Butler made the playoffs as GM in 1993 (This was Polians team with no real work from Butler), 1995, (still a lot of guys that Polian brought here), 1996 (a few more Butler guys spread in there), 1998 (This was a Butler team), and 1999 (Also a Butler team). He was GM for 8 years and we made it 4 times. Not good, but better then TD has done. I still think he was a terrible GM though.

Well in reality Lori, it is "we". Fans drive the game. No fans, no teams.......so as a fan who goes to the game you have a financial interest in the Buffalo Bills or the Bonnies or whoever. So in my eyes it is "we".

How many people here refer to the Bills in the "we" context??? It's so funny that people try to say something like that when it suits them, but they are the same ones that would refer to their team as "we".

I don't see anything about that post that was designed to inflame someone. What was inflaming about it??? As for the guy that said he lives outside NY and likes the Yankees. That isn't what I said, I said the people outside NY don't like the RULES. I clearly stated that the Yankees play within those rules.

Maybe you hadn't noticed the Montreal Canadiens???? Look at the four major sports though and the team with the most titles. NBA- Boston and LA NFL- San Francisco and Dallas MLB- The Yankees NHL- Montreal Notice one thing about those teams???? There isn't a small market among them. If you wanted to say Green Bay (which I won't since no one really counts anything before the Super Bowl anymore.) then that would be one. The fact is, these teams can bring in free agents almost at will because of the media market and their past history. Teams like Buffalo in the NFL don't have that going for them. Baseball has always encouraged the reckless spending of the NY Yankees. You had the bonus babies in the '40's and '50's and now you have this mess right now. Do the Yankees play within the rules??? Yes. Does anyone outside of NY like the rules??? No. I think the Montreal Canadiens are the greatest franchise in sports. Not the Yankees.

T he didn't get lit up. Two of those runs should never have been on the board if not for a HORRIBLE call by the umpire. Not sure if you saw it or not but it totally changed the game.

My honest take with no bias towards my hatred for the Yankees is Boston in 6. I just don't see the Yankees (and maybe even the Cardinals) getting by that pitching in a seven game series. The reason I say "maybe" for the Cards is that we have a little better starting rotation then the Yankees do.

It was kind of a bet. A couple people thought it was so funny that I told them I would put it up there and leave it up there for a year if the Cardinals lost in the playoffs. They won't so I will take it down after we win the series.
