In the few chances he has had, he needs to heave it down the field and trust that the receiver will get it. On the stevie pick, Johnson needed to catch that. Even if he got laid out, he should have caught that. Andre Reed made a living out of the slant route where he got killed but caught the ball. On the Roscoe pick, the Safety/ Corner cheated up as soon as Roscoe stepped back. Meaning it was a bad playcall. However, Roscoe could have held on to it and it was a bad break that it rolled along bodies instead of ground. I was also add that Gailey is at fault on the play action rollout sack where Edwards got crushed by Mathews. I will fault Edwards for indecisiveness when he knows that he'll get crushed behind the Swiss cheese line on the field. That ball just needs to come out as the receivers break and hope for the best sometimes.

Gailey and Modkins might have gameplanned it that way to give Trent more time, and to utilize CJ and Freddy's quickness and deceptiveness. However, it could have been in anticipation that our line was going to get blown up a lot or to keep their DB's honest deep down the field.

I wouldn't want a guy bumbling and frowning while saying we have a chance. For all you Edwards haters there, the line failed horribly in the run and pass game. Simply put, if the line can't get enough push for any of our 3 rb's to go anywhere, this team is not gonna do crap.

+1 The interior line was at stalemate w/ dolphins whole game, and the tackles got eaten alive. When Bell came off the field for a play, Meredith got Edwards killed in that snap. The line clearly didn't do enough as the leading rusher got 19 yards and the QB was running for his life due to backside pressure.
