  1. Not knocking his talent but a guy on a loaded defensive line like Clemson or Alabama scares me. These guys have it so much easier than a guy like ED Oliver.
  2. It’s sad but some fans always blame the player. The coach was trying to rip his jacket off because he wasn’t playing. He easily could have pulled himself or had anothe coach talk to him. He was looking to embarrass him on national tv. given all the things some players do, it seems little a petty think to knock a guy for when I don’t think he has ever had any other issues.
  3. Agreed. Just something to talk about I guess. It would be interesting to see how it ended up matching up after the season. But this would be the time to bet on the Bills if you feel really strong about their over.
  4. I think the schedule is pretty much known at this point. We just don’t know how good the teams will be right now.
  5. I’m telling you man, it’s not. Feel free to look back. Turnovers, especially fumbles, are fairly fluky. and my main point of the defense is, as weird as it sounds, a better offense will hurt defense stats. The Rams have a better defense than the stats indicated but teams can’t just go into kill the clock mood agaisntvthem.
  6. Funny, Houston fired the coach. If a jacket bothers you that much, don’t dig too deep on past Bills teams. There was a lot worse than hacker blowups.
  7. You guys are so sensitive. I was never a Tyrod fan but it’s pretty easy to see why national media likes hkm better than Bills fans. He had a winning record with he crappy Bills, which is a miracle in some people’s eyes. He was a solid game manager who won’t lose you games. Obviously, we know how limited he is but you could argue that a peak TT game manger season might have got us to the playoffs this year. that said, it was time to move on.
  8. Who? I definitely won’t have predicted #2 but I knew it was going to be better than last year because we didn’t lose anyone. a guy like Barnwell uses analytics for a lot of his stuff. A reason he had the Bills falling back this year is because turnovers are fluky. I could still see the Bills having a top 10 defense. Another thing about defense rankings is teams took the pedal off against us in some of our blow out losses. Hopefully, with a better offense and maybe some more leads, our defense ranking may fall back, but we will be a better overall team.
  9. Whenever I feel bad about the Bills, I get happy than I’m not a Raiders fan. the sad part is they probably will be one of the richest franchises in a few years. I feel bad for fans of a team that moves (except the Jags) but the Vegas Raiders are going to blow up.
  10. So because BB isn’t going nuts about our QBs who had a 52% and 68 qb rating, you act his appearance? You seem rational.
  11. It’s also a much different nfl. In 2010, there were 8 guys with 300 attempts (MJD had 299). This year, there was 1. One thing I worried about SM is he seems stuck in the past.
  12. OMG! People still try to blame the Bills for RI being a lunatic. The man is completely unstable and was a 35 year old player who had no leverage. This reminds me of another guy who no matter how crazy he shows he is, people continue to make excuses for him. The fact that the Bills keep him sane for a few years is a miracle. He owes the Bills more than they owe him. And I love NRC. Dude is a playmaker and he was a great find (Whaley sucks!). I have no idea why he is talking about Brady. Not smart!
  13. But he was wearing a jacket on the sideline!!! i agree that he is the player at 9 who has a chance to be the best player in the draft. I would prefer a trade down but I could definitely live with him.
  14. Since we haven’t had 10 wins in 20 years, this would be a hell of a season. Hope you’re right! Yeah, our O/U will be either 6.5 or 5.5. Odds are we won’t have the #2 defense again. But the hope is the offense can be better than one of the worst. And Allen taking the next step.
  15. Easiest prediction in all of history, the Bills O/U 6.5 This is also true.
  16. I don’t get the Lock hype. He’s meh. Haha, fans are dumb. Grier is a fringe nfl qb.
  17. For some reason, you seem to not like Jackson. I think all UB fans will appreciate him more when the program takes a step back the next couple of years. He isnt a day 1 starter but is a perfect developmental prospect. He has the best arm in the draft, is huge, and mobile. He has some really nice touches passes as well. He has plenty to work on but he seems like a guy who could sit behind an established starter and maybe turn into something. Or maybe he won’t. But it’s weird that the best qb I ever remember UB having isn’t more popular on this board. I mean, that’s almost every below 1st round prospect. I’ve just seen the guy make some of the best throws I’ve seen from any Buffalo qb, on any level, make. But he has a lot of work to do.
  18. There’s no way Beane is winning a disagreement (and everyone has them) over SM. I believe that is a problem. Checks and balances is a good thing. Hard to do that when your GM was hired after your coach.
  19. Someone get ready to start another Brady and the Pats are done thread halfway through next year!!!?
  20. To say Tyrod is horrible destroys your credibility. I wasn’t a Tyrod fan because I knew he wasn’t good enough long term. But he was a solid game manager who won more games than he lost. We haven’t had a qb do that since the playoff years. If I talked about the Bills like that to my girlfriend, she would go into a coma from boredom.
  21. They were 9-23 before Lynn. And there are a bunch of guys Whaley drafted making contributions to good football teams. IMO, this franchise would have benefited from a GM selecting his head coach and not the other way around. This is SM’s show for better or worse. Hopefully, there excuses stop this year. They have their qb and a ton of money. No more teams with negative point differential and awful offenses.
  22. I mean Williams would have. But you’re right. I just think part of the issue is we have had bad olines and no threat at qb. The Pats and Saints seem to find good rbs later in the draft. Is that because they are better at drafting or because of the qb/ oline? also, shouldn’t Freddie be part of this?
  23. He played really well for the most part here. I did wonder if there are some character concerns that are holding things up. He seems like the type of guy that would make you nervous about giving a long term deal to. Teams don’t just cut 2nd rounders.
  24. Hate to tell Reid but he has his dream job. And there’s no way he is 24.
  25. Karlos was awesome (Whaley sucks) before he got stoned and fat. I also remember some good Holmes’ moments. but your point stands. I do think those were some bad olines. I think with a good oline and passing threat, rbs can be fairly interchangeable.
