If you could actually read steve you might find my points to be as follows. 1. Theft is wrong. 2. Assault is wrong. 3. The Kid and the guy throwing beer= wrong 4. The reaction of the movie companies (suing children for a petty crime) is kneejerk. 5. Many here consider the actions of Ron Artest to be kneejerk and think he was out of line. 6. I think the movie companies are out of line. They are NOT going broke tomorrow because of this kid. 7. Saying there are varying levels of assault but only one kind of theft is flawed. Would you like me to elaborate further or is this all you can handle for now?

Because I find it funny that "theft is theft" but assault varies on the item you use.

If I came and stole a DVD from your house would you have the same reaction as if I stole your car? I doubt it.

I have moved past Ron Artest and the brawl. I think he probably should have just shrugged it of or maybe said something to the guy. What I'm trying to say is that for someone to say that the movie industry should sue 15 year olds for pirating Spider Man and then say that Ron Artest should "shurg it off" because it was "just a cup" is contridictary. They are both petty crimes. I just find it very stupid when someone condones lawsuits against children for a petty crime, but wants to hang someone else for reacting to a petty crime. The logic is just flawed.

Well I hope NO ONE uses it. First off I highly doubt this story is true, but doing business like that is just wrong. I'm not jumping on the Yankees, but they were the subject of the story, so I have to use them in making my point. It's just not good for the game for teams and players to do that.

Than tell me how copying a DVD is like stealing a car? It's different. 15 dollars or 30,000.

Why do I compare it with Artest? It has nothing to do with what I think about Artest really. I've moved past that. I just find it highly amusing that a crime such as theft is so clear cut in the eyes of these two and yet assault is different depending on the item you use. Many people here probably have Bills games on tape. Did you know that's illegal? I'm sure you do, but that doesn't stop you. I forgot though, it's so much easier to tell someone else how to run their life than it is to run your own. As for Nanker, they aren't out to get me, they just think they know it all. They don't.

Oh I don't debate it's stealing. I just find it amusing that "I whine about everything" Tom and his sidekick Alaska Douchebag can come on here and tell everyone how clear cut theft is but they can easily find many levels of assault when it suits their point. It's no wonder these two morons discuss politics all the time. They wish they could be politicians. Get with KRC. At least he got off his ass and did it. You two just talk about how you know it all. If that story were true (I highly doubt the validity of it) the Yankees should be eliminated from the game. That would be the ultimate disgrace to the game of baseball. If ANY team did that it would be about the worst thing imagineable to me.

For the resident know it alls, let me put it to you this way. You are saying it's wrong for Artest to cause a shitstorm (the brawl) over "just a cup" but it's ok for movie companies to sue some 15 year old for pirating a DVD for personal use? Both the cup throwing incident and stealing a simple 12 dollar DVD are small crimes in the big scheme of things. Ron Artest is a millionaire and should have shrugged it off. The movie industry is not losing money and makes Artest look like a bag lady and I'm certain you would condone them suing a 15 year old. Yet you want to hang Artest for stirring up a shitstorm after a crime was committed against him. Both had crimes committed against them and both are petty crimes. You would tell Artest to shrug it off, I think the movie companies should shrug it off.

Why would Texas want to trade Soriano away? He had a great season and the Yankees got robbed in that deal. Yeah I know A Rod had a good year, but for what Texas wanted and what NY wanted, Texas got the better deal.

That's actually what I wish St. Louis would do. Randy Johnson can still pitch and is worth 1 or 2 prospects with the current situation being as it is. Arizona better quit messing around because once the season starts the demand goes down, at the trading deadline they will be lucky to get much because everyone KNOWS he will walk after next year. St. Louis needs to see what it would take for one of the big 3 in Oakland.

The Yankees don't want to give up Vasquez...... I'm not sure why, but that seems to be the sticking point.

You guys should be thankful that's all you have to give up, if the Cardinals offer I read was accurate it was far superior to the Yankees. Vasquez sucks. Not sure why everyone is so high on him.

I actually heard the Yankees want to sign Kline as well. He's a good pitcher (most of the time) but he's a headcase. Not exactly what this Yankee team needs in the locker room and the main reason we are letting him walk.

Two things. Randy Johnson can still pitch, and this is why the Yankees haven't won in several years. Kneejerk reactions to losses have caused them to fill their clubhouse with names and not teams. When they figure that out they will win again.
