Cardinals | Clement Released - from www.KFFL.com Mon, 25 Apr 2005 14:30:18 -0700 Mike Jurecki, of XTRA Sports 910 in Arizona, reports the Arizona Cardinals have released OL Anthony Clement. The team tried to trade him during the NFL Draft, but were not able to find any potential trading partners. Who's better? Him or Shelton.
-
They make it a difficult task for themselves with the analyst overload. Do you really believe Kiper wants to sit and rest during the draft??? The NFL draft was soooo much more watchable 10 years ago, it's now a shell of it's former entity. BTW, I don't remember any of the panel guys crying about how they needed a rest back then. Isn't commercial time rest time? Give me a break.

I haven't watched a Sportcenter from start to finish in about 4 years. They've jumped-the-shark a long time ago.

I like your avatar, it's how I feel watching ESPN produced shows.
-
Maybe you like your programming conveluded, I don't. I could see why people with short attention spans would love this sort of thing because ESPN seemed to be talking to someone different every two seconds fearing they'd be boring fans with just picks, information and video of the players.
-
But it's so true. Losman can threaten the guys in the huddle with, "Look! If we don't make this first down Lindel will come in and then we're all screwed! On two, on two, break!!"
-
Though it would have been sweet to have a kicker that'd hit a 50+ with regularity, I think it may have had a negative impact in terms of an offense's attack philosophy. I think a team would be far more willing to accept the 3 points rather than going for touchdowns. With Lindel, we're going for broke every possession!

Nothing worse than a Patriotknobbobber on draft day.

Clayton Rips Into TD...Again

If John Clayton were a dog he'd be Paris Hilton's little B word. -
I long for the days when it was just Kiper and Berman and the hightlight video of the players being drafted. They had waaaaay to many reporters, analysists and current NFL players that it choked off any sense of continuity or coherence to their coverage. The NFL needs to cut these NFL teams off at the knees and give them just 10 minutes for 1st rd picks after everyone of them wasted our time by needlessly taking up every second of their 15 minutes of time in a dull as dirt draft class.

Travis to Philadelpia not dead yet.....
1billsfan replied to Buftex's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
First off, blaming Henry for that 0-4 streak is being just plain dubious. Secondly, who cares what Travis' feelings are? I would hope that the GM of the Buffalo Bills is not taking a player's feelings into consideration when making football decisions. Incidentally, why do YOU care so much? The Bills currently have a great back up option if Willis goes down with an injury, and when he needs a rest. This would be a significant hole if Henry left the team. Unless another team comes in with a viable trade offer this will be Travis Henry's role. Cutting off his nose to spite his face is not a habit I'd like TD to start taking up. -

WTF?????????? Since when does having starter depth at the runningback position mean having nothing? You know little about the game of football. -
Ok Detriot, you're not the Raiders. I don't care how hard you try, you can't mix gansta black with hawaiian blue.

Anybody here think Clements is worth 8 million
1billsfan posted a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Clements will get that in his next contract and I just want to know who here is willing to pay that or have that kind of hit on the Bill's salary cap. I happen to think that top CBs are way way overpayed it's not even funny. 8 million dollars a year for Nate Clements???? That one is a head scatcher. Unless the player is the next coming of Johnny Unitus, then I'm not spending 1/10th of the cap on one player. I think Nate Clements is in the mix on Saturday because he's entering the last year of his contract and in no way will be a Bill in 2006. -
I'm thinking that those must be John "show me your abs RJ" Gruden's favorite buzz words.

I'll point out what you missed, I said "Last season Cory Dillon was regarded...". In other words "the perception was...". If Dillon didn't have any lingering issues he easily would have garnered a first round pick. End of story. -

Your not getting it. I'm talking about the PERCEPTION of Dillon's worth BEFORE the 2004 draft! Where in my post does it say that I thought Cory Dillon was washed up???? Please show me. Even after hearing all those perceptions from sports magazine and newspaper articles, I still thought that Dillon was still a very dangerous back given the right team. When he went to the Pats I was ticked off that another team didn't feel the need to take a chance on him. Dillon was never able to unseat Johnson, that's the same as being benched as far as I'm concerned. -

Last offseason Cory Dillon was regarded as a former elite runningback on the downside from the hits he had taken over the years. He was benched for Rudy Johnson for Gods sakes, not Willis McGahee. That alone told the NFL Dillon would not fetched for a first round pick. I know you think that we should compare today's Superbowl Champion Dillon with today's Travis Henry, but that would be unfair since last year's Cory Dillon was a runningback with a ton of issues (age, poor performance, injury, attitude) and was the reason he was only traded for a second rounder. -

I always laugh when I see this comparison. Dillon was seen thoughout the league as a banged up back with little tread on his tires and non-team player. He was damaged goods and the Patriots were the only team smart enough to pony up a second round pick. We only have a few days to finally find out Henry's true worth, I think it's a second round pick. -
Who Has Confidence in Josh Reed This Year?
1billsfan replied to IDBillzFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What really sucks is that Josh is in a contract year and if he should have a breakout season then he'd most likely go to a team that would make him a #2 receiver and pay him the big bucks. It almost might be better for Donahue to either sign him now to a low salary extension as insurance or just cut him now and let a new guy learn like Sam Akins who's under contract beyond this season. -
It seems the Buffalo News forgot to put the word "Dumb" before "Commentary". I still don't get why he thinks the NFL should do away with the draft. At one point he points out that teams pick out of whimsy, like TD taking McGahee, but...that...turned out ok. BOB, YOU'RE A MORON.
