  1. If 37-13 going into the 4th quarter isn't garbage time in the NFL then nothing is garbage time. Seriously. It's a positive that Taylor and the Bills got that hot, but it was still garbage time. It should be a lesson to the Bills that no lead is safe and if they are ever in the position of having a huge lead, they need to continue to play hard for the entire game.
  2. IMO, the Pats started dropping players into coverage and played prevent defense. They got caught with their pants down because they really no longer had any fear of what the Bills could do on offense and it almost burnt them. The Bills got hot and it was just one of those things that happens to teams who have a big lead with a lot of time left. Great for Tyrod to keep plugging away like that. However, he really needs to start burning teams down the field with his arm. Preferably in the first half of games. Because we all know that the dink and dunk game does not work and won't get you in the playoffs. All the blame isn't on Taylor either. It's also on Roman and Rex. Do they want to be in the playoffs? Then stop with the stupid old school ground and pound crap and become a passing team first. They have all the weapons in the world and we all want to see if Taylor is a franchise QB. No more training wheels, go nuts like they were doing in the fourth quarter. That's the ticket to a Superbowl folks. If the Bills have a top 10 offense we are there. Just go for it Rex.
  3. 3 of those TDs came in garbage time. It's sad reading so many replays from fans buying into that 4th quarter. It's easy to get hot when the game is out of hand and there's no more pressure to win. It was nice that he did do what he did, but Taylor needs to perform under pressure when the game is still a contest.
  4. I remember seeing a dude with a beard, ball cap turned backwards and a #2 pencil behind his ear figure Taylor out just two days ago.
  5. IMO this will eventually go down as a much bigger blunder for Rex than yesterday's game. They have "their" guy starting and now they are seeing very large red flags. I hope I'm wrong, but we are all beginning to see why Taylor isn't going to be the answer. There's a reason why having success as a small QB is an extremely rare thing in the NFL. You just can't have consistency with a "seat of your pants" style of passing game. I'd give him two more games to show something. Dude's in his fifth year so there's not a ton of slack given here with that big tall fellow EJ waiting in the wings.
  6. I'm going by what I saw in the preseason games. It's merely an opinion just as that Pats fan had.
  7. Which explains why Rex is now with his second team. Rex may have gotten away with not caring about having a great offense in the NYC area, where there are about a hundred professional teams, but Buffalo is all about the Buffalo Bills and he won't be able to joke his way out of playing Taylor if he isn't getting the job done.
  8. Manuel would have torched your horrid secondary. There's a good chance we'll see who's right the next time they play the Pats.
  9. You are in denial.
  10. Taylor did zip after the first drive until the Pats stopped playing for real in the fourth quarter. You and I both know that EJ Manuel will start again this year because Taylor is going to play his way back to the bench. The NFL is not built for small QBs who need throwing windows to see. It's built for big and tall QBs to see and hit their targets on time. Unfortunately, the only Bills QB that size and who did that this preseason wasn't even dressed for the game.
  11. Tyrod only got hot because it was garbage time. The Pats got so comfortable and felt so non-threatened by Taylor that they allowed him to the opportunity to scare them at the end and he took advantage. It was still garbage time though.
  12. Complete and utter nonsense. EJ Manuel looked much better in his first two starts as a rookie than the five year veteran Taylor. Look it up. Taylor played horrible and only got "hot" because the pressure was off when the game got out of control (i.e. garbage time). It's stupid to go through a full season's worth of growing pains with Taylor when Manuel has the prototype NFL size, the NFL style of playing QB in the pocket and has already been through his growing pains. It's going to get real ugly around here for Rex if he continues to not activate Manuel.
  13. Soooo...the $64,000 question is when the game shifted dramatically at the end of the first quarter, why didn't the Bills just throw the ball downfield to try to burn the "8 and 9 in a box" packages? A. They don't trust Tyrod Taylor to be a true franchise QB to make those big passing plays when the defense is challenging him to do just that. B. Rex will never ever move away from the "ground and pound" philosophy. C. Both of the above. Good ol' Rex has some explaining to do because Bills fans aren't stupid. He needs to answer why the running plays with so many defenders crowding the line of scrimmage.
  14. Who cares really, the EJ hate insanity needs to end. The Bills have a 6'4", 245 lb, athletic, strong armed, former 1st round QB who looked great in preseason in street clothes. Could only happen with the Buffalo Bills!...LOL
  15. What, for calling for Manuel to be made active for games?...LOL You are too funny!
  16. How do you conduct an effective, timing offense with a QB like Taylor who might be having a hard time seeing the field because of his height and who needs to move around to see? There's no longer any reason for "prototype height/size/arm" EJ Manuel to be inactive other than they would be admitting they are worried about possibly hurting Taylor's feelings.
  17. This place is going to be so weird if the Bills beat the Pats. What will we fight about?
  18. Long time Buffalo Bills hater (I don't think he likes Rex much either) Mike Francesa actually picked the Bills beat the Colts... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4rCxVFlxRs
  19. I'm rooting for Tyrod Taylor to have a great game and career for the Bills. I'm not one of the fans who are so filled with hate for EJ Manuel that they feel the need to continue to trash him. You guys have issues man.
  20. Were you one of those obnoxious type of Bills fans during the Kelly/Superbowl years? You are right, EJ Manuel is officially listed as the third string QB on the Bills roster. Good boy Spike, do you want a treat?
  21. LOL...thanks for proving my point. You EJ haters really do seem like such a sad and pathetic bunch. Putting some extra mustard on that EJ hate when the Bills starting QB has had no NFL starts or TD passes ever? Talk about creating some bad vibes before the big opener.
  22. No it's not...LOL Joe Webb had 3 TDs in 60 passing attempts while EJ Manuel had 4 TDs in 30 passing attempts. EJ's yards per completion was almost double. You're embarrassing yourself.
  23. Why do you continue to bring up Joe Webb? I gave you the reason why it's an idiotic comparison, yet you still continue to do it. I'm done wasting my time.
  24. EJ Manuel had Doug Marrone as his head coach his first two years. He's a former first round pick who has shown a dramatic improvement under Greg Roman. Other than Hundley, who clearly does have the pedigree to eventually become a franchise QB, the other two complete nobody QBs just do not have the same starting pedigree to even be in this discussion. Having 4 TD passes with 60 attempts against 3rd string players is not a big deal. EJ did this in 30 attempts, with double the average yards per completion, two game late TD passes to go ahead in the Panther game and win the Browns game...AND he went off on the Steelers first string defense. BTW, this was all done under tremendous pressure of being a former first round pick who was fighting to save his former 1st round QB career. None of those three guys had anywhere near that kind of pressure. That is the proper context it needs to be looked through. It's shameful how some Bills fans remain such ardent EJ haters that they can't even give him his do when he does great. Let me say that by doing this you are all putting a lot of pressure on Tyrod Taylor to perform amazingly well on Sunday given how silly EJ's preseason stats were when put into the haters' "proper context" machine.
  25. This preseason, EJ Manuel had the 5th best QB rating in the league. He had the 4th best average yards per pass. Statistically, every 4th pass completion was for over 20 yards. Dude had 4 impressive touchdown passes. He threw a go ahead pass in the Panther game only to have the defense blow it in the end, he threw a game winning touchdown pass and 2 point conversion in the Browns game and he went off in the Steelers game. Yet you have the nerve to complain about him blowing his chances!? Really?…LOL
