  1. See Lawyer Milloy, Damien Woody, Ty Law...
  2. I hope his change of scenery is to an AFC East team other than the Buffalo Bills. I think he just plain stinks.
  3. That's crazy talk. Edwards had 4 sacks last season and is huge compared to Hovan (320 to 296 pounds). Hovan had 1.5 sacks and was a washout with the leagues worst defense. Seriously, I don't get how Hovan is better than Edwards.
  4. What's more risky? Paying 6 million dollars on 2 aging DTs (Sam plus your FA replacement for PW), or going with a very cap friendly Ron Edwards who has shown substantial improvement last season? If you put all your eggs in one basket then eventually you lose out on real players like McGahee, Evans and possibly Losman because you're still paying a 38 year old PW's signing bonus in the year 2009. You can't keep everybody, Pat Williams is the textbook example of a guy you let walk.
  5. In free agency sometimes you have to let older players walk and replace them with their understudies. Ron Edwards will be our starting DT next season replacing not so good ol' Pat Williams. He simply priced himself out of the Bills range. Another team will spend 4 million a year for him because some teams are desparate for defensive line help. PW said he'd give the Bills a hometeam discount (a la the Patriot players), this is turning out to be a false statement. But maybe Ron Edwards is a better player than Pat. Pat never really was able to get good pressure on a QB. We do know that Ron has shown very good pass rushing ability. There are simply too many young talented players on this team to give Pat such an enormous raise. Players that eventually will want to get paid. So I predict that PW is no longer going to be a Buffalo Bill. I'm over it and I'm looking foward to seeing what kind of player Edwards will be as the starting DT.
  6. Pat is too old to be signing to a huge contract. Not when you'll have McGahee, Evans and Losman looking for theirs when Big Pats big contract numbers come due a few years down the line. You just have to bite the bullet and start Edwards in his place. Unless big Pat comes back a la Rueben Brown with a more reasonable number more in line with his role on the team. I'm thinking 3 million a year tops for a solid run stopper on the wrong side of thirty years old. Forget about Pat and hope TD is not stupid enough to let Nate slip away. They really need to extend his contract this year. As for worrying about our defense, we will be better than fine without Pat. Tim Kumrie is a great line coach that will not allow us to slip in this area.
  7. I could definitely see him going to Dallas. They have a ton of cash. Law, Muhamad, all these guys will flock over there.
  8. Actions speak louder than words. I'm sure many of his teamates are scratching their heads too.
  9. I meant from the age of free agency. An age that has seen many a Bill shown the door with little regrets.
  10. Do you see how bad the 49ers are? Do ya? Well that is the result of overpaying players with huge salaries and signing bonuses. The Bills are at the cusp of being a real contender and replacing Williams and Jennings this season will not derail this train by a long shot. In fact we'll be even better because we will have all the more money to spend. Has a player leaving the Bills ever shown anything to cause you regret? I rest my case bro.
  11. Buh-bye Pat. Buh-bye Jonas. I'm sick and tired of these guys trying to break the bank. Their self-perceived values are so out of wack it's not even funny. What ever happened to Mr. Buffalo Bill Pat Williams looking for what was fair to stay with the team? Greed baby. Oh well they're making their own beds, have fun playing for another team guys. I don't even want to hear players bitchin about not signing them either. They don't care about the Bills being in cap hell because they will be long gone by then. If you think the Bills should cave in take a look at the 49ers and think again.
  12. Maybe Mike McMahon QB from Detriot. I wouldn't mind that at all.
  13. You would have a point here if you didn't overate Henry and Jennings. Travis is not a "pro bowl" running back. Technically he is, but in football reality he's far from it. Jennings is an above average injury-prone LT who is looking for elite money. The Bills of the previous regime would overspend on a guy like this. Thankfully, TD will keep his offer to a sane one. The best case scenario is to get LJ and sign Jennings also, but that is not going to happen because Jonas wants to break the bank.
  14. Stupid? Take the unconditional blinders off. Bonds has been juiced since 2000, I will never recognize him as the home run king should he break the record.
  15. Give it a rest. Bledsoe tanked. Thinking that someone else is to blame for him not being here anymore is the biggest bunch of bull I've ever read on this board.
  16. He said he wants to be a Jet. Sorry, but I don't want sloppy seconds from a sloppy second.
  17. Hater? Dude, I was a Bledsoe supporter until that fateful day. We all have our opinions on why we lost at home to a team that had little to play for. Did the defense come up big that day? Of course not. But when you have seven three and outs and give away ten points it is hard to look any further than number 11 for the real reason the Bills didn't win that day. Saying that the defense and special teams had equal blame is like saying Christopher Walken was respondsible for Gigli being a bad movie.
  18. Hank Aaron has the record, not Babe Ruth. As far as I know his record's athenticity not in dispute.
  19. SEVEN three and outs and giving the opposition 10 GIFT POINTS is practically begging the defense to become tired and drained in the 4th quarter. Bledsoe is the sole goat for the Steeler loss. We get even adequate performance from our QB that day and Pittsburg is toast.
  20. Wrong. The offense had SEVEN three and outs in the Pitt game. Add in Drew's 10 POINT gift off his turnovers and you get the "Drew Light Special". That loss was ALL on Drew baby and the reason for todays festivities in Dallas.
  21. What's worse? Being a TSW basher or a Bledsoe basher? If your offended by fans taking shots at Drew here, then maybe TSW isn't you cup of tea to begin with. IMO fans here have every right to throw the last shovel fulls of dirt on the Bledsoe era today.
  22. JP may suck, or he may be what we've all been waiting for for ten stinkin years, but I get the sense that at least this kid has some REAL fire in his belly. That's what will be so refreshing about this change in leadership.
  23. I'm glad we finally have a QB with a pulse. When DB says he still has fire and motivation it sounds like he's discussing his tax deductions with his accountant. Go JP! Go Bills!
  24. I think he's clueless. It still boggels my mind that he felt blindsided by the Bills decision. Makes me wonder why we stayed with someone so non-aware of reality.
  25. He's still pissed and clearly wanted to highlight this with his remark. I don't care what Drew does anymore.
