  1. It doesn't look like OCC put much effort into this one; it's really, really basic. I hope it looks better with all of the signatures on it or it isn't going to fetch too much.
  2. Ken Simonton was undersized, not much good at picking up blitzers.
  3. Well if the offense could get a first down on every series, the Bills wouldn't NEED a punter!
  4. It could also be called "stolen" home video...
  5. I actually think they're perfect for each other; he's a magician and she makes his wand disappear.
  6. Unfortunately, he can't make a living doing her...er, I mean, that unless, of course, he allows himself to be filmed.
  7. If they do cut him, it will be at the last conceivable moment. Like him or not, he is experienced and his contract is affordable.
  8. Big runs usually happen when the DL is sealed off, the LBs are either sealed off or misdirected, and the LBs and DBs in man coverage are drawn so far away from the LOS by the receivers that they can't make a tackle in time. Cover 2 is primarily zone coverage, so some LBs and DBs are going to stay at home and will be able to make a play on the RB. It really is a bend-but-don't-break defense which is probably why Marv likes it so much. Sure it can be scored on, but not quickly, provided that the defenders play disciplined ball.
  9. Q: Why is a dollar bill worth more than Steve McNair? A: You can get four quarters out of a dollar bill.
  10. ...and they lick their balloon knots clean.
  11. What did the front seven have to do with the Bills getting burnt on 3rd-and-long pass completions time after time? Obviously, the front seven was doing something right to force a 3rd-and-long in the first place and on 3rd-and-long the opposing offense will obviously be playing max-protect so you can't expect to get a sack. The ball was clearly in the secondary's court on those plays and they kept dropping it.
  12. The runningback doesn't have to bounce outside when he can run right up your gut.
  13. Somehow I doubt it. First off, Scott played for Texas. Second, his NFL.com draft profile reminds one of Mike Williams.
  14. Well, the Bills defense wasn't killed by running plays on 3 and long last season now were they?
  15. "She"'s their nod to the WNBA fan base.
  16. Fatty McButterpants isn't motivated by journalistic integrity; he wants his bread buttered and will do all the knob-polishing necessary to make it happen. He's not the only columnist with children, but he seems to be the only one who works their exploits into his articles despite their utter irrelevance to the subject at hand. I don't blame him so much as I do the people who keep writing him paychecks. The fourth estate is in terrible shape up and down the line, no wonder newspapers and magazines are folding.
  17. He may have watched all of that film, but did he UNDERSTAND it?
  18. A smaller, faster NT in a 3-4 is a recipe for disaster. The DL in a 3-4 is supposed to occupy the opposing OL so that the linebackers can make plays. This is why a 3-4 generally employs larger-than-usual DEs and a huge NT. Ted Washington was the ideal 3-4 NT. I think Jeff Wright was the biggest weakness in the Bills' old 3-4 defense. He could be disruptive, he could tackle for a loss and he could sack the QB more often than a typical 3-4 NT but he could not stop the run consistently and that's what killed them. The NT in a 4-3 doesn't have to be as big as a NT in a 3-4 because they have someone playing next to them.
  19. If we draft him, we'll have two Mormon defensive linemen. Powerful.
  20. I would also add that the Bills defense will be playing more zone and less man coverage under the Cover-2 and this takes the pressure off DBs with suspect coverage skills.
  21. What would you rather have, a defense that gives your offense time to work or an offense that gives your defense time to rest? We have one nose tackle and one three-technique tackle who started at that position full-time. Even if the Bills don't take a DT in the first round, they'd be better off with an OL player as it won't matter how open Vernon Davis is when the QB is laying on his back or chasing after a fumble return.
  22. You mean a turducken, right? John Madden uses chicken legs as toothpicks.
  23. Yeah but that game was in the Bills' house.
  24. Nah, the Bills have got decent skill position players but the offensive line and the interior of the defensive line suck. This is a draft deep in OL and DL players and they've got ten picks. A couple of those second-day picks can be traded for an additional first-day pick. If the Bills draft well in the OL and DL departments, the lines could be improved markedly. With decent pass and run blocking, the QB, RB, WRs and even TEs will show us what they're capable of. With some pressure and run-stuffing in the middle of the DL, the defense will be back in the top ten.
