  1. These plays happen all the time to every qb. It’s the hardest job in sports. Lamar isn’t the best passer but he’s really good.
  2. Yeah, the Heisman trophy college qb who Polian said should switch positions is now the beneficiary of his race. I don’t know people who think like this function. maybe and this is crazy, the qb from the most dominant team who were killing everyone (see the SF game) and only had flukes losses deserved to be the MVP.
  3. So two MVPs at 27 doesn’t make you a top 10 qb? That’s a tough standard. and this is where fantasy football has ruined football (and I love fantasy). The Ravens were curb stomping teams last year. There is so stat they were only trailing in a game for like 15 minutes all season. A dime a dozen Gus Edwards had 13 tds. I guess to a real “MVP” Lamar should stat padded in second halves where they had double digit leads and audible to qb sneaks at the 1. It’s silly. Allen could have 15 less tds this year and be a better qb. And if that happens and the Bills are good, he will be in MVp consideration.
  4. Hollins and MVS are great lockerroom guys, but if those are your answers, you need to ask better question. Hopefully, Coleman emerges but the lack of a good downfield threat puts a burden on the offense imo.
  5. Speaks to your mindset that is how you took that comment.
  6. Yup and the hate is because Lamar looks different than his people think nfl qbs look. probably the most prototypical qb of all time is Peyton Manning. He didn’t win his first SB until 30. Lamar is 27 and is getting crushed because he lost to Mahomes and the Chiefs on the road by a toe.
  7. Qb looks so easy in screenshots. Why do some many of this guys bust?
  8. I’m not going to argue about Jackson’s intelligence but Nix was in school as long as doctors, so his should be higher! and this rep of Nix being some mastermind is crazy. He had the benefit of playing more than any college qb ever. Oregon has a gimmicky offense. https://www.draftsharks.com/article/bo-nix-dynasty-value#:~:text=Bo Nix's 6.8-yard average,targets%2C per Pro Football Focus.
  9. Agree to disagee. Oregon is a gadget offense and he threw a lot of screens. When teams challenged him to beat them down field, he struggled. I also think it’s easier to process things when you’ve are in your 8th year in college. 😃 he is a better fit for Payton offenses but for as good of a rep as he has, what has he done without Brees? We’ll see.
  10. This seems like a lot of cope. We would be losing our minds if Coleman had that debut. and that’s the whole point of having a guy like Worthy. His presence alone is going to put defenses on edge. Kelce will get more open now. KC won 2 SBs after trading away the most dangerous (and biggest scumbag) wr in the game away. If Worrhy is a C version of Hill, that is going to be really tough to deal with.
  11. Thanks for the clarity and that makes more sense. I think Nix is the definition of a JAG and only got drafted because he got to play 8 years in college. Payton can prop him up but he has no remarkable traits and can see him being a backup in a few years. MAye is more interesting because I would rather the Pats have Mac Jones (terrible) than him. He has Allen “skills” but he has a lot of work to do and NE is a garbage organization right now.
  12. Great point with the Herbert example. I like him and it looks more like how you envision nfl qbs being. But he hasn’t done a thing better than Lamar unless you are the most biased person ever on the planet.
  13. Eli “won” 2 SBs with teams that went 9-7 and 10-6 (while having a career .500 record and an 84 qb rating). He won one SB were they scored 13 points, a dude who had a football stick to his helmet, and an awesome defense that shut down one of the best offenses ever. Eli is certainly luckier than Lamar. But there is not one legitimate statistic where he is better than Lamar.
  14. This sums up the problem with receiver. It’s a completely dependent position. I like the guys who play with Mahomes and Allen better than the other guys. It was one game but man, it’s tough watching Worthy make plays like that. If there is one thing this offense misses is speed that doesn’t cover themselves (MVS good guy, bricks for hands).
  15. I counter with this Bo Nix, the 25 year old dink and dunker, will be better than a 2 MVP is certainly a take.
  16. The same media that trashed him in the draft after winning a Heisman? he isn’t the best passer. But he helped make Andrew’s into a weapon (3rd rounder) and has played with a lot of crap at the receiver position (Flowers is the best receiver he’s ever played with and he’s in his 2nd year). Last year’s Ravens team was one of the most dominant DVOA teams of all time. dude has a lot to prove in the playoffs and certainly has his flaws. But to act like it’s the media bias that he is one of the most electrifying qbs to ever play and he doesn’t win 70% of his starts (his backups have a losing record when they have replaced him) is wild. He’s really good, albeit flawed.
  17. Agree on the first 5 but yikes on the second part. i will bet you a lot of money that Maye and Nix don’t win multiple MVps and win 70% of their starts. DM to let me know the amount.
  18. Agree 100%. I was very skeptical of Allen (lack of faith in the Bills, his college resume) but him and Lamar are pretty similar. Both got a lot of hate (Lamar won a Heisman and idiots talked about him having to switch positions), they are super exciting, and are very good qbs who do it their way. the Ravens have one good wr and they came within an inch of going for a win against the 2 time defending champions. After a 85 yard drive in about a minute. Absolutely stupid to hate on him today. A toe?
  19. They are 58-19 in his starts and have a losing record when his backups play. They have had a very mid group of offensive weapons around him the majority of his career. Definitely needs to prove it in the playoffs but he’s really good. and besides mahomes (insane but understandable), Jackson is the most hated on qb on this board.
  20. I get why Bills fans don’t like a rival qb but I personally think it’s weird to hate on Lamar. People think Allen got hated on (he did) but Lamar went at the end of the 1st, after winning a Heisman. And morons said he won’t even make it as a qb in the nfl, after winning a Heisman. he plays a unique style and isn’t exactly loaded with offensive weapons. Jackson and Allen are pretty similar great stories. This is where McDermott gets too much hate. Allen joined a playoff team and has consistently had top 5 defenses to support his growth. Daboll was an awesome OC and Allen had him for 4 years, which never happens with successful OCs. there is this weird thing that Bills fans like to do and pretend Allen was just awesome right away. Allen worked his butf off to be awesome and has one of the unique skill sets of any qb ever. But the Bills, especially Sean, have done an amazing job supporting his growth. people act like McDermott is Nate Hackett (offensive guy!) instead of a top 10 head coach.
  21. What were their other options? McDaniels is one of the best offensive coaches in the nfl and Tua was the highest rated passer in nfl last year. We I’ll always beat them, especially in the cold, but in theory, they have a good QB- head coach combo.
  22. There were also reports that the Jets camp was great and everyone was happy. Few ways this is going to happen: - Rodgers is a washed up weirdo. Hurts chemistry, starts calling everyone out, Saleh gets fired, and they have to find a new qb next year. - one of the most talented rosters in the nfl can get even average qb play after the worst in the nfl last year from a former 3 time MVP, they are one of the most dangerous teams in the nfl. And LI bros become ever more annoying. let’s just hope the Jests stay the Jests. I can’t handle their fans if they ever become good.
  23. I mean if you’re playing with all 5 stars, how hard can your job be? It’s why Bama and USC qbs have struggled in the nfl (fyi Caleb had a pretty blah group this year at USC and is set up well for the Bears so I’m pretty sure he will be the exception). but Sean will get the best of whatever is in him. If I was a FA d back, I would try my hardest for a one year deal with the Bills.
  24. You really think that they are choosing Allen for clicks? Won’t it make more sense to choose someone from a bigger market or mahomes?
  25. It’s funny how less personal Allen takes this me meaningless crap than some fans. Dude has the best outlook on things.
