Yeah, I mean at this point of their careers, they are similar. I think Crabtree probsbly thinks that he is better than he is and will only take money to come to a “non contender “ but would take less to go to a “contender.” I do think he would be nice to have a vet in the locker room though.

I don’t get why it’s that surprising. He has a 77 qb rating. There are way worse guys who get spots. Why do guys like Savage, Weeden, Peterman, etc. keep getting jobs?

Wanna be the next Billy Buffalo?

I would just like to borrow the costume for one night. ? -
Isn’t he basically what Zay is, except with better hands and much more expensive? I mean I won’t completely hate it but he is on the downhill slide. Plus, he would probably want a big over pay to come here.

Receivers might not either. That’s kinda of the point that some people are missing. No one questions Allen’s arm. But throwing missiles all the time doesn’t work either. I think the very underrated thing I saw with Mahomes is his touch on certain passes. I didn’t see that as much with Allen. I know now how hard you worked to defended his accuracy but honestly, what would be the Vegas line be on his completion % next year? 55? Aaron Rodgers has a similar background. He was smaller in high school, no big offers, went JUCO, and completed 66% of his passes in the PAC 10. im playing devil’s advocate and I hope you’re right. But of Qbs drafted in the last 10 years, Allen would be an absolute complete outlier if he turns into a top qb.

Mediocre receiver

I think Big Ben is a piece of crap. That doesn’t excuse Brown’s behavior. He has a bunch of off the field issues that aren’t Big Ben’s fault. Ryan Clark said money made him a monster. He went from a 6th round pick to a diva who is completely thirsty for attention. And for much as Big Ben is an idiot, he is a HOF qb who has 2 rings. You really believe Brown would come to Buffalo and listen to Josh Allen? I’m glad fans have big plans for Allen but most of the league still sees a ton of fault in him. Brown would hate it and he’s not the type of guy to be quiet about it. and which of those diva receivers are SB champions or make their team’s playoff contenders? Between TO, Moss, and Brown (why is Rice on there?), there are 0 championships. Team chemistry matters in football more than any sport. There are plenty of good receivers, Calvin Johnson, AJ Green, Hopkins, who aren’t selfish idiots. Find one in the draft for much cheaper and less headaches. I don’t disagree. But they still hold the cards. Brown is so desperate for attention, not being in the spotlight would kill him.

Allen 3000 yards. + 1000 yards

I agree with this John. But if the Bills don’t do anything when Gronk does that to White, they aren’t doing it for Allen. I get being disciplined but I hate being soft. -
Fair points but I think a problem fans get into judging receivers is end results. Receiver is the most dependent position in football. Hardy is probably a better player playing with Big Ben than he was with Trent Edwards. OBJ isn’t close to the same player if the Bills draft him. If the Colts draft Lee Evans, I believe he has a Marvin Harrison type career. Julian Edelman is nobody without Brady and now people (foolishly) ask if he’s a hall of famer. receiver, almost more than any position, depends on some many other things than just actual talent. Yeah, I agree. It’s the stuff fans don’t see: medical checks and interviews that make the biggest impact for teams.

Karlos Williams conditionally reinstated by NFL
C.Biscuit97 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Fat Karlos only had a brain. He was amazing as a rookie but he makes terrible decisions off the field. He plays a position that is easily replaceable so I have a hard tome seeing him playing in the nfl again. Such a waste of talent. -
The Oscars - Does anybody really care?
C.Biscuit97 replied to /dev/null's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Agree to disagree, respectfully. I thought Get Out was a great and original movie which Hollywood struggles to make now. If you think it got too much credit for other factors than it being a good movie, I couldn’t disagree more. and sure in a perfect world, these award shows would just be about saying thank you. But I guess that’s not the world we’re in anymore. Because of social media, everyone puts their opinion on everything out there. Like it or not, Hollywood people have a huge amount of influence (they always have). I think it’s weird that people want actors to be more mature and shut up more than our “leaders.” It’s a weird time to be alive. But yeah, most award shows are stupid. -

Not sure why it’s disgusting but hats your opinion. People certainly get fired about a movie show. I watched it with my lady, drank, and flipped back and forth to shark tank. Solid Sunday. you Realize how many awful, unforgettable movies have won in the past? -
Allen 3000 yards. + 1000 yards
C.Biscuit97 replied to Tatonka68's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is what I’m talking about. I get being excited but holy crap, these are unrealistic expectations. Allen averaged 170 yards passing. He also suffered an injury so probably he shouldn’t be running as much (I know he was in the pocket when he got hurt but still). Also, DCs are going to give him the Tyrod treatment next year. lets get close to 60% passing and 3,000 yards and go from there. -
Players rising and falling months after games because of what they do in shorts is the dumbest thing in sports. I remember Orlando Brown, who was awesome in college, fell because he had an awful combine. Well, he just started as a rookie OT for a playoff team. So dumb. It’s makes for decent TV though. Butler won’t be there at 40.

Or they signed guys in the middle of the season who were familiar with their offense. but again, what does Andy Reid know about offense? Clearly, Gruden was a much better judge of talent this year. He’s gotten farther in his career than you have in yours.

Get Out was the best movie and most memorable of last year. Awful take. And its an awards show. What do you expect? They are all meh. Though I’m sure the diversity is very threatening to some of you. -
I’m shocked an old creepy guy who is trying to be “hip” pays for sex. Shocked. I feel bad for the women who have to touch that old bag (and I’m not talking about Robert). It will be real interesting to see to see what the nfl does here because it made headline news and is super embarrassing to the league. Rich guys in America believe regular laws don’t apply to them. Pay some money and everything will go away.

It’s funny how people are dumping on EJ when he had a better rookie QB rating, more passing tds, and more passing yards/ game than future HOFer Josh Allen. He also would be the highest rated QBs on our roster. But what does Andy Reid know about offense??? keep getting those checks EJ!

I hate being Debbie downer but you realize Steve Young is considered one of the most accurate qbs ever right? He completely 71% of his passes his last year in college when teams were actually allowed to play physical. Also, how many qbs in history have done this? I love the enthusiasm but I’m not sure how realistic it is. -
1) Sammy got hurt so those stats are very misleading 2). The last 2 teams that had Sammy had the best offenses in the nfl. People laugh at the decoy thing but good offense have multiple threats. 3) no single GM would take Foster over Dammy, even with the money. 4) if Sammy was in the Bills last year and was forced to get the ball, he would have had a monster season. I do freely admit the injuries completely killed what Sammy could be. But comparing a guy like Sammy to Foster? Come on. Sammy was an all time great college receiver. Foster did nothing in college and we cut him. He is only in the Bills because no one signed him and our wrs sucked so bad. It would be awesome if he turned into a real legit nfl receiver but it would be really hard to bet on that. He is a 3 or 4 on a non bad offense.
