!
  4. You think I should be throwing things or something? I guess I probably would if I was a fan of a team that blew a 3-0 series lead to their most bitter rival. I'm not though, so I won't. Stupid Chokees fan.
  5. Honestly I'm totally fine right now. It's a lot easier to take when you were NEVER even in it. It's not like it's game 7.
  6. Let me explain something to those of you on the short bus. This year I'm happy to just be there because we weren't picked to do much. If I were a Yankees fan, then you would be correct, anything less then a World Series win would be unacceptable. For most teams in baseball however, 200 million is not an option payroll wise and we take what we can get when we can get it. Loveable losers? Check your facts stupid ass, we have 9 World Championships and now we have 16 league championships. We are hardly the Cubs pal.
  7. The Yankees don't scare anyone anymore. I'm sorry to break it to you, but their mystique has been totally shattered this year. They can keep spending and spending, but they won't get it right. They haven't put the right guys on the field in like 6 years.
  8. The Cardinals would do well in the A.L I'm being totally honest, this team has not played this bad ALL YEAR. Even at the beginning of the year when we struggled we didn't look this bad. It's dissapointing, but it just wasn't our time yet. I have a feeling you will see the Cardinals in the World Series again very soon, maybe next year.
  9. 12 more outs until the biggest party in Boston history. St. Louis was DOA at this years World Series. I look forward to a good run from the Cards though, this is the start of another Cardinals Dynasty.
  10. Actually of all my teams the Bills are the one team that I would NEVER get ahead of myself with. We just have that losing mystique that until I saw us win it, I couldn't talk crap about it.
  11. Well Cardinals fans have class, they haven't figured out what that is in most of the New England region. Maybe that's why he gives our fans a D-. They don't act like !@#$s.
  12. That's probably your best bet. You can keep the beer down that way. If you actually have to view the carnage inside you might have trouble keeping everything down.
  13. Do you guys think they will even get 40,000 in the stands Sunday? I think by the end of the year it will look like 1984.
  14. They are a good story, I'm just sick and tired of hearing it. If I wasn't a Cardinals fan, I'm not sure I would even know that the Cardinals were in it.
  15. If that happened I think the entire New England region would go into the biggest depression ever. You thought it was bad when Bill Buckner missed that "little roller behind the bag". I can only imagine the result of a collapse like that. Alas it's not going to happen this time. They've finally done it.
  16. Yeah, they sure will. .
  17. Yeah the World Series hasn't been much fun, but the ride to it was.
  18. You want to know what everyone? Yes I'm still on cloud 9. You want to know why? This team surpassed every one of my expectations. Unlike the Buffalo Bills of the last few years, they showed heart on the field. When the chips were down at different points in the season they came out and prevailed in tough situations. They gave me memories that will last a lifetime as a sports fan. Jim Edmonds home run in Game 6 against Houston was just an extension of what this team has been about all year. They never quit, and they never gave in. I've never been so excited in my life as when Womack scooped up the grounder and tossed it to Pujols to send us to the World Series. And best of all, I got to enjoy it with my dad. That is something that you people can never trash no matter how hard you want to try. Thanks and have a good day.
  19. That's why the Marlins won the series last year right? And the Diamondbacks in 2001? The N.L is horrible!!!! Get a clue. I don't mind intelligent talk, but this is garbage.
  20. Man you really got me wondering now!!! JUST LOSE ALREADY CARDINALS SO I CAN SEE THE QUESTION!!!! Just joking.
  21. Actually mine is good and bad. St. Louis won the N.L Pennant The Bills lost Notre Dame lost The Cards went down 0-3 in the World Series Good thing St. Louis did something for me in the NLCS or I would be really bumming.
  22. Who's the best team in baseball? Two fold.........the Cardinals for the first 6 months of the season, and the Red Sox for the last two weeks
  23. I firmly believe that if St. Louis had won that first game coming from 7-2 down we could be looking at a VERY different series, maybe even with St. Louis up 3-0. Alas we didn't and are down 3-0. I'm proud of my 2004 Cardinals. I'm glad I made the trip down to Cincy on the spur of the moment this summer and got to see a pennant winning Cardinals team play baseball in person.
  24. Do it for Billy Buckner!!!!! JUST BOOT IT!!!! LOL I had to
  25. Well with this list of blunders by St. Louis I don't see things turning around. Here's BF's list of "What went wrong in the 2004 World Series." Rolen pops up in a tie game with the bases loaded and one out in the 8th. LaRussa starts Morris on 3 days rest with no need to do so. St. Louis can't take advantage of 8 erros in TWO GAMES by Boston. The Cardinals blow a bases loaded and one out situation again in the first inning of game 3. Jeff Suppan makes the stupidest baserunning error I've ever seen. 14 walks in the first two games allowed by St. Louis. Cardinals allow multiple Sox rallies with 2 outs and no one on. I think that about sums it up.
