  1. Honestly asking: how many quality TEs actually available in free agency? Why don’t we just draft a stud for once? NE, the best team of our generation, constantly is drafting tight ends. But why would you copy a successful team?
  2. I know it sucks to hear but it’s why players should only look out for themselves. These guys are pieces of meat to fans and the teams. They get rid of them the second they are not valuable. I will say a know a bunch of former o and d linemen who lost a ton of weight after they were doing playing and skill players who went the opposite way. But I don’t care how much they make. Nfl (and SeC) players are under paid.
  3. We had the number 2 defense. Allen “led” a comeback against the Titans because of the defense. It goes both ways. again, I’d bet on Allen being the better qb long term. But Allen is closer to Jackson as a passer than Baker. And you’re a giant homer. And that’s awesome. Seriously. But I do know when I was in the place, I wasn’t objective. It’s also funny that some fans act like there is some bias towards the Bills in an article that mentions Foster, who most nfl fans know nothing about.
  4. Honestly with ESB, it’s all about upside. He’s 6’5” fast and played with a terrible throwing qb in college. I barely remember Ray Ray, who played at Clemson and wasn’t even their best slot receiver (that was 38 year old Hunter). I think it would have been for Allen to grow with a freak type receiver his rookie year. thats what drives me crazy about all the blame the other players are getting. The staff that picked Allen put together this offense. It didn’t have to be terrible. Allen didn’t have to be forced into playing if they managed the QB position. i swear this is nothing person. I didn’t like Allen before the draft because those guys fail at super high rates. I know people who know Allen and hear he’s a great dude. I want to be wrong. But I hope he isn’t going into the offseason thinking he doesn’t need to become a better passer because his wrs sucked. 60% passer with a 2:1 td:int ratio isn’t too much to hope for. And I sincerely hope he gets it because we might actually have a franchise guy.
  5. Of all the draft “experts,” I trust him the least. That said, salute to him for creating a business.
  6. The only concern I’d have with the Clemson guys is how much does playing with great players in the d line enhance their play. It’s really hard to double anyone on that line so I would guess they have a little easier job than a guy like Ed Oliver.
  7. Because they don’t have a lot of good players. But you also need to be forward thinking. most likely, when young guys are going to be up for big contracts, Star won’t be around. But it’s not an excuse to get sloppy with money now. And I think there are certain positions you should over pay for like o line, pass rusher, etc. imo, run stuffing DT is not one of those.
  8. Dareus was arguably one of the best DTs in football and was at a similar sack rate as Sapp through their first few year. All things equal, I think a dominant DT is more important than a receiver, since they are a dependent position. That said, I don’t see a dominant DT and the need isn’t big enough for us right now. Kiper just saw Kyle retire and just gave us a fill in.
  9. I think MD had so many deaths that he basically lost anyone to help keep him in line. But NRC seems like a really good dude and he’s a tough player. For some reason, we are great at finding corners.
  10. Kiper is the worst. The guy has a worse resume than most posters on this board. But respect to him for creating this business.
  11. I know everyone hates him now but Dareus has had some awful deaths in his life.
  12. Saratoga is awesome. It’s like a classy Bills tailgate. And just bet on the name of the horse you like. Works much more than you think.
  13. He gets paid $58,823.53 per tackle. I’m not even mad. That’s amazing.
  14. Haha. I was called a homer. oMG! ESPN ranked a qb who helped his team get to the playoffs with a better qb rating and better td to int ratio higher than our qb who had a 67.9 qb rating. It’s a conspiracy and obviously ESPN just hates the Bills. I cant believe I have questions about a team that went 6-10. I’m a hater! Who are you? Haha, I was called a homer for years here. Sorry, I didn’t love our 6-10 team this year. Stop being sensitive.
  15. Yup. We would totally say Jackson had a better year than Allen if he completed 52% of his passes, for more tds than ints, had a 67 QBs rating, and a losing record. You guys are so objective! Yeah, I would probably bet that too. Both will be gameplan we next year to stay in the pocket and bet teams with their arms. Allen has the better arm so I like his chances better.
  16. Jackson started 7 games while Allen started 11. imo, they are both at very similar levels at this point. i would bet on Allen having the better career because of his arm strength but it will be interesting. It’s seem like the Ravens are building their offense around Jackson.
  17. Duke gets anyone they want in. Those are good schools but I in terms of good their academics and sports are and what the standards they hold their athletes to, I would say Stanford has the best student athletes in the country at the D1 level.
  18. 58% > 52%, 84.5 QB rating > 67.9. 2:1 td:int > 5:6 td:int dude, if things were reversed, we lose our minds if Jackson was “picked” ahead of Allen. This ultimately means nothing but if you did a poll of every non Bills homer, they would say Jackson had a better rookie year. Doesn’t mean he will have the better career but it is what it is. Not worth getting “upset” one way or the other.
  19. Wow, I can’t even imagine. ? All the best to him and his family.
  20. Jackson had better passing numbers and helped his team go 6-1 while making the playoffs. Yeah, I still don’t fully believe in him (the Bills didn’t either since they cut him) but good for him for improving through the year. Hopefully, he will be a 3rd or 4th option as we improve the receiving core.
  21. Haha! It was before my time. Was that Len Dawson? Well, that changes everything. Go Pats!!!
  22. And you’re not wrong. Martin was from a different football world. Guys from Stanford are proud that they are nerds. Andrew Luck runs a book club. Martin probably never dealt with a guy like RI. I know guys like RI (who has his own mental health issues) who are don’t stop. Just oil and water. Lookkng back, it’s actually kinda amazing RI kept it together in Buffalo for so long. I think Martin’s high school was like one of the best in California and Stanford is completely different than every other D 1 school. It’s basically an Ivy League school where a lot guys are going because it’s not just about making it to the nfl.
  23. That’s kinda the point. Guys like Allen don’t get drafted that high and if they do, they were dominant. He wasn’t. And i I hear the Mahomes stat. Misleading because the conference switched. And all things being equal, I’d bet on the guy with 50 tds and awesome physical skills in a power 5 conference over the guy who didn’t make his make his all league team in the MWC with awesome physical skills. hopefully Allen will the complete exception to all the overwhelming evidence that we have had.
  24. http://www.espn.com/nfl/news/story?id=2604395 "Terrell has 25 million reasons why he should be alive."-- Kim Etheredge, Owens' publicist So did RI. Martin has his own stuff going on. But RI is also the guy who doesn’t know when to stop as evidence by most of his life.
