  2. 1st rd. OT Alex Barron (Clements goes to Washington, Bills may have to give up a mid rd pick) 2nd rd. TE Matt Jones (Henry goes to Philly or Tampa for an early second) 2nd rd. PK Mike Nugent (Bill's original pick) Sign Ty Law to replace Clements I like Clements a lot but I do not want the Bills to have a 7-8 million dollar a year cornerback starting in 2006 and beyond. Take the hit on defense, get something in return, put it to use on what the Bills lack most, offensive line talent.
  3. This was my quote word for word from that post: I think the Bills will get a 2nd round pick for Henry. I'm confused why you're arguing that Henry isn't an elite back like the Martin. I know this. The whole point was to reason why a team would want Henry for a 2nd round pick. I'm not sure you fully got this concept. Dillon was traded for a 2nd round pick because he was seen as washed up and a mental case. If he were being traded today it would be for a 1st rounder. Time will tell who's right. Highlights: 1) I said we'd likely get a 2nd rounder for Henry (you've been claiming I thought we'd be getting a 1st rounder). 2) I said "I know this" after asking the poster why he's aguing with me that Henry isn't an elite runningback like Martin! 3) You guys must be getting really tired or something.
  4. Ok, seriously, how is your eye sight? You quoted from MadBuffaloDisease, my name is 1billsfan. I'm not sure that was quite the I-Got-Cha you were looking for.
  5. You and VA are so full of you-know-what. Show me a post where I said Henry is an elite back. I challenge you to find it. I've been predicting Travis should and would net the Bills a 2nd round pick. I know it sucks to be wrong, but isn't that 5th round prediction looking awfully silly now?
  6. 1st rounder? To my knowledge I never said we'd get Henry for a 1st rounder. If I did it, I was wrong, or I felt that in back to back seasons Travis Henry showed his ability to be equal to that of a first round pick. But if you think Travis is getting traded for a 4th or 5th rounder then there is no reasoning with you.
  7. It's not that Shelton isn't worthwhile, it's that he's unproven. Travis Henry is proven, he's a tough-as-nails proven back to back 1,000 yard runningback. Henry always had much more value than Shelton. It's that simple.
  8. A month ago there were a rash of posts saying that TD was stupid for not taking Green up on his Shelton for Henry offer (Green originally wanted picks along with Henry which I'm sure did not sit well with TD). I'm just wondering if any of you feel the same way after hearing how the competition for Travis Henry is heating up. TD was right. Anyone care to acknowledge TD was right and they were wrong? Or you could just wait till after the draft when it's been proven.
  9. That is what I feel he's worth.
  10. Wrong, a swap AND LJ Shelton was what was being thrown around.
  11. Clements (for a 1st and 3rd), Henry (for a 2nd) are gone and we end up with a 1st, two 2nd rounders and two 3rd rounders. ...we then use those those picks on 2 corners, 2 offensive linemen, and a kicker. I like Clements, but I roll the dice and get the picks while their hot.
  12. You're wrong that the Bills would be "lucky" to get anything for Travis Henry. You're wrong about MM being respondsible for the Pittsburg game when it was Bledsoe's 3 turnovers leading directly to 10 Pittsburg points that was where the blame squarely sat. You're more wrong than right.
  13. This is coming from the same fan who thought we'd be "lucky" to get anything for Henry. Judging from the recent articles of the interest in Henry it looks as if you and your "insider" were flat out wrong. His and your player recognition skills seem debatable.
  14. It was never a bad thing. Some fans here always knew Henry's true worth and thought it stupid to just "give" him away to the Cardinals for a career underacheiver with a 3 million a year price tag. There were a lot of fans here wanting TD to cave in because they were afraid of not getting anything. I remember one poster here who thought the Bills would be "lucky" to get any draft picks for him. Said he had it from insider information. Where is he now???? I'd like to see him post that dubious fluff now. A 2nd round rookie doesn't hold anything against a proven player like Travis Henry, not in the real world of NFL football anyways.
  15. Hence the reason why so many have bolted. 106 Billion tab is NEVER good news for taxpayers.
  16. Deion Sanders may have been flamboyant but he was a team player through and through by making incredible game turning plays on defense and special teams to help his teams win Superbowls. It took a Willis McGahee to kick this team in the butt after the completely uninspired 0-4 death march they were on in 2004. I have no problem with Willis modelling himself after Deion. McGahee HATES to lose and that was something our "lunchpail" guys were completely missing at the beginning of last season.
  17. I liked Deion. The guy was always able to back up his talk...and he's got the rings to prove it. I may be in the minority here, but I think that football would be boring if not for the crazy characters like Deion and Micheal Irvin. I also think the Bills have lacked that kind of emotional charge the past few years and having a player like McGahee who wants to beat you and pump up his chest about it makes me feel especially great!!!! I'm tired of the shrinking violets of the past and I look forward to the more in your face attitude of the new Buffalo Bills.
  18. They aint stayin at the 55th pick. TD will find a fair trade partner to move up and grab a offensive lineman he has targeted.
  19. Thanks Drew. Fans here can paint it a rosey color all they want, but this really annoys me. The Buffalo Bills are a team with the best defense, best special teams and with the most dynamic runningback to hit the league in years. They were on fire last season winning 8 of thier last 10 and finishing with a winning record at 9-7. We absolutely killed the Rams last season, and the Saints just plain and simply suck. I guess MNF did not get their fill of awful games last season. I can't wait to see Drew get pummeled in his MNF game.
  20. Would you rather have Losman be facing the New England Patriots???? Houston is a beatable team, and IMO getting JP off to a quick start is more key than any juicy storyline. I would give Buffalo no chance in an opener against the Pats.
  21. One thing that I'm thankful for is that you and stojan are not the GMs of the Buffalo Bills.
  22. That's because people heard 1st round OT draft pick and assumed he'd had a decent career. If we want a player like Shelton we can just wait for Kenyatta Walker to be cut and sign him on the cheap. Green tried to hoodwink the Bills and I hope he ends up with squat now. At least we'll have the best backup runningback in the NFL if a trade never materializes. All bets are off if anybody's starter goes down in preseason...then it's cha-ching time.
  23. Take this... "We're not interested in that. We've told them that," Donahoe said. "When we receive from somebody what we feel as a staff is a fair trade, we'll make the trade, and if not, we're not going to trade him just to trade him. ... A lot of things could change in the next couple weeks." -Rochester D&C I still can't believe how many Bills fans here had downgraded Travis Henry to the point of wanting that grand larceny trade to go down. Arizona can shove it.
  24. Love the clam diggers. You da man Willis!
