  1. I overall agree with your post but isn’t the whole job of a GM to have more of a crystal ball than fans?!? when you trade up for a non qb twice in twice drafts, which the previous GM used to criticize for, and possibly better players get chosen in the original draft spot, you should be open for criticism. That said, I’m not worried about TE. I generally agree but he wasn’t playing well before he went out again. But the lesson is never rush back earlier on a foot injury. It is a sneaky kill of athlete’s careers.
  2. It’s the Cam Newton treatment. Mobile qbs don’t get the same safety as pocket guys. I remember a season opener where Cam took multiple headshots with no penalties.
  3. I really hope the Bills don’t think this.
  4. Josh Allen with a tan They were never together Um, John! Maybe next time, let’s not talk about other QBs getting hurt. Bad mojo!
  5. Watkins was one of the best college receivers I have ever seen. In that one stretch with Tyrod, he was a top 10 receiver. Since he came back from the first injury, it hasn’t been the same. And in today’s nfl, you don’t need to be a killer MLB (apparently Dick Butkus played on all really bad teams). But I do think some fans underestimate how much natural instincts it takes to be a great MLB. It’s why very average athletes like Zach Thomas can become really good players. The ability to diagnosis a play quickly is a skill. TE doesn’t have those instincts yet.
  6. It’s an interesting idea for a star but he is flawed. Qbs who run a lot aren’t going to last long in this league. Regular qb rating is also a flawed stat as well. imo, Allen is basically the guy I thought he was and had ranked with Lamar Jackson (he is much faster than I ever imagine though). All the physical tools but his passing needs some major work. Hopefully upgrades on offense will aid in his development. I still have my doubts on the “all the tools but struggles with accuracy” qbs but I hope I’m wrong and he takes a major step next year.
  7. The sneaky thing too is Russell Wilson is averaging one of the lowest yards per game in the league. Pete Carroll is insanely underrated. One of the best coaches of this generation.
  8. I’m really not worried about TE but they put a lot on him. It’s rarely smart to trade up for a non qb. He needs to become an elite type MLB to really justify it, which is harder than fans think. But at the absolutely worse, he will be a really good OLB. also, I still think the Browns should have drafted Chubb. That would improve your secondary. It’s early but that’s a really good defensive draft.
  9. Trade them Daboll for a 1st in the offseason. He will run the ball!
  10. I’m not sure which is better. I do know both guys need to become better passers to be franchise qbs though. If you’re taking about CK, it was his 2nd year. My bigger point was just because a former player says something, it’s just another opinion. In fact some ex players say some of the dumbest stuff imaginable (Terry Bradshaw).
  11. Don’t really disagree with anything. Obviously playing with Brees was huge for JG. He’s had some bad injury and they catch up with every player. But yeah, looks like a very good deal for the Saints now. but it’s hard to argue with the success of Seattle. They have basically rebuilt their SB teams and are right back to being a playoff contender.
  12. I loved Graham and thought it was a god trade at the time. He was dominant and C is not that hard of a position to find. But injuries caught up to Graham. I also think playing in front of Brees helps to. and the Seahawks take chances like Whitehurst and Matt Flynn. They are never settling which I respect.
  13. I normally would agree but would you take Adrian Peterson or Todd Gurley over Matt Stafford? I think I would. And what’s to say the Giants don’t get a good QBs in the draft to pair with Barkley? It could be a Rams situation. Barkley is special and I’m not sure if any of these QBs are elite type guys. I guess time will tell.
  14. You missed the thread here when he threw a couple of training camp ints and fans were trashing him. Insane to think about it now.
  15. Jim Kelly wanted us to draft Tim Tebow. Ron Jaworski said Kaepernick was going to be an of all time. Everyone has an opinion. allen has done some good things but there’s a ton to prove. Hopefully the guys who built this crappy offenses add some real players next year and we don’t have to make a million excuses for poor QBs play.
  16. I think your post makes a lot of sense. Ending the drought was awesome but that wasn’t a good football team. This 2004 and 2014 ones were far superior. McBean are getting another year but they need to show they can build an offense.
  17. Or Leif Larsen over Brady! but in all seriousness, the 1st and 2nd rounds are the money rounds. Trading up for a non qb is rarely the smart choice and it’s something people killed Whaley for. I’m not even made about Edmunds but the Zay trade up is awful.
  18. He was bad at a training camp practice though. Kinda amazing he was able to bounce back from that.
  19. Cousins is ok but he is a dork and doesn’t come up big in big games. I get the Vikes had to go for it but this deal is going to be awful unless they win a SB. Cousins always gave me a slightly better Tannehill vibe.
  20. This guy said something positive about the Bills so he must be a great writer.
  21. Huh? Hundley was traded for a 6th and the Seahawks are 8-5 this year. The Unger stat is impressive but I don’t get the fake information. Jimmy Graham was one of the best weapons in the nfl when he was traded.
  22. I guess as Bills fans were are used to monster passing numbers so we take things for granted. But JG’s 10 tds last year is ok.
  23. That sounds like the beginning of a bad movie. Do you always make it home? its weird. I love my alone time but I never go to events solo. I respect people who do this. My goal is to be the guy in the bar reading a book.
