  1. Yeah I didn't even think about him. Those are some great numbers he is putting up.
  2. Of the big three that were drafted this year Lee Evans stacks up nicely. Roy Williams: 47 catches, 722 yards, 7 TD's Larry Fitzgerald: 51 catches, 674 yards, 6 TD's Lee Evans: 38 catches, 688 yards, 7 TD's He's coming along nicely.
  3. Darin I'm still patiently waiting for your explanation of how a .250 hitter is "can't miss".
  4. Just in time to hand out some more beatings
  5. Well when someone tells me a guy is "can't miss" and he's batting .250 he's just full of sh--.
  6. Numbers don't tell the story? Yeah I would much rather have a guy hitting .250 with 5 homers than I would a guy hitting .300 with 30 homers. Why don't you make a case that's a little more legit.
  7. Here is a scouting report on Navarro. Dioneer Navarro, C, New York Yankees Signed as an undrafted free agent, 2000, Venezuela Bats B/Throws R 20 YO, 5'10", 190 lbs I really wanted to gloat and say that he was overrated going into the season. He probably was overrated. And he failed to meet the unrealistic expectations that were thrust upon him. But on the other hand, he did make it to AA as a 19 year old, and to AAA as a 20 year old. Here are the numbers. In AA Trenton this season, he hit .271/.354/.369 in 121 at bats. And in 136 International League at bats, he hit .250/.316/.360. His walk rate is strong and improved a lot this season. He won't hit for the kind of average he showed last season (.341 in Trenton), and it doesn't look like he'll ever hit for much power. But he looks like he may slot in as a fringe starter in the majors. He's not a bad prospect. He's not a great one either. ETA: Late 2005 3 Stars And here are the numbers on Duncan. http://www.sports-wired.com/players/profile.asp?ID=37288 Yeah sure Darin, these guys are "can't miss". Darric Barton had better numbers than BOTH of these guys.
  8. No I don't actually. He's alright, but nothing to brag about.
  9. Adrian Beltre bolting to Seattle is the reason this didn't get done. The Dodgers had second thoughts after realizing that they needed to keep the offense that they lost with Beltre. That's why Green became "indespensible" all of a sudden.
  10. The Yankees don't want Vasquez for a reason. They have been trying to unload him for a while now, and not just to Arizona.
  11. So without providing any numbers on these two players I'm supposed to believe they are "can't miss" and "sure things". You are the one making the ignorant statements. Minor league players are never "can't miss". As far as the players that are ready NOW the Dodgers were taking it in the ass.
  12. And I bet everyone thought I was going to post that
  13. Thanks for coming in like usual and trying to stir sh-- up with me. I will take the opposite approach here though. What level of ball were these two in and I would like some numbers for each this past season please.
  14. My gut feeling is that Arizona is going to end up getting hosed in this deal. They know they have to move him and now that this megadeal has fallen apart it will end up being Johnson for a few scrubs would be my guess.
  15. Yeah kind of Tater. He got around 10 million a year, Beltre got 12.5.
  16. I think the Dodgers were getting the worst of the deal. They were sending Ishi (sp) and Green and someone else (help me here T) and I think all they were getting was Vasquez and someone else. I didn't like the deal from their POV either.
  17. "The Dodgers reneged on the deal that was agreed to last Friday, unequivocally and with no contingencies except for a window for contract extensions and physicals,'' Yankees president Randy Levine said. ``For some reason, the Dodgers over the weekend started to backpedal. Why they would break their word is only something they can answer. It sure is disappointing, and we'll have to think long and hard before ever doing business with the Dodgers again.'' Maybe they realized they were giving up WAY too much for what they were getting?

  19. There is a reason the Yankees don't want Vasquez.......
