Would the Bills be better off having Sammy at $16 million (and it could have possibly been cheaper if we signed him earlier) and adding to him with weapons in the draft or FA for Josh Allen? Or having a bunch of garbage for Allen (who shouldn’t have been playing in the first place) to throw to and look completely lost? Sammy was supposed to D Hopkins and obviously that didn’t happen. But he would easily be the best receiver on this team and a huge weapon for Allen. I can’t believe people are nitpicking surrounding a raw qb with talent. This regime has been complete garbage at identifying receiver talent.

I respect but hate this argument. I don’t think Texas Tech was loaded with nfl talent when Mahomes was there. If anything, I’d expect a 1st round qb to dominate against teams like UnLv and the MWC. Romo and Jimmy G dominated their conferences with no nfl talent. Caron Wentz won championships with no nfl talent. John seems like a great dude. But man, there is nothing Josh Allen has ever done that would demonstrate he could be putting up the historic numbers Mahomes is.

Long, long, long way to go on Allen. He is off to a worst start than EJ. And I never question their ability to find defensive talent since it’s SM running the team. Because we’re stupid?

It’s a G. Literally one of the easiest positions to find. I care more about finding a good QBs, wr, TE, hell even a C before I worry about a G. That said, hopefully he turns into a good starter. It would be one of the few position offensive moves this regime has made.

Of course college success doesn’t translate to nfl success. But lack of success certainly does. Allen wasn’t even elected to an All MWC team and struggles with accuracy. To suggest he would be putting up the historic numbers that Mahomes (who has demonstrated an ability to put up monster stats) seems like the ultimate homer comment. youre stil lthe man John. Keep fighting the good fight!

You don’t honestly believe this, do you John? Allen couldn’t even put up those numbers in the MWC. Mahomes has 53 tds his last year in college. He’s really, really good and has track record of being good. Allen has gotten overhyped because of his physical skills rather than his play.

For reals. Could you even begin to imagine if JP, EJ, or Allen put up Watson’s “questionable” first 16 game numbers of 4,000 yards and 36 tds? Has any Bills qb ever had a stretch like that ever?

It’s not worth it. They will never get that good offensive cos he’s know that having multiple threats on offense open up the entire offense. The Bills have constructed one of the worst offense in the history of the nfl in a league that begs you to score points. Almost every offensive decision they have made has been terrible. but I’m looking forward to fans nitpicking Sammy in the playoffs again. I’m sure he is terribly upset to be gone. Just like Gilmore. Just like Darby. Just like Woods, Just like Hogan. Thank you for rebuilding this disaster of a team McBean!!!

And Sammy is on a team that averages more points than that! But clearly, you and the Bills have this whole offense thing down pat. Our team is super fun to watch. I love our wrs. Sammy clearly won’t be an upgrade.

Josh Allen would doing the same exact thing in KC and Mahomes would suck here.

About $2 million less. And yes, I would overpay for a receiver to help my young qb. It’s exactly what the Chiefs did to help Mahomes. Threats open up the entire offense. McCoy is doing terrible because the defense don’t respect any receiver on our team and load the box.

He tried to sign him back but couldn’t because Andy Reid signed him for $16 million. McVay realized he couldn’t go into a season with 2 slower wrs like Woods and Kupp as his top 2 and immediately traded a 1st for Cooks.

The best offensive coaches want Sammy. The worst offense in the nfl didn’t want him. he has his flaws and might not never be the player he was coming out of college (ftr, I wanted Mike Evans badly in that draft). But I’d rather have Sammy at $16 million at age 25 for Josh Allen than our ? fest of receivers at whatever they cost.

The Browns sucks but their games are watchable.

They averaged 23 the last year he was fully healthy here. but again, Bills fans >>>> Reid, McVay. Our offense clearly improved without Sammy. So happy he is gone so I can watch Benjamin’s sun dial speed routes. also, Gilmore sucks according to fans here. So Bills fans >>>> Belichick

Stockholm syndrome: this board hasn’t seen seen a real nfl offense so they are defending Peterman’s play or Josh Allen 80 yard passing games. So sad!
