Help with where to sit please?
BF_in_Indiana replied to TakeMeToManos's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well the end zones are good when the action is coming your way, when they are going away from you it sucks. 338 is a pretty good view of the field but I imagine you will be sitting pretty high up. I would probably go with the end zone. -
This is how pathetic we have become

Lots of confidence in Drew here Lots of Bills love here Yet more love for our 1-5 team So you see, it's not just me. I think this years edition of the Bills sucks. Does that mean I'm not a fan of the Bills? -

Why on earth would you single me out for a post like this? There are tons of posts like this daily. I think I will go pull some up for you to cherish right now. -

Any kids coming? If there are kids coming the end zones are not a good idea. 338 is not a horrible section. Too bad you don't need just 3, I would sell you my 3 for under face value. -
Thanks Paco. I think Arizona will win this game today. The Bills are just that bad.

I'm watching Sunday Ticket and they are showing the Cardinals pregame show. They did an analysis of the game and at the end said "On paper this looks like a Cardinals victory.". When the ARIZONA CARDINALS start talking about a victory on paper, that shows you what they think of our team. I'm so disgusted.

We won't get close enough to score anyways. Glad I'm not going.

"You are out of line calling the Yankees Chokees....." No I'm not, they choked to the highest extent of choking. Would you disagree? "I felt sorry for the fans who boasted about being the best team in baseball..." Why? We don't even feel sorry for ourselves. We know we had a great season and a bad 4 game stretch to end it. We get to add another N.L Pennant to our long history. Do the Yankees? "Congrats to the Sox for a great post season....you can't take anything away from them.....but, they were primed for a WS letdown after beating the Yankees....any sort of effort would have pushed the series to 6-7 games." Did you watch the World Series? Seriously, did it look to you like Boston was flat for even ONE SECOND of the World Series? They were as hot as you could get. As far as "any sort of effort could have pushed it to 6 or 7 games" goes, you think these guys aren't trying? I'm sure they got there and decided they didn't want to put an effort into winning it. That statement is stupid. "Sox fans were laughing at that Cardinals pitching staff.....LaRussa looked like a manager in his first WS....." Dave Duncan and Tony have already stated they will be looking for a couple new quality pitchers this offseason. Matt Morris won't be resigned and Woody Williams will probably be gone or retire if we don't resign him after we decline his option. As far as Tony goes, I didn't think he managed all that well in the World Series, but he's not the one hitting the ball or running the bases or pitching. The players win games on the field. It's obvious he knows what he is doing, he's been to 4 World Series as a manager now. He's lost 3 but it's still tough to get there. Just ask Marv Levy. "btw....you would think a team who looked like they were destined for a WS appearance might pick up a hitter who would do well in the DH role in the American league venue" Not everyone has the budget NY and Boston do. An N.L team can't just go get a guy like Ortiz that can't play defense and sit him on the bench waiting for the World Series.

All time World Series titles. Yankees-26 Cardinals-9 A's-9 Red Sox-6 I just hate seeing people forget about the A's. A lot of people forget about their 9 titles.

You won't see another Bills game this year mom unless you are there. I've got Jets tickets too.......

Oh there are definately a lot of jerks from Boston, but over the last week I have seen Yankees fans act like absolute babies. I've never seen a group of fans try to piss on someones parade like the Yankees fans this last week have done to Boston. It was easy for me to congratulate Boston and their fans, they have a great team that I admire and their fans were very classy with me throughout the series. Losing the World Series sucks, but if I had a choice of who to lose it to I would pick this years Red Sox team.

You just keep telling yourself that. I guarantee you were more upset then I was. It's tough to get poed when you don't ever grab the lead in any game. When you blow a 3-0 lead to your biggest rival however, that is cause for pure anger. Try to lie about it all you want, you know it's not true. They are chanting Yankees Suck because the Yankees and a good portion of their fans deserve it. They have acted like jerks for years, and now Boston is having their revenge.

I saw them at OZZFEST in 2000. They were alright, but they didn't fit the show at all. There were lots of boos and whatnot.
-
At least we aren't the Chokees.

I am watching the parade. I love hearing "Yankees Suck." I never get tired of that.

I've got news for you. We lost 4 Super Bowls before O.J stabbed anyone. -
And at the end of every Sunday you have heartburn.

The World Series (for as bad as it was) was the highest rated in 5 years. -
I don't feel good about this game, nor do I feel good about any game left on our schedule. Once Drew is benched I will feel better. Willis is a step in the right direction, but Drew is still in there.

Us Cardinals fans love Terry Pendleton. He played on a couple of our World Series teams. Then he had a great year in Atlanta in '91 and won the MVP. He was a good ballplayer. -

Well I don't think we would sign him, but I think his numbers in Philly have more to do with a bad team around him then they do Leo. Leo is a great pitching coach, don't get me wrong at all, but the same thing happened to Darryl Kile. He was great in Houston, won like 18 games, then went to Colorado and was horrible in ANY park he pitched in, not just Colorado. He came to St. Louis and won 20 games his first year there. It's more about the team behind you then it is the pitching coach once you are established. -

I think what we need to do is this. Trade for Johnson (we have a lot of young guys in our farm system they would want.) Sign Kevin Millwood. Then I can see our rotation as Johnson Millwood Carpenter Suppan Ankiel/Harren That wouldn't be a bad rotation. If Rick Ankeil could do what he is capable of he could easily be another ace. -

I will keep this in a baseball thread. Peter Gammons says he thinks Randy Johnson is going to St. Louis. That would be a nice fix for our starting pitching. -
Does it get any worse for a Yankee fan?
BF_in_Indiana replied to duey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They also need to get rid of about 10 teams. Then you would see much better ballgames. I would say about 30 percent of major league pitching belongs in the minors. -

You want to hear the playoff system I want? The National and American League. The best record in the National league plays the best in the American League just like pre 1969. If you can't show you deserve it over 162 games, then you don't. I know it's all about TV, but how many teams have gone by the wayside when it was clear they were the best team and got busted in a best of 7 series? I can deal with the playoffs as they are set up, but that's what I want to go back to.
