  1. Lucky for you, Kraft and Belichick, Ted was stupid and let himself be taken advantage of. I think he was being paid at least half of what he was worth. If Kraft had integrity he would have not allowed Bruschi to screw him and his family over with those lowball contracts. I can see the hometown discount angle, but Ted has a long life ahead of him and he did not properly set himself up for it when the opportunity was there.
  2. He missed the mark by over 2 million dollars. But he was close in terms of Bill Gates money.
  3. http://www.patscap.com/index.html Wrong, check the numbers. When I see players like Antoine Winfield and Pat Williams getting THREE TIMES the annual amount and not being close the player Tedy Bruschi is, it makes me think he was grossly underpaid. Now that's his own fault because he's been his own agent, but don't even try to tell me he made a lot of money in NFL football salary terms: 2004 Bruschi's salary: $2,625,000 $700,000 salary $1,541,000 bonus ($4,166,666 was the remaining bonus money after the 2004 season) 2005 Bruschi's salary: $1,750,000 $700,000 salary $875,000 bonus (2,650,000 is the remaining bonus money after the 2005 season) BTW, Mike Williams will be making twice that two year total in 2005.
  4. You think that Bruschi doesn't wish he held out for more money or went to a team willing to pay him his going rate right about now? All these Patriot players will soon come to realize that their earning power has a very small window to it and actually demand market price like all our players and the rest of the NFL players demand. I don't know what made them drink the coolaid, and it was great that they did it for Kraft and the fans, but now look at Bruschi. This guy did not make a lot of money and he was perhaps the best linebacker in the NFL the last three years. He was by far the biggest playmaker.
  5. Fiscal discipline? Any other state? Dude, he's the leader of the highest tax burdened citizens in the country. What coolaid are you drinking? Pataki is a tool.
  6. Why is Pataki never raked over the coals for this taxation fact? What does this guy do exactly?
  7. Could not disagree any more. This team is poised for a serious run a the playoffs with the cutting loose of the dead weight known as Drew Bledsoe. Did you not notice how one change of position like runningback switched the fortunes of this team last season? The same thing will happen when we see JP able to avoid sacks and ad lib the Bills to a 10-6 season. It turns out that Bledsoe and Henry were holding us back from the playoffs. As far as free agency, we didn't need to go hog wild since we're set at every position except for two, left tackle and guard. These are important, but we're still in March.
  8. ...has been ok'd by the Arizona Cardinals and all we get are crickets on the front page of Two Bills Drive. This is big news because we were all told that the Cards squashed the deal when the trade talks broke down. Now we don't hear a peep outta these lazy Bills reporters. Has anyone heard anything on local radio out there in Bills land?
  9. The Eagles had their way with your secondary and now your best playmaking linebacker looks like he should call it quits. Do you realize how many game turning plays he's made for you? You better hope the offense can pick up the slack.
  10. I'd take Henry over Bennett anyday. Bennett is a weakling. But we ARE talking about the Cardinals here.
  11. Ouch!! I know you were serious, but I'm LMAO right now.
  12. The Raiders will be able to take down the mighty Pats. The Pats have taken a lot of hits to their party train this offseason. There's a chance they will not be the same juggernaut next season.
  13. So you're sure that the Patriots will be better than the Raiders next season? I'm not. I see the gap closing between the Pats and the rest of the NFL in 2005.
  14. Oh boo-freakin-hoo. Shut up Travis, TD says where and for what team you'll be playing for next season...not you. Did you forget that chicks don't dig runningbacks with empty bank accounts?
  15. who goes ahead and picks some stud defensive player that suddenly has skyrocketed up the draft boards the previous week (this always happens) then the Bills will become front and center trading partners for their 2nd round pick. If a couple of teams do this then there could actually be an all out bidding war for Henry's services. I have a feeling that these so-called "stud" runningbacks will lose their luster come draft day. I forsee a fun draft day after all.
  16. You just answered your own question. This is precisely the reason why TD is not overpaying players. He will need all the cap dollars he can get for the big three future contracts. Overpaying for marginal players and giving them big signing bonuses assures you of saying bye bye to at least one of the big three down the road.
  17. Wow! Could that website look any more busy? That site is way behind the times in terms of simplicity and readability. It's the content upchuck approach.
  18. This is what happens when you get desparate. Why wouldn't they sign some of the cheaper FA receivers from the Pats instead of that stiff? Givens, Patten, Brown? The Giants were so dumb here.
  19. There is no way that 10 million is the average salary of the top 5 corners in the league. Woodson must have had some extra money due him in some fashion. I would think that Clements would cost around 5-6 million to keep him an extra year.
  20. It sounds like there's an issue with the high school cheer routines. I thought you meant for pro cheerleaders. Big difference.
  21. Or making him the franchise player and keeping him for that extra season. This makes more sense if a team is a serious contender which the Bills will no doubt be by 2006.
  22. So cutting Bledsoe has become a negative? TD goes cheap? Show me an article stating Jennings was NOT overpayed by frisco. TD goes cheap? The Vikes payed TOP dollar for a 2 down second tier defensive tackle. If I'm paying that much scratch for a defensive lineman the dude better be able to rush the QB on passing downs. This offseason was not a disaster if you plan on paying our REAL stars in the future. McGahee, Evans and Losman's bills will come due around the same time period. Having to deal with Pat William's dead cap space would be no day at the beach fella.
