  1. LOL. No DREW is pathetic. Our fans at times seem Apathetic.
  2. Well the improvement has been dramatic. It's not like we were horrible and he made us average. We were horrible and we are now very good.
  3. He has done a GREAT job this season with our special teams. They have been the brightest spot on our team in my opinion. I know I post a lot of doom and gloom, but I have to give credit when it's due too.
  4. BLAH BLAH BLAH. Even our fans have become apathetic.
  5. Barry Bonds is 40 years old and has more muscle now then when he was 25. Yep, he's not taking ANYTHING. The evidence is all there. I wish they would prove it and ban him from the game. Shoeless Joe got banned for less for crying out loud.
  6. While our franchise continues to lose and lose badly with a washed up QB the New York Giants benched Kurt Warner for Eli today. Kurt Warner has real credentials. He's an NFL MVP and a Super Bowl MVP. The Giants aren't afraid to make the move though to improve their team for the long haul. The Bills on the other hand leave washed up Bledsoe out on the field as fan interest plummets to all time lows. We will continue to play horrible football with a washed up QB while the Giants get ready for success in 2005. They are in a better situation then we are even. They are .500 I think. We are down for the count. What purpose does it serve to leave this loser in any longer?
  7. I don't recall saying you did. You do however KNOW that a vast majority of the country made that argument, and if you say they didn't you are just flat out lying.
  8. Well considering the Giants beat St. Louis in the 2002 NLCS and that my brother is a Giants fan and huge Bonds fan and we argue about it all the time, I would venture to say I've seen him play PLENTY of times. Major league teams take the wrong approach with him. You want to know how Bonds hurts teams the most? By being walked. Let's say Bonds walks to start an inning. Walking the first guy in an inning leads to more multi run innings then ANYTHING. If you pitch to him and he makes the out you are looking much better. I would rather give up a homer to him then walk him to be honest with you. His walks hurt the Cardinals more in the 2002 NLCS then his homers did.
  9. So now I'm saying Beltre but mean Pujols? I honestly think that Beltre had a better year then Pujols.
  10. I've always been of the belief that if people would just pitch to this guy he would make a lot more outs. As it is, when they DO pitch to him they try to make a perfect pitch every time. I would venture to say that if he were pitched to 500 times in a year instead of 300 times, his numbers would go DOWN. Yes, you heard me, DOWN.
  11. I say Adrian Beltre.
  12. By refusing to acknowledge the following argument that was made for Sammy Sosa in 1998 when McGwire should have won the MVP. "The Cubs won 90 games and the wildcard that year by one game over the Giants and two games over the Mets. St. Louis was barely over .500 and was really never in the race." If that's the case and we want to base it on that, then Adrian Beltre should be the MVP.
  13. Yes they did (sort of). Glad I could clear this up for you as a Yankees fans since you and the Yankees turned the season off after game 3 of the ALCS.
  14. EXACTLY. I heard this in 1998, and this is why Bonds shouldn't get it. I don't care if his team was in the race to the end. They blew it. His numbers are NOT far and away better then Beltres and all things being equal Beltre is your MVP.
  15. The biggest reason is I don't know who else was in the running those two seasons, the situation of the teams they were on, or the numbers. Secondly however, with all the numbers being equal (and in this case they are pretty close) I would always give the nod to the guy that carried his team the furthest, and in this case that man is NOT Barry Bonds.
  16. I'm just smart enough to understand that the 3 Cardinals in contention hurt each other. Barry can have his stinking award, I'm sure he would have rather played in the Series like the Cardinals did.
  17. The same can be said about Adrian Beltre who carried a terrible team into the playoffs himself.
  18. Way to avoid the question. You know what I'm talking about and you also know that it proves my point here about the MVP being a sham.
  19. Yeah and when he did there was a large uproar for the same reason I have a problem today.
  20. What the hell was the argument for Sammy Sosa in 1998? I'm waiting.........
  21. I know this. Trust me I know. Our "attitude" was on display loud and clear last night. Actually it was more like a whimper wouldn't ya say?
  22. You act like the Giants are Barry Bonds and a bunch of minor leaguers. I've got news for you, there are other quality players there. An MVP is the player most valuable to his team. I think one of the criteria for the award should be that you get your team into the playoffs. Who cares if Bonds had them "sniffing" the playoffs. They didn't make it, so their season wasn't any better then some loser team that finished 50 games below .500. Like I said, it's a joke.
  23. That award means nothing anymore. Adrian Beltre should have been the MVP.
