  1. Flutie is bitter that he hasn't been named as the axis of the earth so that it can actually rotate around him.
  2. Do you recall any of the football games that "Flutie won" before he got pulled for Tennessee? The team was winning games in spite of him, not because of him. If he was benched for Todd Collins or Bubby Brister it would have been justified.
  3. I have to admit I became suspiscious when I read something along the lines of: "If there is no DNA it's not a big deal. Maybe they used condoms." This was very early on and seemed to me to be pre-positioning. I'm no DNA expert but if they can't get any DNA from anywhere (fingernails, clothing, etc.) does that not cast some doubt? Given that, I don't think it is any more productive to villify the purported victim. There are only a few people that know what really happened. The authorities should be given time to sort it all out before people on either "side" get bent out of shape. Once charges are brought or not, the authorities should have to answer to the crowd that disagrees or a jury, whichever is appropriate.
  4. What happened to DeAngelo Williams? At one point I saw him projected at 4 to the Jets. Now he's 21? I'm with Mark. This guy should shut up and wait for the draft. It's pretty clear that the Saints are positioned to pick up Ferguson. I seriously doubt the Bills are picking a QB. At best this guy is guessing. He may have beeen liquored up while doing so.
  5. Sep 10 @New England - Tie Sep 17 @miami - Win Sep 24 N.Y. Jets - Tie Oct 1 Minnesota - Tie Oct 8 @Chicago - Traded to NO for D'Brickshaw Ferguson Oct 15 @Detroit - Tie Oct 22 New England - Tie Nov 5 Green Bay - Cheese Nov 12 @Indianapolis - Tie Nov 19 @Houston Cheese has gotten Mouldy Nov 26 Jacksonville - Tie Dec 3 San Diego - Tie Dec 10 @N.Y. Jets - Tie Dec 17 miami - Win Dec 24 Tennessee - Tie Dec 31 @Baltimore - Moved to 2007 due to flex schedule 2006 record 2-0-12-D'Brickshaw-Mouldy Cheese-flex deferral I'm not sure about some of the later games so I'm glad you'll give us a chance to adjust. For instance the Tennessee game may end up as a win due to a missed extra point but I'm still looking at the projected wind patterns.
  6. At least to me the point is that both religion and science purport to be the search for truth. Clearly the methods of search differ, but that does or should not negate either. Obviously organized religion throughout history has been threatened by science and this feeling is usually unjustified. I hesitate to say always unjustified but let's peg it at upwards of 98% of the time. The search for spiritual truth, although possibly involving an organized religion, is truly individual. Anyone truly searching would not be threatened by science. IMO, someone whose religious beliefs are threatened by science needs to re-examine their religious beliefs. It is always healthy to re-examie ones beliefs. Similarly, scientists should not be threatened by religion. Science offers literally trillions of topics to be researched. Do you find this guy's choice of topics at all curious?
  7. Why do you think an appearance on a telethon should determine the starter? Should how old someone looks be the deciding factor? Shouldn't it be based on football ability?
  8. What a twisted world. "We are no better than bacteria" gets a stonding ovation. Ebola? This is truly sad. A little more about Ebola: Ebola What it does to people
  9. Do think this guy envisions himself as one of the 10% or one of the 90%? Maybe duct tape wasn't such a bad idea
  10. Don't misunderstand my original post. If they find DNA matches, then nail the crap out of these guys. If they have enough non-DNA evidence, do the same. If 10 guys are involved in some cover up, charge them as appropriate. I do have a hard time believing that all 47 are involved. It just doesn't make any sense. From the article I read it does seem some evidence was found at the scene. The investigation should proceed. I have to admit I find it strange that she knows 3 lacrosse players did this, but evidently can't ID them. I'm not saying that means she's lying by any stretch, just that is unusual.
  11. I haven't read enough about this to form an opinion on the act itself. I really don't know fully what is being alleged. I have formed an opinion or two though: 1. Talk about guilty until proven innocent. Sheesh. Why wouldn't both sides let the investigation take its course? 2. I read a brief article this morning in which the players (most of them anyway) attorney states they are all innocent and that DNA will absolve them from blame. That comment is immediately followed by a Duke professor's comment stating that DNA is not needed because the players could have just worn condoms. She is convinced of their guilt even if their is no evidence. An allegation seems to be enough for her. What if they find someone elses DNA? Did the players alter it in a grand deception? 3. I think I heard there were 3 attackers. There are 40 odd players on the team. Should they all go to jail? Maybe we can just kill them all. They are just jocks anyway.
  12. Nintendo or Xbox?
  13. Every article I have read about the "interest" in Moulds is from the same source: Moulds agents. Who knows what is true? The only thing we know is that Moulds agents overestimate his value in salary and underestimate the amount of leverage the Bills have and what the Bills can demand. That's ok because it is part of their job, but it still doesn't change the facts. Moulds salary demands + his price in a trade = his value. Therefore, it is to Moulds benefit if the Bills asking price is low; therefore "reports" of the Bills asking for a 4th rounder are floated. In real life the thing that matters is that Moulds has no reason to want off the Bills other than reasons that make him look like a bad team player. If he has problems with management, they are all gone now. He has been quoted in the past with glowing praise and admiration for Levy. All of a sudden he can't imagine ever playing for the Bills again? What did they do that was so bad? This ought to send up a red flag to potential suitors. His recent play ought to be another red flag, or at least a yellow. A high asking price would be a third. That's not a good equation for an agent. They are trying to manipulate the market in their own favor. There is only so far they can go before the risk of a holdout or sitting out a season is a risk the Bills will be able to take.
  14. Maybe the "comeback from the bench where he was sitting and pouting against our most hated rival while we were up by 21" award?
  15. If you look at any negotiation, the side making the most noise is usually the one in the disadvantaged position. Is the Moulds camp making the most noise or are the Bills?
  16. Actually Marv has too much class to pull BS like that. It may not help in the short term, but in the long term it is the right thing to do. With that said, I like that Seattle stuck it back to Minny. I really liked the state of Minnesota thing. They should have said: If he plays x number of games in the stojan-hole state of Minnesota.....just to make it more obnoxious.
  17. I was leaving a wake for 21 year old brother of a friend and the Dan Fogelberg song "In the Passage" came on. It was a cold winter night with a bright moon. I listened to the words while sitting in the car in the parking lot. I lost it.
  18. Didn't he come in as a starter about the same time as Brad Johnson just when Minny started to win? I'm not flaming but just wondering why you considered him a disaster.
  19. I see one tiny glitch with your approach. The only money the victims would get is your $19.95 because you're the only one who would pay to a guy dressed up in a dress and lipstick get abused. If you made their death by fire ants available however...... or boa constrictor... or made them continually cross the autobahn.....
  20. For me, the jury is out. Modrak is the common thread so maybe the results will be similar (let's hope not). The new staff, at least at the top, seems to me better equipped to contribute to the conversation than was Mularkey & company.
  21. Did he sit down awkwardly on that bench in miami and bust his butt? I hadn't read that. They must have hard benches there.
  22. Please offer your suggestions for which player(s) Marv should have signed by now, but has not. Please offer the name of a ptoential GM that, if given the job instead of Marv, would have signed these players. How would he have manged that where Marv has failed? Thanks.
  23. FWIW, I wasn't "jumping in to try to contradict you". I missed the second line of the subject (you know, the one in the 4 point font). Sorry. I was (incorrectly) interpreting his post. Although I will make every effort on your behalf to never make another mistake as long as I live, it is possible that it could happen. If it does happen, you can rest assured that I am not simply "jumping in to try to contradict you". I really have no reason to do that.
