  1. Also if you want to cheer yourself, we could be the Vikings. Talk about an offseason from hell. Plus, 4 SBs losses and one of the best teams ever that didn’t win a SB lost when a kicker who didn’t miss a kick all year missed.
  2. I was born and raised in Buffalo. Still think it’s stupid that it’s not a dome. Screw the elements and “toughness.” I want to be warm drinking expensive cocktails.
  3. I agree with you 100%. It’s how I would play Allen with this receiving core. It’s what teams did with Mahomes too. but I do think Allen could win the mvp with much less numbers than he is accustomed to because he will get so much credit with the surrounding pieces around him.
  4. I don’t get why qbs like Lance don’t get to play is the USFL or whatever it is called now. Dude might not be good but he has almost no game reps. No qb would develop will give the lack of playing time he has. That would also make the USFL so much more interesting if you had high draft pick current nfl qbs playing it. It would also help the nfl because there are so many garbage qbs that never develop.
  5. Herbert is definitely of one those guys other qbs love because he’s so talented. I remember other qbs used to love Wentz because he could make those wow plays. Herbert is much better than Wentz but he does seem to get a pass for the Chargers being so meh. The Chargers will be really tough this year with Herbert having to do less. They will be a tough out.
  6. Lil bro just discovered the internet. 😉 but happiness is a product of your expectations. This has been a great era of bills football where we have been thought of as SB contenders every year for the last 4 years. On paper, this looks to be our weakest team in a while. Still a good team but the bar has been raised so high, that good isn’t good enough. Personally, I’m still looking forward to the season and have high expectations. But there are certainly valid questions (are these wrs good enough, Milano replacement, will we ever have a good pass rush).
  7. I never saw OJ and he sounds like he was a bit of a bad guy, but is that really wrong? I think you could also make the case for Big Rape being the best Steeler ever too.
  8. I swear every team I do survival I manage to be the biggest upset of the week in week 1 🤣
  9. Kincaid is going to be a monster but it’s hard for a TE (or big wr) to be a guy that threatens teams deep. I also think without that Diggs and Davis threats (I know fans love pretending guys suck once they leave but defenses paid attention to those 2 guys), Shakir is going to be more a possession type wr (I would guess he is 2nd in catches this year) and not a guy that threatens defense vertically as well. we have some solid 3 and 4 type guys. Problem is they are going to be counted on as 1 and 2s. Obviously, Keon is the wildcard but that’s asking a lot. Totally believe this can be a good offense but I think it’s going to be limiting some of the things that can make Allen so dangerous, like the deep ball or threats that loose up the defenses for him to get big gains in the run game. that said, I still think this is Allen’s best shot at mvp.
  10. Exactly. It’s shots at the lottery. The more shots you take, the better chance you have to win. Plus you have Allen so your margin for error is a lot higher. And they are cheap and can be molded. I like Hollins but he is what he is. Same with MVS. The only one who might have some upside is Samuel. But you want players who scare DCs and we don’t have that guy. That would be a great trade for him and the Bills. However, I doubt a team that drafted a rookie wants to give away one of his only weapons.
  11. The fact that Samuel might be a big loss says a lot about the WRs in the first place. this is a very meh group with a great qb. There is no one who scares defenses unless Keon makes some dramatic leap. Still it is plenty to win a bunch of games but like KC last year, the margin of error becomes so slim.
  12. Reid won nothing before Mahomes; was laughed at for his time management; and got fired in Philly. He identified Mahomes, traded up in the draft for him when they had a serviceable qb who took them to the playoffs. Reid is a very good offensive coach. Mahkmes has had the best start to his career of any qb in history and now Reid is looked as an all time great coach. So yes, you have to be a hater to not understand how good Mahomes. With that receiving core last year, that is one of the worst teams in the nfl.
  13. Agree 100%. I would have kept Diggs another year but I can understand it with the distraction he was becoming. But it is insane they didn’t take multiple WRs in this draft and are majnly relying on castoffs from other teams. we see if all the time that you draft a guy in the same position in the draft and the later drafted guy turns out to be the better player: McCargo, Kyle Williams; Hayden Hurst, Mark Andrews; RG3, Kirk Cousins. They left themselves no room for error plus rookies are cheaper.
  14. Eh, he made that bottom 5 group of WRs win the SB. Taking out Josh, there’s not another qb in the nfl that wins the SB with that crappy group. of course, their margin of error was super slim because of this crappy wrs.
  15. I think they really like their receiving core and have very high hopes this year. Watson also really struggles fo stay healthy.
  16. Pickens could be one of the best receivers in the nfl. He also is a giant head case without the resume and contract.
  17. I like Groot. Solid all around DE. Seems like he lacks burst to ever be a fearful pass rusher but I would love to see it, PS. I bet on his over for sacks last year at 7.5. I think he has like 3 after the first couple of games and still didn’t get it. 😞
  18. How the hell would I know if he did? I wasn’t in the room. I did know that the best case scenario was he had sex with a 17 year old. And I 100% didn’t want the distract of a punter with rape charge hanging on his head. As would anyone with a brain and the rest of the nfl would think. now that everything that has come out, he’s getting his chance. Good for him, hope he makes the most of it. But the Bills made the right move (again no one else signed him either) and I didn’t think about the punter once that season and I still don’t.
  19. Agree 100%. Beane has done great things and the Allen pick alone gives him a ton of job security. But why he goes so heavy on RBs (the Hines trade as well) blows my mind. He also has struggled big time with pass rushers. Wild that we haven’t developed a game changing DE with all the resources we have invested in it.
  20. I guess you have to be irrationally confident to be a pro athlete but he is out of his mind if he thinks someone wants him to start. He is a garbage starter but would be a top end backup and could milk a bunch of money that route. Kyle Allen sucks worse than Mitch and Barkley sucks more than both of them (nice guys). maybe stop with garbage retread backups. He was never good. He had one season of good player in college that got him completely over drafted over pre molestor Watson (it’s even dumber looking back at his college career and how great he was) and Mahomes (who threw 50 tds in a season). One of the dumbest moves in history. the bears had a great defense and hide Mitch with quick throws and RPOs. He’s why college qbs are hard to evaluate because they can have good numbers but never really make big boy throws. mitch, good guy, bad nfl qb
  21. Or we have a beast qb who scores all the touchdowns down there
  22. Hes getting the Aaron Schobel treatment - good player who gets irrationally hate because he’s not the best player at his position in the nfl. And when it turns out that Davis isn’t good enough to go against nfl defenses full time (Tony Pollard in Dallas last year), we will hate that we traded a good rb for a guy who is struggling to play in Washington.
  23. That group is the definition of meh. I’d take Sutton but he far from some game changing receiver. I don’t really agree with that. We traded a 1st for Diggs. We drafted Kincaid in the 1st. He has spent 3 or 2nd/3rds on RBs. Paid big money to Dawkins and Morse, tried trading for crazy AB. Drafted Coleman in the 2nd.
  24. I do enjoy a nice random jersey at a game though - Losman, Manuel (the Bills still screwed him!), Evans, etc. recently spotted a Todd Collins and London Fletcher while in Buffalo! but the Moorman era of the bills (not his fault) was the darkest chapter of my bills fandom. I will never cry about a piece punter again. its Worthy who might be the bigger problem that we let them have. So on a top 3 SB contender with one of the best offenses in the nfl, you would have kept a rookie punter investigated for raping an underage girl around?
  25. I literally have avoided most of the preseason for that exact reason. Great to have football back but it is so meaningless.
