  1. If we let Pat leave I believe we will se a large drop off in the production of Sam Adams. That being said, he isn't worth 5 million per year. TD needs to make the smart move and let him go if that's what he wants to get per year.
  2. Nothing he does means anything to me. I find it quite amusing that a good chunk of people want him after all the trouble he has gotten into/caused in college. A lot of the same people were saying they wouldn't touch this guy a year ago. What's changed? Nothing if you ask me.
  3. GOOD. I hope the Jets get Coles back. His price tag is too high and Moss is becoming a better player.
  4. I find a lot of irony in Pat Williams wanting to collect 5 million dollars a year (not even close to market value) after he blasted Sam Adams a couple of years ago for holding out for too much money. It's kind of funny how it works the other way when it's your turn. When Sam Adams was in this situation Pat told him to "take one for the team" and now Pat is just looking out for himself. This is just funny to me.
  5. So the Bills line are "underachievers" and we bring in Shelton who has been labeled as an "underachiever" and we are better in the long run? I want the deal to happen, just making fun of the media.
  6. I disagree. Drew and his name recognition helped bring in free agents indirectly. A draft pick (Harrington) wouldn't have helped us in that front. Players look at a few things durring free agency. 1. Money 2. Is this a team on the way up and close to winning? 3. The family aspect of the area of the team. Drew definately helped us with number two by getting us to 8-8 in 2002. Guys like Spikes saw we were on the rise and wanted to come here. This helped the Bills in the long run. So he wasn't "worth nothing" to us.
  7. Drew should be thanking Buffalo for what they did for him. We took a chance on him when there were a lot of variables with him at that point. We gave him every chance to do well and he failed MISERABLY. He should just move on and keep his mouth shut.
  8. Baseball is in such bad shape right now. It's going to be the next NHL. The owners are going to ask for a cap next time collective bargaining comes around and it's all over. If they don't do it though teams will be going bankrupt in the middle of the season like they have in the NHL. The steroid issue is just a good story for the media. Most fans aren't stupid enough to believe that this is some kind of "news".
  9. I saw the movie twice in the theatre and bought it on DVD. I've also seen the actual game several times (although I was born a few months after the game happened) and it brings chills up my spine. I can only imagine seeing it when it happened.
  10. That was my point JSP.
  11. Looks like the deal is done already!!!!
  12. And Jeff is gonna win about 15 of them!!!!
  13. This deal works out great for us. We will get a player that can help us now. I would like to see him moved to LG and then if we can resign Jonas our line is better than last year. Then we can sign a TE.
  14. I think this should be our FIRST course of action in Free Agency. If we can trade Henry for Shelton I would like to see us go after Franks immediately.
  15. We could use Kevin Carter if he came cheap. I wouldn't pay anything substantial for him though.
  16. Hey I'll be middle aged soon enough
  17. Well the other guy got punched by Jackson though
  18. And they got their ass kicked for it too.
  19. I wasn't talking about myself being a lemming. I was talking about others. I was just pointing out to him that I am not the only one who shares mp3s without using itunes.
  20. Yeah I did. Fear and Loathing is only a work of art to someone who is tripped out on LSD. Hell, Timothy Leary is god by comparison.
  21. Yeah he and Hunter S. Thompson have a lot in common.
  22. Me and millions of others.
  23. The Tracy Lee thread. That was a beauty, I almost forgot about that one. No, my views weren't shaped by that thread at all. We'll just have to agree to disagree I guess. I guess it's kind of like the issue of marijuana. I don't use it, but I don't think others should be made to believe they shouldn't use it just because the moral majority tells them they are wrong for doing so.
  24. I like lots of music. I like Bob Marley, I like Eminem, I like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, all kinds of music. Nine Inch Nails put on one of the best live shows I've ever seen and I've seen KISS and Black Sabbath along with Aerosmith as well. Manson is up and down live, some nights you see him and he's great, others he sucks.
  25. I don't take complete albums first of all. I might download a radio single from an album I have heard and know isn't any good other than the 1 song. Now if I taped it off the radio I wouldn't hear the band calling me a thief. Why is that? It's the same thing isn't it? You know why bands don't want file sharing? Metallica signed a deal in the mid 90's that pays them 3 dollars per cd sold. That's why they were at the head of the line to ban Napster. They have a deal that is far better than most bands do. Don't expect me to feel sorry for millionaires who embraced tape trading when it suited their interests but now have decided that since they are now making tons of money that it's wrong. (And I'm not just speaking about Metallica, just bands in general).
